What We Stand For and Where You'll Come In
We're looking for a Creative Director, Art who brings bold thinking and strong leadership to everything we put into the world. This role will shape how The Farmer's Dog shows up across channels, building work that deepens emotional connection with dog lovers, strengthens our brand, and drives meaningful business growth.
You'll be a steward of our visual identity and a champion for creative excellence, guiding teams to produce work that's distinctive, culturally relevant, and true to who we are. Partnering closely across the company, you'll turn strategy into beautifully crafted ideas and striking advertising, push the brand forward with intention, and help ensure every touchpoint reflects the care, quality, and conviction behind our product.
One Team: We don't think of ourselves as "Acquisition Marketers", "Engineers", "Data Analysts", or "Product Managers". Beyond denoting skill sets and areas of expertise, we don't think departments matter. We'd rather align ourselves to the goals we're working to achieve and make sure we have necessary subject matter expertise to drive meaningful impact. We strive to orient ourselves around customer problems TOGETHER - getting the right people, with the right context, in the right rooms/Zooms to solve problems holistically.
We are skeptical about everything and precious about nothing: Ideas can and should come from anywhere, and we aren't tied to our own. We proactively source input. We talk to our customers and leads regularly and are quick to change course if we know there's a better or more impactful way to solve problems.
We consider the customer journey in all of our decisions: We know that no interaction exists in a silo and therefore understand how important every single one is. We ensure our strategy sets prospective and new customers up for success and drives long-term retention. We answer questions and address problems early and proactively. We understand the value of different channels, initiatives, and messages and know how to articulate impact and advocate for prioritization holistically.
We Execute For Impact: We don't subscribe to "best practices" or "industry KPIs". We're uninterested in how we compare to "benchmarks"; instead we orient ourselves around being the best we can possibly be. Similarly, we don't subscribe to rigid or classical expectations of roles - i.e. acquisition is hyper-focused on improving customer retention and experience.
We Are Focused and Work Without Assumption: We are not beholden to ideas. We have goals and believe everything beyond that is a series of hypotheses to validate. To that end, we seek to work in sequence and not in parallel. We constantly ask ourselves, "what's the most important hypothesis I should be working on right now? How do I confirm or reject that hypothesis as fast as possible?". We rarely have timelines/deadlines and are constantly taking in new information and adjusting our priorities accordingly. We don't expect to be perfect the first time.
How You'll Make An Impact
* Conceive, develop, and help produce work that will connect with dog lovers on every channel, earn attention from the media, and inspire people to become TFD customers and loyalists. This work will range from integrated 360 brand campaigns to fast-twitch social content to activations and partnerships to always-on performance marketing.
* Direct new explorations of look and feel, adapting and evolving our brand guidelines and crafting proprietary, brand-true visual voice in photography, art direction, typography, and other elements of visual expression.
* Manage a team of art directors and design leaders, inspiring brave new ideas while keeping a constant pulse on our brand voice and identity. This includes overseeing our Design Leads to ensure that our look and feel is translated into effective, distinctive, and cohesive design systems.
* Work closely with the Brand operations function to help plan resourcing, track bandwidth, create project and production schedules, and maintain oversight on the organizational health of the team.
* Along with advertising, work closely with our Lifecycle and Product groups to guide the overall brand look and feel in marketing channels that support our leads and customers.
* Join with stakeholders in other departments throughout the company to meet and exceed our business goals. You'll immerse yourself in the product, becoming an expert in the unique qualities of our fresh food service, and shepherd creative ideas through the vetting process to co-develop work that serves the business as a whole.
We're Excited About You Because
* You have 8+ years of experience, including 2+ years as an Associate Creative Director or Creative Director within an agency and/or in-house team. A portfolio with creative, relevant work for which you were primarily responsible is required.
* You have managed a team of creatives and value mentorship as a crucial element of the job function. You consider the growth and success of your direct reports the greatest signal of your own achievement. You can spot a golden nugget in the brainstorm brain dump and help turn it into something great.
* You have a deep design background and feel as comfortable discussing the kerning of a headline as you are critiquing the headline itself.
* You can quickly grasp, and bring to life the visual identity of a brand, and help evolve that identity. You also define quality by the smallest details - nothing is too small to be important.
* You specialize in untangling problems, clearing confusion, and pushing past blockers, and know how to coach your team to do the same.
* You have extensive experience shepherding ideas through production, working with internal and external production partners.
* You're media and cultural savvy - you know the best way to deliver the best idea.
* You're adaptable to different working styles, mindsets, and personalities, showcasing a willingness to collaborate with all.
* You're a true dog person - even if you don't have one!
Office Guidelines
We are an in-office culture, made of in-office people who thrive on the collaboration and magnetism of working in a shared space. We are seeking individuals who excel in this type of environment, where being present fosters deeper connections and engagement.
