Job Description A Warehouse is responsible for shipping, receiving, issuing, storing, and securing supplies and transporting equipment/products to and from various locations and venues. This is an ON-CALL, FULL TIME union position, and all individuals in this role are represented by UNITE HERE! Local 19 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: •Receive product orders and ensure product quantity is correct (according to purchase order and invoice)and quality is to standard. Contact vendor with any discrepancies. •Store all product and equipment in designated areas •Use “Pull Sheet” to collect all requested food & beverage supplies for event and distribute supplies to venues. •Assist in transporting maintenance items as needed. •Retrieve unused food & beverage supplies and return to warehouse. Restock warehouse supplies at various venues. •Assist in inventory counts. •Maintain the security of the warehouse and product. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: •Able to speak, read and write in the English language effectively. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. •Scheduling flexibility is essential, willing to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. •California Food Handler Card preferred •Knowledge and experience working with MS Office including but not limited to word, excel, and outlook email. •Knowledge of ordering procedures (vendors, product, timeframes) •Must be able to work in a high stress environment. •Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in weight •Ability to move heavy equipment up to 200 pounds in weight •Ability and knowledge to properly use forklifts, electric carts, push carts, two-way radios, pallet jacks and other equipment necessary to perform job duties. Essential duties and responsibilities This person extracts orders, stores, stores and distributes inventory within the distribution center and loads trucks for next day delivery. Collect the product (individual boxes and bottles) from shelves and shelves to meet order requirements. It operates forklift, order picker and hand truck to transport products. Loading and unloading the inventory of trucks by hand, forklifts and/or manual trucks. Follow the procedures established in the entry and exit of equipment. Performs all compliance functions accurately and efficiently. Maintains the assigned workspace in a clean and acceptable manner. Re-warehouse broken inventory according to proper procedures. Order the remaining saleable inventory and return the products to the product locations. Re-store loose bottles, asking a supervisor to assign a bottle location if necessary. Replenish and clean the designated area during the shift, ensuring that all pallets and trash are stored properly. Job Duties / Essential Job Functions: Unloading deliveries:Receiving and unloading incoming shipments from trucks or delivery services. Verifying shipments:Checking packing slips and purchase orders against received items to ensure accuracy in quantity and quality. Inspecting items:Examining received goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies. Data entry:Recording details of received shipments into inventory management systems, including item descriptions, quantities, and dates. Stock storage:Properly storing received items in designated warehouse locations. Addressing issues:Reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods to the appropriate personnel. Paperwork processing:Completing receiving documents, including signing delivery receipts and processing invoices. Inventory management:Maintaining accurate inventory records and reporting on stock levels. Coordinating with Suppliers:Communicate with vendors regarding shipping schedules and discrepancies to resolve issues promptly. Organizing Storage:Manage the organization of received items in the warehouse or storage area, optimizing space and accessibility. Performing Quality Control:Ensure that received goods meet quality specifications and report any issues to management. Assisting with Inventory Audits:Support periodic inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy and availability. Safety compliance:Adhering to warehouse safety procedures and operating material handling equipment safely. Minimum Requirements: Ability to carefully inspect items and identify errors in shipments. Math skills to perform accurate counting and calculation of quantities. Ability to keep track of incoming shipments and maintain a well-organized warehouse. Familiarity with inventory management systems and data entry. Effective communication with suppliers, warehouse staff, and other departments regarding deliveries. Well-organized, able to multitask but also attentive to detail Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes and similar equipment Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of related experience required CA Drivers License Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Full-time position. Monday - Friday no weekends. Shift time 1:00 p.m. to close. Offload and load transport trucks with product using a forklift. Maintain general warehouse operations as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED required. Able to lift/move 50 lbs on occasion.
