Job Title: Clinical Case Coordinator, ISU CASES is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Case Coordinator for our Intensive Services Unit. Upon admission to the program, the Clinical Case Coordinator promptly conducts Supervision Introduction/Orientation meetings with new participants to review supervision conditions stipulated in their supervision plan.
The Clinical Case Coordinator assists participants on their case load to comply with supervision appointments and court appearances during the pendency of their legal case. Clinical Case Coordinator conducts ongoing assessments of service needs with participants and collaboratively develops service plans that address identified needs and goals. The goal is to reduce recidivism, enhance engagement in community treatment services and support participants in achieving their self-identified goals for treatment, recovery, rehabilitation, and successful community integration. This position requires close collaboration with a clinical team, working directly with a Peer Specialist to ensure a coordinated approach to participant care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. They will thrive in a collaborative clinical environment and demonstrate a commitment to the principles of rehabilitation and community reintegration.
This initiative will implement innovative approaches to working with individuals who have been placed in the Supervised Release Program and experience more extensive needs and challenges that may impact daily functioning and overall program engagement. The focus group of program participants manage challenges in mental health, substance use, employment and medical health. The team promotes proactive, sustained engagement in the community as a catalyst to individual transformation by bridging participants to community partners and resources eager to support our participants in realizing their greatest potential.
Salary: The salary for the Clinical Case Coordinator role is $69,010 per year.
Shift Hours: The Clinical Case Coordinator is working Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

What you will be doing:
Will provide community-based direct services to a limited, specialized caseload of pretrial participants that may include a higher recidivism risk, participants with mandated treatment requirements, and those individuals with higher profiled cases.
Rapidly at the point of arraignment conduct Intake Assessments to identify immediate critical needs that must be addressed to further sustain program involvement and enrollment.
Participate in regularly occurring team meetings and case conferences to ensure seamless coordination among staff, wide dissemination of participant information as well as rapid responses to urgent needs.
Facilitate effective collaboration with staff delivering court services to ensure the efficient enrollment of new participants into the program while gathering the necessary basic information for ongoing service provision.
Link participants to emergency, housing, education, vocational, employment, and treatment services based on their preferences and needs, provide navigation to community services, and establish effective collaboration and positive relationships with community providers.
Will conduct review of legal and court screening documentation to facilitate admission and ongoing needs assessment of criminal history, psychosocial, developmental, and behavioral health needs, supervision risks to identify engagement approach, focus for behavioral change, and needed supports to reduce re-arrest, and promote success in the community following program completion.
Will utilize problem solving and motivational interviewing to help motivate and engage participants in the change process, ensuring the supervision and case management approach is culturally competent, gender-responsive, trauma-informed, and adheres to evidence-based risk-need-responsivity principles.

What we are looking for:
Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology or other relevant clinical discipline.
One to two years of experience providing clinical services to individuals to families or groups managing challenges in Behavioral Health and the Criminal Legal System.
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.

What You Will Be Doing:

Brooklyn Justice Initiatives is seeking an Office Manager. Reporting to the Deputy Project Director of Alternatives to Incarceration, the Office manager will coordinate administrative, fiscal, and front desk operations for the Alternative to Incarceration and Early Diversion portfolio.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Administrative and Fiscal Duties:
Reconcile organizational credit card transactions and prepare monthly expense reports in a timely manner; conducting any necessary follow ups with vendors, the Center's Accounts Payable team, and/or other appropriate staff;
Submit and monitor purchase orders, and invoices, and liaise with the Center's Fiscal department for expense tracking;
Oversee procurement of office supplies, program materials, and other necessary items, ensuring fiscal responsibility;
Maintain accurate digital and physical records of office expenses;
Build and maintain internal mechanisms to keep track of purchase request, receipts, and invoices;
Maintain systems to receive staff request for purchases; keep track of inventory of program and office supplies; ensuring all supplies are well stocked and organized across BJI office locations (courthouse and community office); and
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages between office spaces (courthouse and community office).
Supervision and Team Support:
Provide direct supervision to administrative staff, temporary staff, interns, and volunteers;

