Job Title: Forensic Court Representative
The Forensic Court Representative on the ATI Intake Assessment Team conducts comprehensive assessments of justice-involved individuals to determine their eligibility for Alternatives to Incarceration (ATI) programs. This role involves interviewing participants, reviewing legal and clinical records, and preparing detailed reports and recommendations for court stakeholders. The representative will work closely with judges, attorneys, and other court personnel to advocate for appropriate community-based treatment plans. What You Will Be Doing:
Review preliminary information about a participant's needs, including arrest case information, criminal legal history, medical and mental health records, and attorney recommendations.
Undertake screening interviews with potential participants by explaining the process and the CASES program(s), administering a comprehensive assessment, and conduct risk assessments utilizing the HCR-20 v3 and the Short-Term Assessment of Risk and Treatability (START) adult and adolescent versions.
Conduct screening and assessment of individuals incarcerated, in the community, and at Forensic Psychiatric Centers and be able to effectively manage crises to ensure participant safety and well-being.
Develop comprehensive reports following interview and a records review to develop individualized ATI program plans, in compliance with ATI assessment requirements and quality standards, to advocate with prosecutors and judges on behalf of participants to approve ATI disposition.
Maintain excellent professional relationships with judges, district attorneys, defense counsel, probation, other court partners, and CASES community staff, to facilitate program admissions and maintain the credibility of CASES in court.
Complete all necessary intake paperwork, including entering participant information into the ECM/AWARDS databases.
Participate in clinical supervision, case review meetings, staff meetings, in service training programs, relevant quality improvement, coaching, and planning activities.
Provide culturally competent services ensuring the consideration of the role of ethnic/racial, cultural, social, economic, and behavioral factors in the accessibility, availability, and delivery of evaluation services.
Mentor less experienced colleagues in the intricacies of Court procedures, and CASES programs, especially eligibility and clinical criteria.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

What you will be doing:
Provide supervision and community-based services to a caseload of pretrial participants.
Rapidly (within 24-48 hours of release) conduct Supervision Introduction/Orientation meetings with new participants to review supervision conditions, the reporting schedule (as assigned by level of recidivism risk), and the mandatory methods of communication (face-to-face, telephone, and texts) that will be required under the participant's supervision plan.
Work collaboratively with the court and other pretrial staff team to facilitate and ensure caseload participants' successful completion of mandated supervision appointments and court appearances during the pendency of their legal case.
Review legal and court screening documentation and work with participants to analyze their offending behavior patterns, identifying behavioral changes, need for implementation of supports that may reduce likelihood of any pretrial arrests.

Link participants to treatment based on their eligibility, preferences and needs and provide escort to community services.
Ensure the timely flow of community outreach and case management activities to meet program goals and objectives.
Utilize problem solving techniques, motivational interviewing as an integral part of the pretrial supervision and case management process approach, to help motivate and engage individuals in any needed process of change.
Provide all services in a manner that is gender-responsive, trauma-informed, and that adheres to the core principles of risk-need-responsivity.
Maintain collaborative relationships with community providers (supported housing providers, Health Homes, care management programs, addiction treatment and mental health providers, peer-run providers, education, vocational. training and employment services providers, legal services providers, medical care providers, and family providers).
Follow program community-based monitoring protocols for high risk and high need program participants and request/participate in case reviews to address complex cases.
Enter assessment, supervision appointment reporting, progress note documentation into program database; conduct all electronic charting activities and reporting in accordance with confidentiality regulations and in a timely fashion.
Meet monthly case management contact and outreach goals as established by supervisory staff.
Provide culturally competent services in accordance with CASES policies and practice.

What we are looking for:
Master's degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling or comparable professional degree.
Minimum of three years' experience working in human services with individuals with substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and involvement in the criminal justice system.

