Job Overview
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for the direct management and leadership for an assigned sales Market. The ASM is responsible for leading the direction, execution, and proper reporting of outcomes to the appropriate levels of management to ensure expected revenue goals are met. The ASM also ensures the delivery of a business plan by leading the Sales and Delivery organization to identify opportunities, establish goals and objectives to deliver business plan and goals; balance stakeholders; manage business changes; ensure new program benefits are obtained; monitor key performance metrics, and managing resources efficiently.

The Merchandiser is responsible for presenting products in a way that will attract the attention of consumers at our customer retail locations. This position services and maintains multiple Convenience Retail, Drug and Value accounts by merchandising approved products and packages using safe handling techniques and following all quality guidelines. Job Overview
The Checker is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all customer orders leaving the warehouse by inspecting and verifying all completed orders, documenting any discovered discrepancies, and ensuring any discovered discrepancies are corrected on the order prior to loading for delivery. This position will also review and inspect the accuracy of all route delivery trucks upon return to the warehouse, document any discovered discrepancies, and make all needed changes prior to finalizing the route truck check-in process.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Verifies the accuracy of Customer Orders by inspecting built pallets to ensure they are adequately built, stabilized, and secure for transportation to the Customer and reviewing Pick Tickets to ensure the Product Type and Quantity are correct. This includes communicating with warehouse teammates when mistakes are discovered so the needed correction can be made to the specific pallet.
* Inspects returning Route Deliver Trucks to determine if they are in the proper condition for the Check-In Process and performs Blind Counts of all returning Route Delivery Trucks to compare counts to the reported quantities of the returning Route Delivery Trucks. This includes communicating with Route Delivery Drivers of issues discovered and makes the needed changes to the final Load-In prior to finalizing the Check-in Process.
* Documents any discrepancies, changes, additions, subtractions, required to a Customer Order, (Miss-Picks, Pallet Types, Additional Pallets, Out-of-Stocks, etc.), on the proper Reports (Load Bay Diagrams/Pick Tickets), and provides information to the appropriate personnel.
* Accounts for all returned Product and Deposit Items on the Route Delivery Trucks and ensures information is classified correctly, including but not limited to Out-of-Date, Damaged, Good Items, and Pallets.
* Maintains cleanliness and safety of work area and warehouse, performs other tasks including pallet building as determined and requested by management.

Job Overview
The Route Specialist will cover the routes of teammates when they are away and maintain their established routes, including orders, delivery, and, or unloading our products at customer locations on designated routes, in a courteous, professional, compliant, safe, and timely manner. This fast-paced role is also responsible for stocking and facing products on displays and shelves, in coolers and cold vaults while ensuring that appropriate rotation standards are maintained. The Route Specialist may be asked to train new route sales teammates and to assist the Supervisor, as time permits; handle urgent customer needs to satisfy commitments made to customers, and serve as an ambassador of our company and the world's most recognized brands.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Cover vacation routes competently to maintain established route standards and sales to prevent missing important opportunities, ensure a high level of customer service is maintained
* Order, fill, merchandise, and rotate products on shelves, displays, cold vaults, and cooler equipment, according to company standards
* Specified activities per route discipline (bulk, conventional, full service, and cold bottle)
* Assist the Supervisor in training new route sales teammates and assist supervisors as time permits, focusing on safety, efficiency, and customer service.
* Handle urgent customer needs to meet commitments made to customers in a timely, consistent, and professional manner, through partnering with the sales, delivery, and customer management teams
* Assist supervisor with projects, tasks across the territory, and other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
* Able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis
* Past job performance must reflect dependability, initiative, professional demeanor, and the ability to exercise sound judgment
* Ability to work in a fast-paced continuous lifting environment
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. of product repetitively
* Availability to work some weekends and some holidays
* Previous route delivery, direct store delivery, stocking, merchandising products, or retail management experience is strongly preferred
* Excellent safety record
* Must have the ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck, etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
* Ability to read, speak, write and understand English to perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
* Route Specialist typically is a senior role capable of covering any route discipline.

* Valid driver's license for your state of residency with an excellent driving history reflected on a 7-year Motor Vehicle Report

The Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist is critical support to the POD Model in the One Tier Sales Strategy in a flexible, 24/7 operation. The need for this role is heightened by the Future of Operations move of Dollar General and some independent groceries from Small Store to the Large Store channel. The Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist will provide vacation coverage to the Bulk Account Merchandiser and Merchandiser, may be the first call point for late PM/early AM weekends ensuring proper route coverage, and acting as liaison between the customer, merchandiser and driver for order refusals, and inventory overload. The BAM Specialist may execute weekend operational plans with minimal and additional influence on changes to the strategy. The BAM Specialist will keep the DSM apprised as appropriate.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Fills, merchandise, and rotates products on display and the shelf according to procedures and special programs. Provides vacation coverage to the Bulk Account Merchandiser and POD Merchandiser.
* Manages, sells, and executes in an assigned group of customers on daily, pre-set routes and generates sales orders based on the assigned delivery frequency for each customer to ensure the day-to-day success of the operation and directly contribute to the financial performance of the company in terms of revenue, volume, and gross profit.
* Executes applicable promotions and new products based on target lists, monthly Look of Success (LOS) initiatives, marketing promotions, Point-Of-Sale, and commercial plans to ensure excellence in RED (Right Execution Daily) scores for assigned customers.
* Organizes and maintains back room by stacking and arranging product by package and flavor, arranging the return of empty pallets and shells, damaged and out of date product to the branch.
* Creates and distributes point-of-sale materials on display and shelves where permitted. Rotates product. Fills and merchandises Fastlane merchandisers and vendors; checks vendor to ensure proper operation.
* Fosters business relationship with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and upcoming activities discussion.
* Identifies and communicates any competitive issues or market activities that could impact the business (i.e., pricing, new packaging, change in business strategy, etc.) and executes all job duties in a safe working manner.

Required Qualifications
Experience
