The Chemours Corpus Christi facility located in Ingleside, Texas has an opening for an experienced Electrical and Instrument Technician position available. This position will report to a Maintenance First Line Supervisor.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Completes Lock, Tag, and Try (LTT) procedure on machines to assure equipment is inoperable and safe to work on. Inspects, repairs and/or replaces items such as control valves, controllers, transmitters, motors, etc.
* Handles equipment rated below 600V
* Understands power distribution systems and troubleshoot electronic instrumentation problems
* Performs repair and maintenance of electrical and instrument equipment.
* Troubleshoots, removes from service, and calibrates or changes operating ranges of: transmitters, analyzers, controllers, interlocks, transformers.
* Some E& I technicians will be utilized to maintain and configure DCS controls and logic.
* Understands the proper use of each test instrument to avoid damage to the equipment Performs work using the following knowledge, systems, and tools:
* Instrument Fundamentals
* Level Measurement Devices
* Temperature Measurement Devices
* Pressure Measurement Devices
* PH/Conductive Meters and Sensors
* Service Lighting Systems
* Transducers
* Performs general maintenance activities which will be assigned as business needs necessitate to include but not limited to equipment flange and bolt work, routine inspections, housekeeping, etc.
Normal working hours are 6a - 4:30p Monday through Thursday. Off shift work and overtime is sometimes required to meet business needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
In order to be qualified for this role, you are required to have the following:
* Two years of college (any technical major) or Four years industrial experience (E&I experience is required)
* Successful completion of a pre-employment aptitude test
* Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, Internet, E-mail)
* Ability to climb ladders and stairs
* Ability to single-lift 30lbs
* Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
* Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (including respirator, hearing protection, fall protection harness, acid suit)
* Willing and able to work overtime as needed

The Chemours Company is seeking a Safety, Emergency Response & Security Specialist to provide support and compliance management for the Corpus Christi Plant in Ingleside, TX. This position will report to the site Environmental, Health & Safety Manager.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Create and maintain Safety, Emergency Response & Security management systems to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, site permits and corporate standards
* Develop and implement programs focused on reducing Safety, Emergency Response & Security impacts
* Provide support and leadership during audits of the site by state and federal regulatory agencies
* Primary interface with regulatory agencies, preparing required documentation, scheduling and providing additional follow-up documentation as required

* Serve as the site's emergency response coordinator. This includes scheduling the site's response team's training with 3rd Party (Fire, Rescue, HazMat and NIMS). Create drill scenarios, maintaining the response documentation, assuring all drills are completed per schedule.
* Maintain EHS files and recordkeeping for proper documentation.
* Resource to provide functional guidance for contracted personnel maintaining the site's Safety Equipment - fire extinguishers, oxygen meters, respirators, ELSA packs, Gastec meters, etc.
The following is required for this role:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 5+ years of chemical or related industry experience and knowledge
* Strong problem solving and strategic analysis skills. Able to conduct complex analysis
* Ability to manage multiple project tasks and quickly initiate changes in plan when appropriate

This role will serve as a Plant Support Engineer for one or more areas of the assets at this facility. The individual will provide overall Mechanical Engineering guidance and support for the Operations, Maintenance, and Technology Teams for their area(s). This role will entail involvement in day-to-day troubleshooting in the plant, as well as support for improvement programs in the areas of Safety (PSM), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reliability, cost, and new capital installations.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Provide mechanical expertise for troubleshooting, maintaining, and modifying operating equipment and facilities.
* Provide technical troubleshooting and training for the operating and maintenance teams.
* Provide Mechanical expertise for project work to ensure its compliance with specifications, engineering standards and quality assurance.
* Lead PSM criticality assessment process to ensure adequate rationale is provided to develop and manage the MIQA effort, including critical spare parts, SAP data, inspection plans and frequencies, and maintenance procedures.
* Analyze equipment trends, historical data, and uptime data to recommend and justify improvements to obtain lowest life cycle cost on different classes of equipment.
* Leads and participates in Safety, Reliability and Quality Investigations
* Participate in maintenance and reliability networks and share best practices, successes, and failures.
* Perform failure mode and effect analyses to develop appropriate equipment maintenance plans to include equipment checks and predictive preventative maintenance (PPM) performed by operators and mechanics.
* Provides support for both cost and capital projects, including scope development, justification, and coordinating installation of new/modified facilities
* Maintain personal level of technical expertise in key technologies via training, seminars, and professional organizations
* Provide shift/weekend coverage for start-ups, tests, maintenance turnarounds, or other non-routine needs.

The following is required for this role:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or strongly related degree from an ABET accredited university.
* 11+ years of related industrial / manufacturing work experience in Fixed Equipment (will consider degree relevant intern / co-op experience counting toward this requirement).
* Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical engineering fixed equipment principles in relation to the chemical process industry
* Strong background in the following:
* Maintenance and reliability best practices including the work management process and basic materials science including material selection and properties.
* Knowledge in related fields such as non-destructive testing, welding, fabrication, working with third party fabricators.
* Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME Piping Codes and API Codes, welding and fabrication processes and repair procedures.
* Root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), data analysis techniques and statistical interpretation skills, failure analysis including preservation of evidence techniques, engineering design standards and their application, Cost/Capital analysis and justification.
* Demonstrated skill to diagnose and solve technical problems - making data-based decisions.
* Strong ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong customer focus and ability to conceptualize customer needs based on customer input. Proven ability to effectively communicate through all levels of an organization.
* High degree of initiative and flexibility to move projects forward safely and in a timely manner.
