Detailed Description:
How Will You Make an Impact?:
Interns at Brown and Caldwell make a daily, material impact by completing support duties to advance their team's projects and objectives. They receive professional training and the support of their team. Interns can expect to be onboarded, mentored, and developed by industry leaders to develop real-life skills and make an impact on their assigned projects.
As a Summer Intern, you can expect your experience to include the following:
* Organize, tag, and craft project descriptions in our database to gain understanding of our projects & clients
* Align client strategy materials in our database to create a central repository for information on our clients
* Conduct research on competition and client background materials to support our Business Development activities
* Work with staff on social media communications to support conferences and other industry events
* Successfully manage and deliver assignments on time.
* Working independently and with teams to complete assignments with other team members in a virtual platform.
* Manage and deliver assignments on time, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
* Complete an Internship Capstone project demonstrating skill development, learning, and accomplishments gained during the summer internship experience.
Work schedule and location: Summer Interns with Brown and Caldwell work a full-time schedule of 40 hours a week and may have the potential for hybrid work schedules and fieldwork.
Desired Skills and Experience:
* To qualify for an internship, you must be enrolled as a student seeking a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
* You must be enrolled for the 2025-2026 academic year and plan to continue in Fall 2026.
* You also must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Salary Range: The hourly pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Additional Geographic Pay:
Officers who work in the five boroughs of New York City or in Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, or Westchester counties will receive an additional $1,762 annual downstate adjustment.
In addition to the downstate adjustment, Police who work in the following locations will receive an additional supplemental local pay in the following amounts: the counties of Orange, Putnam, and Dutchess counties - $1,467; the five boroughs of New York City, Rockland, and Westchester counties - $2,204; and Nassau and Suffolk counties - $2,571.
Officers who work in the Mid-Hudson region (Dutchess, Orange, Rockland, and Westchester counties) or Downstate region (Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, Richmond, Nassau, or Suffolk counties) are eligible for an additional $15,000 in geographic pay differentials.

Health Research, Inc. is seeking an Hourly Project Assistant II to participate in the work related too the hydraulic behavior of water disinfection contact systems, tanks, pools, and other vessels. The incumbent will use fluid mechanics modeling software and apply this knowledge to drinking and recreational water applications. The objective of this work will be to demonstrate how judicious vessel design provides a more efficient means for treating water in the event of a contamination event. Results gathered will be published in scientific literature and support local health departments and the engineering community in design review and developing guidance documents and best practices.
The Division of Environmental Health Protection (DEHP) is providing an opportunity for an individual to develop investigative skills with an endpoint that provides public health and technical professionals with knowledge that is both accessible and useful for the current practice of public health. The work will include literature surveys, development of skills in using modeling software, design of simulation experiments, execution of simulations, and the development of conclusions that are supported by the work. This type of investigative work is typically not available to public health or private sector engineers and design professionals. The information developed from this project will equip professionals with the needed understanding to incorporate better-quality designs in new and upgraded drinking and recreational water treatment systems. This information will also provide a means for more effective troubleshooting of drinking water systems where the source of the problem is not readily identified.
The incumbent will develop their understanding of water treatment and how hydraulic flow patterns affect the time that is required to decontaminate a vessel of a target agent (i.e., microorganisms, turbidity, dissolved chemicals). These analyses can also be used to model the time required to decontaminate the air in an enclosed space such as an auditorium, classroom, or other place of gathering.
While working with the DEHP team, the incumbent will learn how to and/or become familiar with the scientific method as it applies to applications in public health. The incumbent will learn how to formulate a hypothesis, develop a theoretical and/or numerical method to test it, use the method to obtain new data/information to test the hypothesis, and develop a theory that is supported by analyses. These analyses will be used to author journal articles that will assist in developing guidance. The incumbent will work with theoretical analyses, numerical methods, and the use of various software packages to develop plots, figures and documents that will be needed to memorialize the effort.
This position is part of the Pathways to Public Health Internship Program and the purpose is to strengthen career pathways to public health by bringing together individuals of all disciplines and academic levels with public health professionals to create a space of exploration, learning, and development.

