Job Summary

The Role: Digital Hardware Design Engineer
We're looking for a Digital Hardware Design Engineer who's eager to work on advanced wireless communication systems and high-speed digital hardware. You'll be part of a team pushing boundaries in RF, digital modulation, and next-generation broadcast tech.
What you'll be doing Designing high-speed digital hardware for data-acquisition and RF-related systems
Working on products that span everything from Long Wave all the way through S-Band
Developing digital modulators with adaptive pre-correction and crest factor reduction on FPGA platforms
Using VHDL to design and verify FPGA implementations (primarily Xilinx)
Working with digital RF waveforms and modulation schemes like COFDM, QAM, QPSK, and 8VSB
What We're Looking ForBS in ElectricalEngineering or similar
3-5 years of design experience (5-10 years in digital wireless communication preferred)
Experience working in R&D within tech-focused companies
3 years working with RF and digital communication systems
Strong understanding of communication and signal-processing theory (4+ years demonstrated)
Proven digital hardware design skills, including schematic capture and high-speed board design
5+ years using Altium and/or Mentor Graphics PADS for schematic and PWB design

Who We're Looking For:
2+ years of experience designing industrial control systems, preferably for custom machinery or automation systems
Proficient in EPLAN (preferred) and/or AutoCAD Electrical for control panel and schematic design
Experience designing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other power delivery systems
Familiar with UL, NFPA79, or IEC standards for industrial control panels
Comfortable collaborating with mechanical and software teams during the machine design lifecycle
Experience with machine wiring, hardware selection, and bills of material is a plus
Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and VFDs is helpful but not required
Preferred (but not required):
Technical degree in ElectricalEngineering, Mechatronics, or similar
Experience supporting machine builds or troubleshooting wiring in the field
Exposure to machine safety design, lockout/tagout systems, or risk assessments
Job Duties:
Design control panels, schematics, and system layouts using EPLAN (preferred) and/or AutoCAD Electrical
Create electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams to support custom machine builds
Select components including fuses, breakers, relays, valves, and sensors based on application and standards
Collaborate with mechanical and controls engineers to ensure seamless system integration
Provide support during machine builds, wiring checks, and commissioning
Maintain up-to-date documentation and BOMs throughout the project lifecycle