We are seeking a Part-Time Resident Manager for The Doe Fund's newest permanent supportive housing for homeless individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS. The program is designed to provide long-term residential care and twenty-four-hour support services in a community environment that maximizes residents' independence while ensuring their physical and emotional security and well-being. This 255-unit residence will provide housing for 153 individuals and families referred by the New York City HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) and the remaining 102 units will be apartments for moderate-income households.
The Part-Time Resident Manager is responsible for the supervision of the residents and the overall operation of the facility during designated shifts. They will work collaboratively with the Clinical team and the Program Director to ensure that resident needs are being met as well as the safety of the facility. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills along with experience working with the HIV/AIDS population.
The part-time shifts we are looking to cover are: Saturdays and Sundays 9 am to 9 pm OR 9 pm to 9 am.
Key Responsibilities:
Function as a liaison between the residents and the staff
Collaborate with the security staff during his/her tour of duty to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents
Perform hourly patrols through the facility
Manage any challenging situations and crises that may occur at the facility
Responsible for handling any incidents that may occur at the facility and completing an Incident Report form, as needed
Communicate noteworthy events to the Program Director and the Clinical team as well as document them in the appropriate logbook
Attend all mandatory staff meetings
Ensure all aspects of the Fire Alarm System (FAS) are working properly and are up to code with FDNY
Visually inspect and document all components of the FAS

The Doe Fund is contracted by EDC to provide support services for its Clean-Up Corp Programs hiring approximately 55 full-time workers. These Clean-Up Corps Programs - Graffiti Free NYC and Clean NYC are the City's principal task forces for removing graffiti and cleaning New York streets across five boroughs and work in close coordination with City Hall and the Mayor's Office on high priority requests. Work consists of: site cleanup, beautification, area maintenance, graffiti and snow removal. Program Overview:
The Clean NYC program was announced in 2016 as a joint effort between the Mayor's Office and NYCEDC. The program brought regular power-washing capabilities and garbage collection to clean sidewalks in heavily trafficked corridors in all five boroughs, with the goal to build welcoming, vibrant communities and business districts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Building Superintendent reports directly to the Director of Facilities Maintenance and Construction and is in charge of complying with all standard operating procedures and policies connected to the maintenance of the physical plant by all City, State, and Federal laws. Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Mental Health Counselor for the Crotona Park residence which is The Doe Fund's newest permanent supportive housing program for homeless men and women living with HIV/AIDS. The majority of Crotona Park residents will be referred by the New York City HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) and some by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA).
The Case Manager/Mental Health Counselor is responsible for providing supportive case management services to the HASA-funded residents. The successful candidate will have strong clinical and communication skills along with an understanding of working with the HIV/AIDS population.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Center is seeking a dynamic and compassionate professional to join the People Department as an Employee Relations Specialist. Reporting to the Employee Relations Director, the Employee Relations Specialist will handle employee complaints, disputes, and performance matters, ensuring fair treatment and compliance with organizational policies and employment laws. The role also works in a preventative manner by providing training to managers and supervisors on topics including performance management and communication techniques, and by serving as a resource to managers and supervisors as well as to the People Department team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conduct comprehensive investigations into allegations of workplace misconduct, including but not limited to harassment, discrimination, retaliation, policy violations, and interpersonal conflict with an emphasis on care and sensitivity;
Serve as the point of intake for internal complaints or referrals involving employee behavior, leadership concerns, or violations of the organization's core policies;
Interview complainants, respondents, and witnesses; gather and analyze relevant documentation and physical/digital evidence;
Ensure all investigations are conducted promptly, fairly, and in accordance with internal protocols and applicable employment laws;
Draft clear, well-reasoned investigation summary reports with findings of fact, credibility assessments, and recommendations for resolution;
Present findings to Employee Relations leadership and, when necessary, partner with Legal, and senior management to determine appropriate next steps;

