On the Eastern plateau of Washington between the Cascade Mountain Range on the West and the Columbia River on the East, Wenatchee has been the home to the Eagle Group and its predecessor, Eagle Transfer, since 1903.
The company dropped the livery portion of their name and evolved into interstate household goods moving and storage in the 1930's.
Eagle has been providing intermodal terminal operations services since 1955.
In 1955, Eagle Transfer pioneered the first "piggyback" operations in North Central Washington with Great Northern Railway.
Eagle Administrative Services was formed in 1986 to provide administrative support to the Eagle Group of companies.
They established a circus ramp at Wenatchee and operated it until Burlington Northern closed the facility in 1994.
In 1994, the company purchased an imaging system and has successfully converted a paper intensive environment into a digitized network which allows equal access by all authorized employees.
In 1997, Eagle acquired an east coast intermodal trucking operation.
In early 2002, this division was spun off into Eagle Intermodal Services, Inc.