Event and Space Management:
Arrange setup and cleanup for special events, group activities, and site visits, including ordering food, setting up technology, organizing furniture, and preparing materials and agendas;
Maintain organization and cleanliness of shared spaces, such as conference rooms, kitchen, restrooms, and waiting area; and
Additional tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of experience working in an office/human service field;
At least one year of experience working with justice-involved populations is preferred;
Bilingual strongly preferred (English/Spanish);
Familiar and comfortable with computer and tech, hardware and software, strongly preferred;

The Doe Fund is contracted by EDC to provide support services for its Clean-Up Corp Programs hiring approximately 55 full-time workers. These Clean-Up Corps Programs - Graffiti Free NYC and Clean NYC are the City's principal task forces for removing graffiti and cleaning New York streets across five boroughs and work in close coordination with City Hall and the Mayor's Office on high priority requests. Work consists of: site cleanup, beautification, area maintenance, graffiti and snow removal. The Doe Fund also provides additional vocational and job training, with the goal of improving their career trajectory and gaining higher paid employment.
Program Overview:
The Clean NYC program was announced in 2016 as a joint effort between the Mayor's Office and NYCEDC. The program brought regular power-washing capabilities and garbage collection to clean sidewalks in heavily trafficked corridors in all five boroughs, with the goal to build welcoming, vibrant communities and business districts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

THE OPPORTUNITY
Brooklyn Justice Initiatives (BJI), the largest operating project of the Center, seeks to re-engineer the experience of criminal court in Brooklyn, New York, by providing judges and attorneys meaningful alternatives to bail, fines, and jail sentences. Operating out of Kings County Criminal Court and community-based offices, BJI is a team of social service providers, court-based resource coordinators, mental health practitioners, compliance specialists, and others who seek to improve the quality of justice. Supervised Release offers an alternative to jail by providing pretrial supervision, case management, and voluntary social services to people charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses, and in doing so, uses an arrest as a window of opportunity to change the direction of a participant's life, avoiding the harmful effects of incarceration. Program participants are monitored to ensure their appearance at court dates and mandatory programming, and receive referrals to services like job training, drug treatment, and mental health counseling.
BJI is seeking a Court Liaison, Supervised Release Program. Reporting to the Supervising Court Liaison, the Court Liaison will coordinate with court stakeholders to ensure the successful release of program participants to the Brooklyn SRP. The Court Liaison will review all available court-related information about each participant released under supervision to complete the necessary paperwork. Once participants are enrolled in programming, the Court Liaison will provide written and verbal updates to the court, including defense attorneys, assistant district attorneys, and judges, on a regular basis. The Court Liaison also covers various Criminal and Supreme Court parts across multiple locations, including specialized court initiatives and arraignments. Specific responsibilities include conducting program orientation with all participants released into the program and representing the program model during arraignment proceedings and post-arraignment appearances.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Serve as a liaison in the Brooklyn arraignment, all-purpose, treatment, supreme court, and trial court parts to act as a representative of BJI operating program and to facilitate the release of participants onto supervised release;

What You Will Be Doing:

3-5 years of progressive experience in information technology, including a minimum of 3 years managing infrastructure and cloud services within Microsoft 365;