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Center for Justice Innovation is seeking a Program Associate for its Community Justice Connect Storefront site in Crown Heights. Community Justice Connect, operated by the Center for Justice Innovation, is a network of storefront centers that train community volunteers to provide free legal information, assistance, and referrals to people with civil legal problems. The program seeks to solve issues in areas like housing, public benefits, employment, family law, and immigration before they become emergencies that must be litigated in court. Currently, Community Justice Connect operates in Brooklyn, Bronx and Queens.
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Program Associate will help to oversee the volunteer recruitment, site administration, and outreach to community partners to build a strong network for reaching clients and providing services. The Program Associate must also help to create a warm and welcoming environment for volunteers and visitors to the site.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Help recruit volunteers to participate in the Community Justice Connect program at least every six months, and on as as-needed basis;
Organize volunteer schedules and staffing;
Provide assistance to the Managers as they supervise volunteers, offer information, and assist clients, including some evening and weekend hours;
Participate in Housing Justice Initiatives and Working Group meetings and activities;
Conduct outreach on an ongoing basis for new volunteers and clients;
Attend local community board meetings and events held by local elected officials;
Screen cases that are referred to attorneys for legal advice;
Coordinate with Community Justice Connect team on organizing community clinics and workshops, and establishing policy and procedures for legal referrals;
Support ongoing volunteer training and appreciation events;
Provide for data collection, recording and reporting;
Provide support to all Community Justice Connect offices as needed, including filling in and working from other sites as needed;
Support Community Justice Connect staff and volunteers in other sites as needed;
Support Community Justice Connect offices, including, but not limited to, maintaining vendor payments, office supplies, extermination services, office cleaning services, etc;
Support day-to-day operations of programs, including scheduling, relationships with community partners, project implementation, and outreach (including attending community board meetings);
Manage Social Media page for each location;
Attend community meetings, stakeholder groups, and community events;
Other relevant duties, as assigned.
Qualifications: The selected candidate will have:
A bachelor's degree and preferably 1-2 years of related experience working in at risk communities or at least 5-6 years of relevant experience required;
Knowledge of community base work;
Experience in non profit world is a plus;
Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred;
Excellent written and verbal skills are a must;
Candidate must be a skilled communicator, highly organized and detail-oriented, and able to work in a multi-disciplinary setting and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders and organizations onsite, in the community and nationally;

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Center is seeking an experienced Contracts Coordinator to join our Contracts Operations Team to support the administration and oversight of the Center's end-to-end contracting process. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Contracts Coordinator will assist with managing the revenue contracting process to ensure the timely execution, ongoing review, and reporting of all the Center's revenue generating grants and contracts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Project Management and Communication:

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in the field of finance, business management, or non-profit administration to apply. Brooklyn Justice Initiatives offers people an opportunity to change the direction of their lives. The program transforms how people navigate the legal process of criminal court in Brooklyn, NY, and helps them avoid the harmful effects of incarceration. It provides meaningful early diversion, supervised release for people awaiting trial, and alternative sentencing options.
Brooklyn Justice Initiatives is seeking a Social Worker to join its interdisciplinary team. Reporting to the Director of Diversion Services and Clinical Supervision, the Social Worker will conduct clinical assessments, provide brief interventions, and offer stabilization supports to participants engaged through same-day programming, early diversion, and Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) pathways, as well as other court-based programs operated by Brooklyn Justice Initiatives. This includes engagement with young adult and adult participants at various stages of court involvement, including both pre- and post-plea opportunities for individuals charged with misdemeanors or felonies.
The Social Worker will play a key role in engaging participants at early points of court involvement, connecting them with individualized, trauma-informed services, and fostering outcomes that promote healing, stability, and reduced future system contact. Responsibilities include conducting intakes and assessments; providing comprehensive case management; offering individual counseling and facilitating psychoeducational or therapeutic groups; and supporting participants across same-day, early diversion, and ATI programming. The Social Worker will monitor participant engagement, send court date reminders, promote compliance with court conditions when applicable, submit progress and compliance updates to the court, and provide voluntary referrals and ongoing support beyond the initial mandate when appropriate.
This position requires strong clinical judgment, flexibility in a fast-paced court environment, and the ability to build effective partnerships with legal system stakeholders and community-based providers. The Social Worker will collaborate with judges, attorneys, court personnel, and community partners to ensure coordinated and culturally responsive service delivery across programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Clinical Engagement, Case Management, and Participant Support:
Conduct intakes, psychosocial and clinical assessments, and needs evaluations for eligible participants at or immediately following court appearances, including those entering same-day, early diversion, or ATI engagements;

