**Job Description**
**AECOM** is searching for a **Project-Client Manager** in our **Roanoke, VA** office to lead and support our water, wastewater, site civil, and related infrastructure projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below.
+ Candidate will manage, plan, and lead engineering design projects for land development, stormwater, and facility infrastructure.
+ Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
+ Manages the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
+ May supervise mid to junior level engineers (all disciplines applicable), as well as project administration, project controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating and procurement representatives.
+ Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope.
+ Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
+ Develops a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
+ Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
+ Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
+ Performs risk management to minimize project risks
+ Consistently delivers profit margins planned.
+ Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
+ Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
+ Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
+ Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
+ Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
+ Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
+ Prepares technical specification sections.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
+ BA/BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
+ Professional Engineer - PE in Virginia.
+ Project Management Experience.
**Preferred Requirements**
+ 15+ years of related experience.
+ Experience with project development and management, utility systems, and client management.

**Job Description**
AECOM's Buildings + Places Group has a fabulous opportunity in Roanoke, VA for a **Construction Estimator** that supports a diverse slate of projects and engineering estimate efforts. We offer a good balance of work and a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office.
The Construction Estimator will provide cost estimating support for our Buildings + Places estimating efforts. Estimates will vary and will include: detailed take-off, cost estimating, construction methodology, tact and approach, determination of crewing and productivity, proposal schedule generation, subcontractor/vendor solicitation and coordination, scope development, evaluation/comparison, bid day spreadsheets, bid report preparation, constructability reviews, value engineering. This role also includes travel to pre-bids and site visits in the U.S. and internationally.
In this role, the Construction Estimator performs the following, but will not be limited to:
+ Works with the Company estimating systems and processes.
+ Applies estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles.
+ Recognizes how various processes/project actions and assumptions may impact the project estimates and begin to assist in quantifying the impact.
+ Prepares bid packages, conceptual estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids, etc. for projects.
+ Performs duties with some complexity under general supervision.
+ Expected to assist in the preparation of larger and more complex estimating assignments including the Estimate Plan.
+ Understands the Division costing structure (overheads, G&A, insurance, etc.)
+ Develops wage rate build-ups.
+ Reads and interprets drawings and specifications.
+ Develops detailed material take-offs for estimate development and field procurement of bulk materials.
+ Develops cash flow schedules and estimates.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Construction Engineering or Construction Management plus 4 years of related experience **OR demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education** (i.e. - Associate's degree + 6 years of experience OR High School Diploma or Equivalent + 8 years of experience)
+ Demonstrated experience in estimating projects
+ Experience with RSMeans Estimating or similar estimating system

AECOM's Roanoke, VA office is hiring an Electrical Engineering Manager to work on various designs of high-performance buildings within multiple sectors including Corporate Workplace and Commercial buildings, Federal Civilian and DoD, Healthcare, Mission Critical, Justice, and Higher Education projects.

This role will be an integral part of the AECOM's B+P Practice, we are seeing individuals with a passion for people management, technical expertise and interest in marketing and business development.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Performs various management and leadership responsibilities for the Electrical Engineering Department. Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.
Requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering. Plans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploration of a subject area, the definition of scope, and the selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.
Maintains liaison with units within the organization and individuals inside and outside of the organization.
Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field.
Works under minimal supervision. Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
Supervises a group of engineers and/or technicians, coordinating activities of the unit.
Acts as a Senior Engineer leading the design and engineering efforts for various projects.
Assist in business development activities
Assist in proposal preparation in conjunction with the senior leadership of the office
Writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings
Works cooperatively with managers and other employees to achieve company's mission
Ensures discipline plans that are created meet overall project team requirements for project scope and schedule
Stays current on codes and technologies appropriate to the electrical and fire alarm disciplines
Ensures conformance with standards, established design practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction
Develops designs within a BIM design environment
Review junior team member's work for quality and recognition of training requirements
Lead junior engineers in engineering design development and professional growth
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field plus 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration
Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of electrical engineering experience within a consulting or design-build firm.
Experience managing an Electrical Engineering Department is strongly preferred.
Presentation experience with clients.
Experience with Revit and AutoCAD based design projects.
Competent in all conventional aspects of electrical engineering and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard electrical engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Experience in the following markets: DoD, Healthcare and Labs, Corporate Commercial / Mixed Use.
Experience with sustainable design.
Documented experience with advanced design, and aesthetically challenging design with high profile architecture firms.
Analyze equipment energy use for optimizing systems selection.

The Construction Estimator will provide cost estimating support for our Buildings + Places estimating efforts. Estimates will vary and will include: detailed take-off, cost estimating, construction methodology, tact and approach, determination of crewing and productivity, proposal schedule generation, subcontractor/vendor solicitation and coordination, scope development, evaluation/comparison, bid day spreadsheets, bid report preparation, constructability reviews, value engineering. AECOM is seeking a highly motivated and talented Water Utilities Engineer - Hydraulics Engineer-Modeler to lead various water utility planning assignments for immediate employment at AECOM's Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC, Miami, FL, Tampa, FL, Atlanta, GA, Columbia, SC, Roanoke, VA or our Virginia Beach, VA Office with flexibility of having a hybrid schedule with remote and in-office work. In addition, this candidate will collaborate with AECOM's Southeast Modeling Group on Southeast U.S. projects with occasional opportunities nationally. The successful candidate will perform multiple tasks, including but not limited to the evaluation of potable water and reclaimed water distribution systems, capacity analysis, condition assessments, storage and pumping evaluations, and master planning for federal, private, and municipal clients.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Plans drinking water utility systems including supply, transmission, pumping, storage, and distribution
* Work on Water System Hydraulic Modeling projects primarily using skills related to AutoDesk Innovyze and Bentley software, ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, etc.
* Specializes in all aspects of modeling, including building water system hydraulic models from plans or GIS data, calibrating/validating hydraulic models, conducting simulations, interpreting results, analyzing or evaluating the hydraulic models for various studies, and preparing technical reports on hydraulic modeling work performed.
* Present technical findings to clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholder groups and provide training when needed.
* Lead a team of Level 1 and Level 2 hydraulic modelers and train them with hydraulic modeling software and related skills.
* Assist with developing task and effort estimates for proposal support.
* Utilize basic engineering principles, judgment, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
* Gather and correlate primary engineering data using established procedures and practices.
* Work on routine or detailed engineering assignments involving calculations and engineering analysis.
* Work collaboratively and independently in a dynamic team environment.
* Record and interpret data, conduct analyses, and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
* Work under the supervision of senior-level team members in hydraulic modeling assignments.

Qualifications

* Experience using various water system hydraulic water modeling software (Autodesk Innovyze and Bentley WaterGEMS) for water utility planning.
* GIS experience and demonstrated knowledge of working through the GIS platform.
* Ability to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time for occasional field investigations.
* U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