THE OPPORTUNITY
Queens Community Justice Center (QCJC) operates an array of programming for local youth, with a particular focus on engaging those with justice involvement. Current initiatives include an alternative-to-detention program, an alternative to incarceration program, workforce development initiatives, clinical services, and mentorship programs. By offering positive pro-social programming for young people, QCJC aims to stop the cycle of delinquency for adolescents and reduce reliance on detention. The Justice Center supports safe and healthy neighborhoods through alternative justice strategies, violence prevention, economic development, community healing, and youth opportunity.
The Queens Community Justice Center is seeking a Clinical Specialist for the Uplift Program. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the Clinical Specialist will provide evidence-based assessments and interventions, case management services, family engagement, restorative practices, and clinical services. The Uplift program is a trauma and healing program for young men between the ages of 16-24 who have experienced exposure to violence, with a special focus on individuals in the justice system. The Uplift program provides therapeutic services and mentoring.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conduct outreach and recruitment of participants into the program, including public presentations;
Complete intakes of participants and administer assessment tool;
Provide comprehensive, clinically informed case management services to participants;
Perform individual counseling sessions;
Facilitate group sessions with the program mentor for program participants;
Conduct family engagement and engage families for wraparound services as needed;
Plan special events for participants and their families;
Conduct outreach to collateral sources as needed;
Submit court letters and appear in court as needed;
Communicate with service providers to facilitate, follow-up and assist participants with voluntary service referrals;
Maintain needed communication with all program partners to ensure proper services are being delivered to all participants;
Provide clinical support to participants in other mentor programs at the Queens Community Justice Center as needed;
Assist with data tracking, reporting, and fiscal operations;
Complete all necessary documentation and input data into computer database;
Attend staff meetings and on-going trainings as well as participate in community events held by the Queens Community Justice Center; and
Perform additional relevant tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Master's in Social Work or have an equivalent master's level counseling degree and at least two years of experience;
Must be a skilled communicator able to work in a multi-disciplinary setting and maintain strong relationships with multiple agencies and organizations both onsite and in the community;
Experience providing group and individual counseling preferred;
Have an understanding of trauma and trauma reactions in individuals;
Seeking an extremely outgoing, personable, and professional individual who can think creatively and critically about their approach in engaging a marginalized population; a detail-oriented, self-starter who takes initiative and can get things done in a high-paced environment, and who is sensitive to working with people who have criminal backgrounds; and

THE OPPORTUNITY
Operating within the Bronx criminal courthouse, Bronx Community Solutions (BCS) is a project of the Center that provides meaningful early diversion, pre-plea and post-conviction sentencing options to participants, in lieu of traditional outcomes. By participating in one of BCS' programs, participants are connected to an array of onsite staff, including social workers, case managers, and group facilitators, with the goal of addressing underlying social service needs and connecting participants to an array of community-based organizations, using the arrest as a window of opportunity to change the direction of an individual's life and avoid unnecessary incarceration.
Bronx Community Solutions (BCS) is seeking a Youth Justice Mentoring Coordinator. Reporting to the Clinical Supervisor, the Coordinator will focus on working with youth and emerging adults ages 16-24 who have been referred by stakeholders in the justice system to provide mentoring support and case management, while building positive, trusting relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of peer group dynamics and the ability to foster a positive and supportive group culture. This role is responsible for developing a sense of community through group activities, workshops, community outreach, resource building, and individualized mentoring or coaching. The Coordinator will play an integral role in facilitating various curriculums around youth engagement, leading both individual and group mentoring sessions, and implementing effective engagement strategies to promote participant compliance and growth. The successful candidate will demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and the ability to communicate program policies and expectations in a way that promotes understanding and trust among youth participants.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Apply mentoring and coaching practices to develop life skills, strengthen self-awareness, process social pressures, and promote engagement in voluntary services;
Help to bridge engagement to the rest of the ATI team by being able to identify, share and discuss multiple frameworks for understanding their participant life experiences;
Provide participants with assistance in identifying any barriers to successful completion of mandated services and developing community supports to help them overcome any barriers;
Utilize and teach problem solving and healthy decision-making techniques;
Recruit and coordinate with outside partner organizations that can provide mentor/coaching services;
Help youth and families navigate the criminal justice system as it relates to court appearances, case advocacy and program requirements;
Monitor and report on engagement to all court stakeholders, and work with stakeholders to facilitate improved mandate compliance as needed;
Assist court-based staff with the case management of longer-term cases, which may involve individuals participating in drug treatment, anger management treatment, or other long-term monitoring;
Conduct follow-up for program referral and track outcomes;
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure that the needs of the clients are met;
Participate in individual and group supervision with the Clinical Supervisor and clinic staff;
Participate in staff meetings and staff development programs where appropriate;
Provide voluntary referrals to community-based services for youth prosocial engagements as needed;
Communicate with service providers to facilitate, follow-up and assist participants with voluntary service referrals;
Complete all necessary documentation and input data into computer database; and
Additional tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a social service setting is required;
Experience working in a court or criminal justice setting strongly preferred;
Experience working with youth or emerging adult populations is strongly preferred;
Knowledge of and connection to Bronx neighborhoods preferred;
Experience working with justice-involved individuals preferred;
Experience working with clients with substance abuse and mental health diagnoses preferred;
