1915 – Westchester Commercial School was founded in New Rochelle.
Westchester Community College was founded in 1946 as the New York State Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in White Plains.
The college, which opened in 1946 in order to train and educate veterans, welcomes those who have served our country.
1959 – Expanded and moved to 16 Bank Street, White Plains.
1973 – Accredited and firmly established as The Westchester Business Institute (WBI).
2005 – The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation (CWCF) was established, providing grant and scholarship opportunities.