Escort and support participants navigating court, program offices, and community-based providers to reduce barriers to participation and ensure continuity of care.
Court Operations and Stakeholder Engagement:
Conduct participant outreach and engagement in court and post-appearance to support compliance and ongoing participation;
Coordinate with defense counsel, prosecutors, judges, court personnel, and community partners to ensure holistic and culturally responsive service delivery throughout the participant's engagement;
Provide timely completion updates, progress reports, and recommendations (verbal and written) to court stakeholders; and
Participate in case conferences and team coverage planning to align interventions with court calendars, hearing schedules, and participant flow.
Collaboration, Community Partnerships, and Service Coordination:
Make referrals and establish linkages with community-based organizations to support participant goals, including referrals that meet immediate needs and those that support ongoing stability;
Conduct outreach to collateral contacts (e.g., providers, family, community partners) to promote engagement and compliance throughout the participant journey; and
Support community partnership development and community-based outreach and engagement events.
Data, Documentation, and Reporting:
Maintain timely, accurate case notes and records in the case management system, documenting participant engagement across same-day, early diversion, and ATI tracks;
Track participant progress, service engagement, and referral outcomes to inform program evaluation and continuous improvement; and
Assist with data collection and reporting that demonstrates program impact and supports data-informed practice.
Program and Team Support:
Participate in supervision, team meetings, interdisciplinary case reviews, and professional development;
Contribute to the development and implementation of new programs, interventions, and initiatives under the guidance of program leadership and management;

