Responsibilities This individual will work in a multi-discipline, team environment with primary responsibility to assist in the design and production of mechanical construction documents for commercial and institutional projects as well as the design of building systems (HVAC and plumbing) and life safety plans for office buildings, residential, health care, educational, federal, commercial and institutional projects. The intern may also assist with the design and specification of system layouts, load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, energy modeling, building information modeling, and other tasks related to the position. Master's Degree in relevant field. · Minimum seven (7) years of experience in systems engineering for complex defense systems, including requirements, integration, and T&E support. · Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams or workgroups and providing daily technical supervision. · Hands‑on experience with systems engineering tools and methods (modeling & simulation, MBSE, CM, trade studies) and producing engineering artifacts (ICDs, I&T plans, test plans). · Familiarity with DoD engineering standards, T&E processes, and lifecycle management; ability to translate requirements into verifiable testable criteria. · Strong written and oral communications skills for technical reports and briefings to Government stakeholders. · Experience applying Agile methodologies to engineering programs. · Eligible for or holding required security clearance as specified in task orders. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience supporting DSCA or security cooperation program requirements and working within Government collaboration platforms · Professional certifications such as PMP, or equivalent technical credentials. Responsibilities * Responsible for preparation and coordination of all site/civil design aspects. * Works closely with Senior Project Manager and agency staff. * Supervises internal junior staff. * Specific work may include, but is not limited to, client communication, budget oversight and responsibility, construction document (plan and specifications) and technical reports preparation and/or oversight; engineering analyses, cost estimates and quality control/quality assurance in order to deliver a quality design product. * Project Manager will establish milestones and completion dates for projects and monitor progress for final evaluation of results. * Other duties as required. Required Skills & Required Experience * BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. * 4-6 years of experience in civil design of land development activities including: design of grading, storm water management, soil erosion & sediment control, public and private roadways, storm drainage and water & sewer design. * PE in the Virginia preferred. * Proficient in preparation of graphics, exhibits and Site/Civil Construction Plans. * Strong technical capabilities in various Software Applications including but limited to: * Strong understanding of site/civil design for energy & utilities, higher education, and public and private land development. * Proficiency in Civil 3D or other model-based software is desirable. * Experienced individual must be capable of delivering projects that meet technical requirements on time and within budget. * Skill sets must include performance and /or direction of specific engineering work on diverse civil site design projects across market segments and with varying degrees of complexity. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to become proficient in Dewberry engineering practices, standards, and Dewberry-specific software programs Don't meet every single requirement?
