POSITION SUMMARY The Security Officer supports the college in the protection of life and property on the campus and delivers necessary services to assist in the efficient conduct of administrative business. Under the general supervision of the Director - Campus Safety, the officer maintains safety and security by patrolling areas and enforcing college rules and regulations. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES * Patrols campus buildings, stairwells, parking lots and roadways assisting in crime and fire prevention. * Performs security and public safety patrol duties, including but not limited to checking for fires, vandalism, suspicious activity, or safety hazards. * Examines doors and windows to ensure security; monitors closed buildings for unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activity. * Performs periodic checks of emergency call boxes and or lights to ensure proper functioning; reports malfunctions as required. * Remains alert for emergency situations and provides first-line response, emergency management and/or referral to off-campus emergency services, if required. * Enforces campus policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality in law enforcement and/or security matters. * Safeguards and controls loss of campus property. * Directs traffic and parking control enforcement - patrols and monitors assigned parking areas to provide public security and assistance, issuing parking tickets as needed. * Identifies, reports, and investigates violations of campus code of conduct, and local and state laws. Including conducting preliminary and follow-up investigations on-site or as assigned, including taking statements from complainants and witnesses. * Provides service to visitors, faculty, staff, and students as needed including providing transportation services for injured/sick individuals. * Transports heavy bags of change to and from banks. * Responds to complaints of disturbances, fights, suspicious person complaints and emergencies which range from noise complaints to major medical emergencies. * Prepares routine, standardized reports and daily logs. * Furnishes escort services for visitors, employees, and students as necessary; provides other assistance such as directions and general information. * Informs and warns violators of campus policy and procedure infractions. * Interacts with police, fire, and other emergency service providers. * Any and all other job duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: * High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: * Minimum of two (2) years' experience in security/law enforcement. Licenses / Certifications: * Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. * Must possess and maintain a valid New York State Security Guard License. * Ability to be certified in basic First Aid and CPR. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: * Associates Degree. POSITION SUMMARY The Human Resources Assistant supports the recruitment team with processing for newly posted positions, faculty and adjunct search committees and recruitment, and supports the successful operations of the Human Resources department by providing administrative efficiency and support. The Instructor may teach all or part of the lecture and laboratory practice training, and will assist with delivery of the clinical training in the student supervised clinical work experience located in the long-term care setting. This training is 120 hours of lecture and clinical experience. Training locations are dependent on community need and can be located throughout the Mohawk Valley. The Instructor must be willing to teach on-location, if necessary. Topics include: communication and interpersonal skills, universal precautions, infection control, safety, basic nursing skills, personal care skills, mental health, social service needs, care of cognitively impaired residents, basic restorative services, and residents' rights. Sponsor Relations & Fulfillment * Create compelling sponsorship packages and donor benefit structures. * Recruit, engage, and steward sponsors and donors; ensure that benefits are fulfilled according to the agreed-upon terms. * Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsor relations and event activation. * Lead sponsor communications, including scheduling calls, collecting assets (logos, product details, guest names), and managing deadlines. * Collaborate with culinary and planning teams to showcase sponsor products during events. * Coordinate the Advancement Office's special events donor engagement program including sponsor recruitment and management. Internal & External Collaboration * Partner with the Society of Fellows, Alumni Relations, Corporate Relations, and the President's Office to align event efforts with institutional priorities. * Lead the development of new events that generate revenue and expand alumni and donor engagement. * Manage documentation and reporting in Advancement CRM and prospect tracking systems. * Support the planning and implementation of events around the Board of Trustees and alumni engagement opportunities. * Document contacts and prospect 'moves' tracking progress using the CIA Advancement database and prospect tracking systems. * Any and all other duties as assigned, Required Qualifications Education * Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of an Associate's Degree combined with 10-12 years of progressively responsive experience in event management, hospitality or a related field. Experience * A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in event management, hospitality or a related field. * Successful track record to date in previous roles, producing superior results. Preferred Qualification * Proven track record of senior-level experience in large-scale event management; including Galas, Alumni events, corporate events or trade shows. * Demonstrated success in leading and managing diverse teams, including event managers, coordinators and vendors. * Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management with vendors, venues and suppliers. * Strategic thinking and planning expertise to align event objectives with organizational goals. * Exceptional project management skills with a strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver events on time and within budget. * Strong creative and problem-solving abilities to ensure innovative and engaging events. * Experience in a nonprofit, alumni relations, or higher education environment. Required Skills * Broad business savvy, with a solid grasp of financial and operating goals. Must have a track record of achieving measurable success for meeting objectives, managing costs and achieving change. * Exceptional organizational skills. * Strong facilitation and presentation skills. * Excellent written and verbal communications skills. * Ability to solve problems collaboratively and with a positive attitude. * Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to be adaptable, dependable and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. * Ability to use sound judgement and discretion in handling sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion. * Must display a high level of energy and self-motivation. * Computer proficiency, which must include abilities to work effectively with e-Learning systems, fundraising database systems and MS Office suite products. * Highly organized with experience in project management and skilled in MS-Project, Planner, Smartsheet, or similar planning tools. * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Working Conditions * Must be able to travel and work nights and weekends as required by business needs. * Regular work could require a great deal standing for extended periods. * Regular work requires the use of a computer, sometimes in excess of eight (8) hours per day.
