Responsibilities may include project work ranging in size from small plant improvements to design of large new facilities. The civil engineer applies expertise to concrete, structural steel, and site development plans while collaborating with a team of civil engineers and designers to coordinate with other design disciplines, such as construction, procurement, project management, project engineering, project controls, process engineering, and process automation, to successfully complete the design of the civil portion of work for capital projects.
Material Science / Metallurgical Engineer
(Key Roles: Maintenance Engineer or Hardware Design Engineer)
Responsibilities may include work ranging in size from small plant material of construction improvements to the metallurgical design of large new facilities. The Material Science/Metallurgical engineer applies expertise in material science to collaborate with facility teams and designers. This engineer also coordinates with other design disciplines, such as construction, procurement, project management, project engineering, project controls, and process engineering to successfully complete the selection of the most effective materials for projects and daily maintenance.

The Pennsauken, NJ site currently has an opportunity for a Production Operator.
The site is a key manufacturing facility for DuPont's Shelter Business.
Production Operators perform required tasks associated with the safe and efficient operation of the production line, including the use of equipment to produce high quality products in a timely manner. Production Operators are expected to work independently and on teams with minimal supervision. This position requires strong communication skills in both written and oral form including following operating procedures. Production Operators will need to follow instructions, troubleshoot and solve problems, as well as exhibit strong work ethic and reliability.
All Production Operators work Monday through Thursday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.
**Core Responsibilities:**
+ Follow all safety requirements.
+ Assess the finished product to ensure it meets quality requirements.

+ Understand and follow operating discipline principles, procedures, and practices without deviation.

+ A minimum of 1-2 years' manufacturing/production, warehouse, technician, logistic/military experience is preferred.
+ Willing and able to work overtime, sometimes on short notice is required.
+ Willing and able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as steel toes, hardhat, protective eyewear, and flame-retardant clothing.
+ Willing and able to lift and move objects that weigh up to 50 lbs.
+ Willing and able to perform repetitive movement; including climbing several flights of stairs multiple times per day, stand, stoop, and bend.
+ Must have basic math skills.
+ Must be able to read a tape measure.
+ Must be able to keep accurate written records and maintain good communication skills.

**Responsibilities Description:**
Administers and operates the sites warehouse, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment. Accounts for all materials and supplies in the warehouse facility; audits goods received into the warehouse. Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures. Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.
Ensures that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel. Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records. Ensures that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct. Performs warehouse operations duties including moving, storing, labeling, supplies, and equipment. Uses equipment such as forklifts, storage equipment to move and store materials. Has acquired advanced skills that are typically gained through a combination of job-related training and considerable work experience. Has a specialized level of skill related to assigned tasks and works autonomously within established procedures and practices.
Additionally, the role performs activities alongside other logistic technicians such as loading and tarping trucks, unloading trucks, hooding material, restocking the material in the designated location and keeping an accurate inventory of product that was repackaged as hooded material.

+ Alternating Term Co-op (ATC) Track: Dow Operation's 3-term work commitment where a student alternates between taking classes on campus and working terms in our various Operations departments. One (or more) of the work terms must be in the spring or fall semesters (i.e. can't do all 3 terms in the summer). Back-to-back work terms are allowed. If a student wanted to complete terms beyond the 3-term commitment, they would need to reapply to be considered. Students considering the ATC should consult with their academic advisors to understand how working one or more non-summer terms could impact graduation date.

+ All work terms are a minimum of 12 weeks with a maximum of 14 weeks in duration for both Tracks.

The civil engineer applies expertise to concrete, structural steel, and site development plans while collaborating with a team of civil engineers and designers to coordinate with other design disciplines, such as construction, procurement, project management, project engineering, project controls, process engineering, and process automation, to successfully complete the design of the civil portion of work for capital projects.
Material Science / Metallurgical Engineer
(Key Roles: Maintenance Engineer or Hardware Design Engineer)
Responsibilities may include work ranging in size from small plant material of construction improvements to the metallurgical design of large new facilities. The Material Science/Metallurgical engineer applies expertise in material science to collaborate with facility teams and designers. This engineer also coordinates with other design disciplines, such as construction, procurement, project management, project engineering, project controls, and process engineering, to successfully complete the selection of the most effective materials for projects and daily maintenance.

+ You will contribute to experiment planning to scale up viral vector-based processes from shake flasks to bioreactors, assist in identifying and establishing process parameters and ranges, performing planned experiments, optimizing upstream cell culture process steps, perform data analysis for early and late-stage products, and technology transfer the process to GMP clinical or commercial manufacturing sites.
+ May also perform side studies related to media optimization, technology evaluation, and other cell culture related activities as needed.
**Qualifications**
**Required:**
+ A Bachelor's degree Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other equivalent and background with at least 3-4 years of relevant industry experience is required (or a Master's degree with at least 2 years of experience is preferred).
+ Broad knowledge in upstream process development and good understanding of cell culture parameters. Hands-on experience with aseptic techniques, cell culture in shake flasks, Wave bioreactors, and bioreactor systems, and cell counting/monitoring methods is required.
+ Candidate needs to be highly organized, meticulous, and capable of handling/pursuing multiple projects in parallel with limited guidance.
+ Strong analytical problem-solving skills for developing creative, innovative solutions, and meeting project objectives is required.