About the Team:
The D/Cipher product team manages the prioritization and feature development for the systems and tools needed to support the D/Cipher managed service business. D/Cipher is a cookieless, intent-based targeting platform that uses first-party data and content signals to connect advertisers with consumers at key decision moments across People Inc.'s digital brands.
About the Role:
Interns will support the D/Cipher product team through product analytics, auditing data capture, building reports, generating insights, and recommending additional tagging. They will also assist with the review and testing of new agentic features within D/Cipher, validating use cases, conducting practical user testing, and documenting results. In addition, interns will gain exposure to defining design requirements and presenting them to design teams as part of the iteration and development of D/Cipher+ features.
Internship Responsibilities will Include:
Product Analytics -data audit, building reports and insights, and making recommendations for additional tagging
Agentic feature review and testing
Develop requirements for and present these to the design team to build or iterate on d/cipher+ features.

Pay Range

Health Research, Inc. is seeking an Hourly Project Assistant II to improve the Newborn Screening (NBS) Program's existing parent-specific educational materials regarding the disorders included on the NBS panel. The incumbent will assist with literature reviews and create parent-specific educational fact sheets for the disorders on the NBS panel. Literature reviews will focus on the symptoms, prognosis, diagnostic methods, treatment options, frequency, causes, inheritance pattern, resources, and other names for each disorder. The incumbent will assess educational resources provided by other state NBS programs and national organizations. This information will be used to create educational fact sheets specifically intended for parents/families. These fact sheets must present the educational content in an accessible and understandable format. These fact sheets will be available to external stakeholders on our website and may be included in communications with pediatricians when babies have abnormal NBS results. The incumbent will assist with daily programmatic functions such as sorting and preparing outgoing mail correspondence, sorting and scanning incoming documentation, and contacting hospitals and healthcare providers when repeat newborn screens are needed. The New York State (NYS) NBS Program is a public health service provided by the Department of Health to families with newborn babies. The NBS Program provides screening for over 50 health disorders, many of which present with no clinical symptoms at birth. These disorders may be life-threatening or result in serious developmental disability. The NBS Program aims to detect babies at risk for these disorders prior to them becoming symptomatic, so that families can be connected with early diagnostic testing and treatment. The goal is to help these babies to live as long and healthily as possible. The success of the NBS Program depends on close partnerships with stakeholders such as families, pediatricians, clinical specialists, hospital staff, and local public health officials. Families of newborns often look to the NBS Program for information about the disorders on the panel, especially when babies have positive newborn screens.
The Hourly Project Assistant II will apply their skills in analysis, writing, design, and teamwork. The incumbent will search for and evaluate sources of scientific literature to accumulate a body of knowledge for each disorder on the NBS panel. The incumbent will apply their skills in analysis, organization, and critical thinking in evaluating the current data on each disorder, looking for common themes, discrepancies an outliers. The incumbent will use their editing skills to create an education document that balances scientific content with accessibility and readability. Design and formatting skills will be employed to create a fact sheet that is visually appealing and follows organization-specific guidelines.
The Hourly Project Assistant II will become familiar with navigating the ever-changing landscape of medical literature and creating audience-appropriate deliverables for an organization with internal branding and content requirements. The position will provide the individual with experience working in a large public health program, nurturing relationships with stakeholders, and developing educational resources for parents. This project gives the incumbent the opportunity to have a significant impact on the families of newborns in New York State, particularly those seeking additional information about the disorders on the NBS panel after an abnormal newborn screen.
This position is part of the Pathways to Public Health Internship Program and the purpose is to strengthen career pathways to public health by bringing together individuals of all disciplines and academic levels with public health professionals to create a space of exploration, learning, and development.

The Photo/Video Studios Intern will be exposed to a wide range of productions, including video shoots and photo sessions. Officers who work in the five boroughs of New York City or in Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, or Westchester counties will receive an additional $1,762 annual downstate adjustment.
