Pros of working at The Farmer's Dog

I worked there for a couple of years, and originally, the workplace was amazing Benefits were solid, not amazing admittedly, but better than average. Over time, EVERYTHING degraded. The Support you received, quality of work you had time to do, management, communication, and no raises.

Cons of working at The Farmer's Dog

Raises only once per year, not that significant either. Stress and expectations are not worth the pay. Management is not consistent Communication is Shoddy at best, if they communicate changes or plans at ALL Used to be solid in the accommodations, however they rejected it and offered things that wouldn't accommodate my disability -Friend Caught a "Catch it change it" for taking their wife to the ER

The Farmer's Dog benefits

Stable hours/shift, unless they decide to add another shift change for the 3rd time in a year... Again. These can be mandatory, and you have to use a very aggravating google response form to request a specific shift. Because you can't Confirm a shift. (this means you can be put on nights or weekends when you don't plan for it)

What do you like best about The Farmer's Dog's CEO and the leadership team?

I like the idea of what they WANTED the company to be.

How would you improve The Farmer's Dog's culture?

Stop being hostile towards employees and giving warnings just before yearly raises :)

How did you prepare for the The Farmer's Dog interview?

read their website, be prepared to always be happy and peppy, and that you will have full workdays of only speaking on phones.

How does your compensation at The Farmer's Dog compare to the industry average?

Average

What's the diversity at The Farmer's Dog like?

Solid for LGBT+ folks (though many are leaving), but not many people of color.

What brings you the most joy at The Farmer's Dog?

Making people excited about their pups :)
