Learn to Be provides a flexible, remote opportunity to interested Federal Work Study college students to serve as a virtual tutor . As a tutor with LTB , you will make your own schedule and pick which grade levels and subjects you wish to tutor. You can tutor as many or as few grade levels or subjects as you feel comfortable with. This position is open to all majors and you do not need to have tutoring or teaching experience!
Responsibilities
Tutors work directly with our Learn To Be, Program Team to connect with students. Tutors communicate student preferences, grade, subject and availability. LTB staff will assign and connect tutors to students, based on tutor preferences. Once connected, tutors communicate directly with your student/family to determine the best schedule for lessons. Establish the best way to stay in touch and communicate with them regularly. Commit to tutoring 1-2x per week (or more!) for at least a semester. Support your student/s through homework help, test prep, and engaging lesson plans. Act as a mentor, not just a tutor.

The selected applicant will support post-award research and sponsored programs activities for a range of disciplines. This includes the management of sponsored projects accounts from setup of the account through award close-out. The position monitors financial activity on accounts, making decisions on allowability, allocability, reasonableness, and consistency. The Administrator is responsible for financial oversight of project activities to ensure compliance with sponsor and university policies and federal, state, and local government regulations. Responsibilities
Review and authorize or deny expenditures on accounts. Assist faculty with preparation of post award requests to sponsors. Discuss expenditure or other post award issues with sponsors. Assist with solving post award issues in all financial areas (Payroll, Purchasing, general Accounting). Review and verification of drawdowns and invoices. Prepare/review and/or submit financial reports. Assist with collection or analysis of financial data as required, including audit requests, and special report requests. Review award packages with Director of Post-Award Administration to ensure correct establishment of account in system. Authorize and/or process updates to account budget as required. Assist with collection efforts upon request from Financial Services Manage cost sharing documentation provided by units, as well as subrecipient monitoring activities. Review effort allocation and payroll requests; provide guidance to units when required Other special reports or job duties as periodically assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree and two years of related experience or any equivalent combination. Must be familiar with 2 CFR 200 “Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards.” Experience in management of externally funded programs in a university environment or similar complex research setting. Demonstrated knowledge of federal regulations and the legal and regulatory environment governing research administration in the conduct of academic research, grants and contracts. Interaction with federal agencies, industries, and other nonprofits. Skill to operate a computer in a networked environment, including working knowledge of computer programs. Excellent computer skills in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation applications, preferably Microsoft Office Suite software and Adobe Professional. Technical skills to learn and use enterprise systems and other job-related software. Experience working in a team oriented environment with ability to take initiative and work independently. Proven ability to meet deadlines and produce high quality products. Thorough knowledge of pre- and post-award grants administration. MSU Denver periodically has temporary employment opportunities for qualified academic advisors. Temporary employees are assigned to campus departments to fill in while positions are vacant, to cover for employees who are temporarily out, or to hire as an additional temporary advisor if funds are available. Position Summary
Temporary academic advisors at MSU Denver are primarily responsible for advising students on degree requirements and providing long-term degree planning. Temporary academic advisors help students develop educational goals and define a career path through use of a variety of advising approaches and tools. Temporary academic advisors may also participate in university-wide and unit-specific advising initiatives as needed.
Responsibilities
Provide advising services to a diverse student body (85%)
Conduct advising sessions with students and assist with course selection, scheduling and registration questions using advising-based technology
Utilize knowledge of curriculum to help students with degree planning
Prepare and maintain advising documentation in the current student success/customer management system
Refer students to appropriate University resources
Provide basic information related to career planning, financial literacy, admissions and other applicable information related to student needs
Teach students about electronic advising and registration tools and how to best utilize them for success (e.g., Degree Progress Reports, Student Hub, Navigate360, etc.)
Participate in New Student Orientation sessions and Registration events
Monitor progress and retention of assigned students (5%)
Participate in retention initiatives as appropriate
Professional development (5%)
Participate in university-wide and unit specific advising professional development opportunities (e.g. Advising retreats, NACADA webinars, conferences, etc.)
Other duties as assigned (5%)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
At least one year of experience providing academic advising to undergraduate students
Demonstrated experience in a professional setting helping others reach their academic, professional, and/or personal goals
Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to a diverse community (students, faculty, staff, alumni and parents)
Demonstrated problem-solving, prioritizing, and preparation skills
Preferred Qualifications

Salary for Announcement
The hourly rate for this position ranges from the current Denver minimum wage - $24 an hour. Hourly pay rate varies with position based upon experience, qualifications, and available budget.

The full-time Component Manager is primarily responsible for day-to-day management of the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Agency Semi-Conductor Technical Hub project titled "Semiconductor Talent and Employer Partnership in Upstate (STEP UP) New York." The position works in collaboration with other members of the MCC STEP UP team, including the STEP UP Budget Coordinator, the STEP UP Data and Compliance Coordinator, and the part-time Curriculum Manager. Specifically, the position responsibilities are dedicated to grant-funded administrative work related to developing the semi-conductor ecosystem across upstate NY and ensuring the work of the associated sub-awards is making progress.
The Component manages reports to the STEP UP Project Director (VP of Workforce and Economic Development) and the director of Strategic Resource Development and Grants Management.
This position is funded by a multi-year, Federal grant through 09/30/2029; as such MCC deems this position as temporary in nature. Annual re-appointment is subject to employee performance and continued grant funding.

This lab assistant is an hourly position appointed on a semester by semester basis and assigned to help faculty with the following responsibilities as determined by the instructor(s): Examples of Duties & Responsibilities: * Equipment Maintenance
* Student instruction in the use of imaging and processing equipment
* C-arm instruction and lab assistance
* Assists faculty in imaging procedures practice and competency labs, and imaging production labs
* Attendance (Daily)
* Maintains records and statistics as assigned
* Reviews student assignments as assigned by faculty
* Remediation for procedures competencies and image analyses
* Maintains a computerized running inventory of lab supplies and equipment
* Replenishes lab supplies as needed
* Requests quotes for supplies and equipment as needed
* Informs RSO and faculty of safety and equipment issues or needs
* Participates in department/division/college meetings as requested
* Miscellaneous as per instructor
The clinical assistant will not be responsible for any academic advising.

Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
* Valid NYS RT License
* ARRT Certified in radiologic technology
* Associate degree from accredited radiologic technology program
* Demonstrates high academic and clinical ability
* One year experience working as a radiologic technologist in a medical imaging department
* Knowledge and ability to work with computer software for imaging and education
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in operating room and fluoroscopic imaging
* Knowledge of sectional anatomy and CT or Interventional radiography
* Experience working with students in an academic setting or as a clinical instructor
* Demonstrates high academic and clinical ability
* Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently
Additional Information:
Salary: Salary is determined based on experience, internal equity and college budget. This position has a range of $40 to $50 per hour and is based on these mentioned factors.
There will be an orientation scheduled prior to the start of the lab assistant program to outline roles and responsibilities. Assignments will begin the first day of classes. The position will be for one academic semester. Each lab assistant will be reviewed upon completion of the Fall semester and notified if they will be assigned in the Spring semester. If at any time a lab assistant's work is hindering student success, the lab assistant will meet with both the clinical faculty and department chair to determine if the lab assistant should continue in the position. Lab assistants are expected to adhere to all college policies and trainings as well as program policies and procedures.
