A designer works under supervision of the Project Architect and/or Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with a keen ability to translate design intent into drawings. An ability to communicate (written and verbal) and collaborate is paramount. Qualified candidates should possess strong organizational skills, an ability to formulate, research and ask pertinent questions, and the initiative to take on design or technical challenges. Working as part of a small team, the Designer will have exposure to the full architectural process.

The Architect IV will be responsible for the following:
+ Provide a design-driven technical leadership approach to the architecture team.

The Architect IV will be responsible for the following:
Provide a design-driven technical leadership approach to the architecture team.

Responsibilities
Work with multi-disciplinary project teams, assisting in site design development from concept through construction
Prepare graphics, by hand and by computer, for design development and presentations, including 3D digital models, concept plans and diagrams, design studies, material boards, illustrative plans, cross-sections, and perspective sketches
Assist in producing construction documents: develop layout and materials, grading, and planting plans and technical details, and write technical specifications
Assist in preparing estimates of probable construction costs
Assist with project construction administration tasks
Skills and Attributes
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong graphic skills and ability to organize and present ideas graphically
Strong knowledge of plant identification, plant selection, and horticultural & arboricultural practices
Ability to handle assignments from multiple project managers
Public speaking and presentation skills
Experience with ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD Civil3D, Adobe Creative Suites, SketchUp and associated rendering software, and Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities
Responsible for leading and developing detailed design and production of construction documents.
Develop specifications, and perform material/product selection and research.
Perform code analysis.
Assist designers and project managers in conceptual input on assigned projects.
Responsible for monitoring scope, schedule and budget on architectural aspects of projects.
Responsible for developing discipline work plans and tasking, supervision and mentoring of assigned project personnel.
Responsible for some construction phase shop drawing review and assembly of requests for proposals, change orders and closeout documentation.
Participate in the firm's QA/QC program by serving as architectural discipline checker for assigned projects.
Provide assigned collateral duties relative to the operation of the team.
Assist in production standards.
Perform other related work as apparent or assigned.
Required Skills & Required Experience
Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture required.
3-8 years of experience required.
Candidate must be proficient in REVIT and MS Office.
Professional registration as an Architect, licensed to practice in the US is preferred but not required to apply.
