Position Related Job Duties
Conduct rigorous quality testing on syrups, packaged products, raw materials, and water systems to ensure full compliance with The Coca-Cola Company's quality standards.
Perform analyses using wet chemistry techniques and advanced laboratory instrumentation, including pH meters, titrators, density meters, UV/VIS spectrophotometers, HPLCs, and ColorQuest systems.
Document, interpret, and report test results to support production decisions and maintain product integrity.
Monitor and verify incoming raw materials meet company specifications before use in manufacturing.
Maintain GMP and safety requirements; calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and facilitate continuous improvement.

The Lab Technician position functions as essential support for the analytical needs of Heritage-Crystal Clean by assuming responsibility for all aspects of laboratory analysis, documentation, review, and reporting, along with all applicable QC testing and documentation.
The Lab Technician position relies on instruction and pre-established procedures and works under immediate supervision. The Lab Technician position is staffed 24/7/365 and works 12hr rotating shifts.
Essential Duties:

Qualifications
Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Must have excellent organizational skills, be able to prioritize and manage tasks in a timely and effective manner
Must be willing to adapt to a flexible schedule and work environment
Education
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Completion of a Phlebotomy Technician training program.
Must have 1-year phlebotomy experience in clinical laboratory setting.
Must have basic computer skills.
Working Conditions
This position is in the clinical laboratory of a busy outpatient oncology/hematology clinic. This person will be required to work closely with coworkers and management daily. This position requires that the employee handle body fluids and chemicals daily.
Physical Requirements
This position requires that the employee be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to eight hours a day. This position also requires that the employee be able to perform mild physical labor to complete the tasks at hand including pushing patients in wheel chairs and assisting patients up and down from seating.

Assist with the compounding of non-sterile and sterile pharmaceutical preparations including but not limited to oral liquids, pastes, and injections under the supervision of the managing pharmacist. Please note: Hormones and other potentially hazardous chemicals are used in non-sterile compounding
Consistently meet standards of accuracy and potency
Package and label prescriptions, including bulk medications
Monitor inventory levels, re-order low inventory or expiring chemicals, and receive new inventory
Maintain accurate records including SDS and Certificates of Analysis
Perform environmental monitoring and perform cleaning tasks per defined schedule and techniques
Quickly and efficiently solve problems and jump in to help the team where necessary
About You:
You are registered with TX Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician.
You have at least 2 years of experience working as a pharmacy technician directly with pharmacists in a compounding pharmacy
You have experience working in veterinary care or the medical field, or a strong interest in working in the field
You have a strong attention to detail
You have a customer-focused (and in our case, a pet-focused!) mindset
You thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Must be able to move boxes holding medications weighing up to 25lbs across the office
You have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - and are a collaborative, team-player
You have an all-hands-on-deck attitude with an ability to remain calm and excel under pressure
You have the ability to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures
