The project opened for pre-construction marketing in 1982 and last year reported sales of $100 million, which Boca Pointe said makes it the top- selling country club community in Florida.
In 1985 owners sued Terraces over faulty construction complaints and discrepancies in condo-association accounts, then found Terraces had pulled out of the La Paz project.
The partnership pulled out in August 1986 with six homes under construction and outstanding loans of more than $7 million.
