About the role We are actively recruiting a Senior Product Data Scientist to help revolutionize the way people own and collect. At Courtyard.io, you'll play a key role in leveraging data to improve user retention, optimize marketplace efficiency, and drive product strategy. This role requires expertise in SQL, a deep understanding of user behavior analytics, and the ability to think strategically about both peer-to-peer and centralized marketplace models. You'll own core parts of our data infrastructure and work directly with the CEO and heads of engineering, marketing and finance to shape our products, business decisions and roadmap. What You'll Do Analyze customer behavior to uncover insights that drive engagement, retention, and lifetime value. Profile users to understand how they interact with Courtyard and develop user segmentations Develop guiding metrics and KPIs for the product team to evaluate success Partner with product teams to develop features that improve conversion and user retention. Design and analyze A/B tests to validate these features and measure product impact. Evaluate the health of our peer-to-peer and centralized marketplace models, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for growth. Write complex SQL queries and pipelines to understand user behavior and empower experiments Create guiding visualizations and dashboards for monitoring the health of the business What You'll Bring You are passionate about data and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 5+ years of experience in a data science, analytics, or similar role in an e-commerce or marketplace environment. Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets. Strong analytical and statistical skills, with a deep understanding of user retention and behavioral analytics. Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and causal inference. Experience with multi-armed bandit approaches a plus. Experience with A/B testing platforms such as Statsig Understanding of marketplace mechanics, including supply-demand dynamics, network effects, and pricing models. Experience with Python or R for data analysis and modeling is a plus. Comfortable with dashboarding/data visualization (Looker, Tableau, Posthog etc.). We're looking for a Director of Data Science to build and lead our data organization. You'll play a critical role in shaping how Courtyard uses data to make business decisions, optimize our marketing strategy, ensure quality product and financial metrics, and deliver the best experience for our collectors and sellers. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll set the vision, understanding the data needs of the entire company, and get into the details, writing SQL and Python code, building predictive models, and guiding the team on experimentation and analytics. What You'll Do Lead a growing team of data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity, rigor, and impact. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Growth, and Finance leadership to identify opportunities to leverage data for better decisions and experiences. We are hiring Laundry Attendants! Our “Heart of the House” associates keep our guests coming back! As a Laundry Attendant, you are a key contributor to keeping our hotel clean, fresh, and sparkling every day. Responsibilities: • Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps. • Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard. • Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from washers, dryers, or dry cleaning machines and place them in clean linen carts. • Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in each load. • Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load. • Fold cleaned articles into designated sizes, either by hand or using folding machines. • Maintain accurate records of items laundered. Every engineer is already in an oncall rotation - your job is to make their lives easier by building better alerts, better runbooks, and better automation. Reduce the toil so oncall is manageable and incidents are handled smoothly by whoever is on duty. Security Audits & Reviews: Conduct regular security reviews of our codebase, infrastructure, and third-party integrations. Identify vulnerabilities before they become incidents. Work with the team to implement mitigations. Establish security best practices and ensure they're followed. Incident Response Systems: Build the systems and processes that enable effective incident response across the team. Create runbooks, automate common remediation tasks, and establish postmortem practices that turn incidents into learning opportunities. Make it easy for any engineer to handle incidents confidently. Reliability Engineering: Identify and eliminate single points of failure. Implement circuit breakers, retries, and graceful degradation. Build automation that reduces manual operational work. Minimum 6+ years of experience in designing and building beautiful and complex web applications, and the ability to do so faster than most competent people think possible. Deep understanding of modern web frameworks from their implementation details through best practices Experience working with internal APIs and optimizing data fetching, caching, and rendering.
