-1950: The City Council was able to provide The Butchers' Gild with a suitable hall, appropriately in The Shambles.

1957 -- The Butcher Shoppe and its parent corporation, Scotland Road Market Inc., are founded as Kennie's Market at Scotland and Roland avenues in Chambersburg.

1964

1964 -- C. Glenn Koons and wife, Lorraine, gain full ownership from Kenneth Faust.

1977

1977 – A second store, The Butcher Shoppe, is opened on Stouffer Avenue.

1980

1980 -- With the success of The Butcher Shoppe, Scotland Road Market is closed.

1991

-1991: The authorities looked for a 'commercial rent' for the Butcher's Hall located in The Shambles.

2004

-2004: Butchers once again become important to restaurants when Danny Meyer asks Pat LaFrieda, a third-generation Manhattan meat purveyor, to craft a custom blend of hamburger for his Shake Shack restaurant.

2006

2006 -- Mary Sue Keath, the Koons’ daughter, and her husband, Frank, assume ownership of The Butcher Shoppe in the fall.

2011

-2011: The Butcher's Guild formed and began accepting professional members

2015

2015 – The company’s first micro market opens at Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe in September.

2017

2017 -- Micro market opens at the Coyle Free Library in December.

2018

2018 – The Grant Street Loft is projected to open in the fall.