CASES is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the Young Adult Assertive Community Treatment (YA ACT) team. This is a multi-disciplinary team that provides evidence-based, mobile, community-based mental health treatment to promote the recovery and community integration of individuals age 18 to 25 with serious mental illnesses, high rates of co-occurring substance use disorders and high utilization of emergency/crisis services. What You Will Be Doing:
Manage the clinical, administrative, and technical supervision of a multidisciplinary team.
Collaborate with the court-based Clinical Supervisor responsible for centralized screening and assessment operations for program intakes to ensure participants receive intensive services after program intake and are fully engaged following the transition from jail to community.
Effectively use the Short-Term Assessment of Risk and Treatability (START) assessment to develop and initiate participant's individualized program and supervision plan, based on the assessment of risk, and needs and attentive to strengths and assets.
Ensure staff engagement and compliance with START, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Interactive Journaling (IJ), and Comprehensive Clinical Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (CCDBT) training institutes to achieve proficiency standards.
Ensure the team provides excellent evidence-based services in the office, courthouses, and in the community.
Facilitate collaborating effectively with the Nathaniel Clinic main and other non-CASES sites, for the delivery of jointly coordinated treatment services.
Oversee effective violence risk management in the treatment services delivered by the team to reduce participant risk for violence.
Manage the progress reporting of participants' status in the ATI program, overseeing court reporting for participants' court monitoring appearances.
Develop and maintain relationships with criminal legal stakeholders (judges, defense bar, and prosecutors, etc.) and provide effective, timely, and accurate communication about services delivered to participants.
Lead staff organizational meetings to regularly review participant progress using a team-based approach along with clinical staff meetings for comprehensive service planning, staff training, and supervision.
Participate in regularly scheduled management meetings with other NCS Team Leaders.
Promote staff safety in the delivery of community-based treatment, ensuring staff are trained in community safety and routinely follow the safety plan.
Coordinate and participate in the on-call schedule and provide consultation for team members during "after hours" emergency coverage.
Lead the coordination of care with contracted subcontractors, including housing, education, and vocational and employment providers.
Participate in quarterly reporting, quality assurance, program fidelity, and continuous quality improvement activities with the NCS Director and the Director of ATI Implementation and Fidelity to analyze program services, trends, and outcomes; specific to the results of these analyses, implement corrective action/process improvement plans.
Utilize and value participant and family member/significant other input to inform, revise, and shape program operations.
Help ensure we maintain a safe working environment by reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions, e.g., liquid spill in hallway, to the appropriate facilities staff member or supervisor.
Other duties as required by the Director and Senior Director.
What We Are Looking For:
LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, PsyD or PhD, PsyD, or PhD with forensic training preferred OR a relevant degree and experience.
2+ years of leadership experience in mental health and/or criminal justice with a verifiable record of accomplishment in managing multiple programs.
2+ years of experience with comprehensive mental health treatment.
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
Highly developed management, analytical, and motivational skills.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Center's Family Court Programs team is seeking a Temporary Clinical Coordinator for the Families First Court Initiative in Dutchess County. The Families First Court Initiative is a multi-disciplinary court-based project designed to improve the way Family Court responds to the unique needs of adolescents, aged 12-18, and their families by increasing collaboration and communication, promoting strong and resilient families through trauma-responsive practices, and reducing the use of, or time spent, in congregate care settings.
Reporting to the Director of Policy and Youth Initiatives, the Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating a multi-disciplinary court team, convening clinical conferences, conducting assessments of children and families, supporting and working with adolescents and their parents/caregivers by ensuring access to high-quality relational services, and collaborating with the Court to inform the decision-making process.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Complete comprehensive assessments, including clinical and developmental screenings of subject children;
Provide comprehensive screenings and psycho-social assessments of caregiver and family needs;
Provide on-going assessment of parent-child relationship; capacity, strengths, and areas in need of support;
Develop family-specific service plans in collaboration with case planning agency, including evidence-based children/youth, adult and family interventions;
Facilitate referrals to high-quality services based on assessments in collaboration with the Department of Children and Families Services and/or foster care agency, probation and other systems;
Track and monitor referral status, client progress, and barriers to treatment;
Coordinate and provide leadership of monthly Adolescent/Family focused Clinical Conferences and provide adolescent focused feedback to Court Team to ensure that child/youth's needs are expressed and being met and to problem solve any barriers that are identified;
Prepare monthly reports for the Judge and Court Team based on on-going assessment and outcomes of monthly Clinical Conferences;
Provide adolescent development/disruptive behavior expertise in the context of trauma and attachment disruptions to the Judge and Court Team by way of formal trainings and day-to-day consultation;
Attend all Court Conferences and multi-disciplinary meetings with DCFS/Foster Care Agency, Probation, and Community Partners;
Engage community-based service providers and government systems serving youth and families with on-going outreach in order to form meaningful relationships, collaborate and support family's treatment, and include community resources in the Court process so they can in turn support families with a higher knowledge of court practices and expectations;
Participate in quarterly meetings of the Family Court Steering Committees;
Assist with data collection and participate in program evaluation and quality improvement;
Participate in, and assist with providing training in adolescent development and adolescent mental health to the wider Court community and a variety of youth justice system stakeholder groups; and
Additional relevant responsibilities, as needed.
Qualifications:
Master's degree (or higher) in social work, psychology, child development, or related field and a minimum of five years' experience working with children/youth and families, with a strong background in adolescent mental health including evidence-based interventions such as Multisystemic Therapy or other Family Therapy, Parent-Child dyadic therapy, CBT/TFCBT, EMDR, school-based and community-based interventions, attachment theory and research;
Background in trauma and trauma-informed interventions;
Knowledge of local youth/family-serving systems and organizations;
Ability to work collaboratively with, and provide leadership to, a multidisciplinary practitioner group;
Ability to engage and support court-involved parents;
Knowledge of screening assessment tools for children, youth and caregivers;
Knowledge of issues related to child abuse/neglect;
Knowledge of systems that interface with court-involved families and how to navigate these systems;
Excellent written skills are a must;
Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred;
Knowledge of Family Court, DCFS and/or probation practice in Dutchess County; and
Experience with systems change and community building.
Position Type: Temporary part-time, working 15-20 hours per week for 3-5 months.
Position Location: Dutchess County Family Court.
Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $40.77 - $48.12 per hour, annually equivalent to $74,200 - $87,600 based on a 35-hour work week and is commensurate with experience.
