Call is rotated on a weekly basis among the 11 therapists. The department consists of three Linear Accelerators and two CTs. They also provide High Dose Rate Brachytherapy in the department. Delivers radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Prepares patients for a course of Radiation Therapy inclusive of simulation, dose calculations and acquiring of treatment parameters. Responsibilities And Duties: 35% Administers Radiation Therapy treatments on a daily basis. 20% Maintains daily record of treatment, inclusive of daily dosages and calculations and other necessary treatment records. 5% Performs simulations, acquires treatment parameters, patient contours and dose calculations. 10% Therapists who are scheduled to work 80 hours per pay, may be required to be on-call for weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. 10% Maintains patient schedules for In-Patients and Out-Patients communicates frequently with families and hospital personnel to maintain schedule coordination and accommodate patients as best as possible. 10% Monitors patient Condition and progress on a daily basis. i.e., patient weighs, skin care, reaction, etc. . 5% Assists Radiation Oncologist in performance of Brachytherapy procedures. Job Summary The Personal Care Services Aide is a person who provides support, assistance with personal hygiene and household functions for an individual to be able to remain in their own home. Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities May provide or assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing in bed, tub or shower; care of hair including shampoo, combing and brushing; care of teeth and mouth including denture care; nail care, filing only; skin care including peri care and applying lotion; transfer of patient from bed to chair and to wheelchair. Transfer of patients on and off bedpan, commode and toilet. Reports observations of the client's condition to the agency director or accounts manager Drives safely, complies with traffic regulations, and wears a seat belt when business travel is required. Assists with household tasks directly essential to clients' personal care. Experience Desired Six months experience in home care preferred. Successful completion of a competency evaluation. License Requirements Current CPR certification required. Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation. Skill Requirements Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified patients' needs. Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the patient. Able to work independently.