Our Belonging Philosophy:
At TFD, we believe Belonging is a shared commitment to creating a workplace where every person feels respected, valued, and empowered to be themselves. When people feel a true sense of belonging, they do their best work, take smart risks, and bring forward diverse perspectives - leading to stronger decisions and deeper relationships.
We anchor this belief in a simple phrase: "Everyone's welcome at the dog park." No matter your background, identity, or role, there's space for you here. There's no one way to show up at the dog park- just shared space, mutual respect, and the freedom to be yourself. Being included is just the beginning, it's about contributing your voice, growing through challenges, and building trust through shared goals. This philosophy guides how we lead, how we hire, how we communicate, and how we grow.
We continuously evaluate to ensure we are creating a consistent experience that cultivates belonging for all employees, from hiring and performance reviews to talent development. We also believe Belonging happens in everyday moments of connection; lunch with a new teammate, a shared laugh, or a quick story about your weekend. Our structure includes biannual employee surveys, manager training, TFD camps, and support from Humans to ensure we're listening and learning from our Team.
Together, these efforts reflect what Belonging means at TFD: a culture where everyone can thrive.

We anchor this belief in a simple phrase: “Everyone's welcome at the dog park.” No matter your background, identity, or role, there's space for you here.

The Farmer's Dog job in New York, NY
Who We Are
The Farmer's Dog was born from a mission to change the landscape of pet health, providing dogs and their humans with honest, smart, and simple care. To date, The Farmer's Dog has delivered over 1 billion meals nationwide and raised over $150M in funding to help us build a company as healthy as the dogs who are eating those meals. Join us as we continue to develop ways of bringing peace of mind to customers, health to their companions, and much-needed change to the way people feed and care for their pets.
#LongLiveDogs
What We Stand For and Where You'll Come In
As a Senior Product Designer 2 you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of products that help potential customers discover, understand, and become customers of The Farmer's Dog. Your mission is to create seamless, personalized, and high-converting experiences across our digital touchpoints-helping more dog lovers understand the value of the brand, gain confidence that they're making the right decision for their dog, and take the first step toward lifelong, healthier care for their pets.
This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of growth strategy, customer behavior, and digital product design. You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams-including Growth Marketing, Engineering, Data, and CX-to identify opportunities, test hypotheses, and launch high-impact programs that improve conversion rates and drive sustainable customer growth. Over time, you'll define and evolve a cohesive acquisition journey that delivers clarity, confidence, and joy to every prospective customer-driving measurable business growth while reinforcing the company's mission and brand.
One Team: We don't think of ourselves as “Acquisition Marketers”, “Engineers”, “Data Analysts”, or “Product Managers”.
We Execute For Impact: We don't subscribe to “best practices” or “industry KPIs”. We're uninterested in how we compare to “benchmarks”; instead we orient ourselves around being the best we can possibly be.
We constantly ask ourselves, “what's the most important hypothesis I should be working on right now? How do I confirm or reject that hypothesis as fast as possible?”. We rarely have timelines/deadlines and are constantly taking in new information and adjusting our priorities accordingly. We don't expect to be perfect the first time.
How You'll Make An Impact
Apply end-to-end thinking to design connected experiences that guide customers through key moments in their relationship with TFD, ensuring every touchpoint feels intentional and cohesive.
Lead systems design by building reusable tools, patterns, and components that help teams deliver consistent, high-quality experiences across products and platforms.
Continuously incorporate research insights and usability testing into your design process, embracing a first-principles mindset and leveraging data (quant and qual) to inform decision-making.
Craft adaptive experiences across multiple touchpoints and maintain a consistent brand aesthetic within your designs.
Design systems that consider edge cases, transitions, and complex workflows while maintaining a cohesive and consistent user experience.
Contribute to our design system and think critically about how we work - always looking for ways to optimize, automate, and drive efficiencies.
Foster trust and alignment across product, engineering, brand, retention, and customer support teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions.
Be a thought partner for other designers by proactively sharing knowledge, elevating design thinking across the organization, and setting exemplary standards while seeking and welcoming feedback.
Critically evaluate how we work, refine design processes to improve efficiency, and foster a culture of continuous learning through prototyping and visualizing solutions.
Prioritize work to have the biggest impact on dogs, customers, and the business - from identifying issues post-launch to participating in reviews of upcoming projects.
We're Excited About You Because
You have 7+ years of experience in product design, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.
You're an expert in tools like Figma and have proficiency in user-centered design processes, including research, prototyping, and testing, with a strong grasp of end-to-end thinking and systems design.
You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and are a naturally curious, proactive self-starter who is constantly on the lookout for new opportunities and solutions.
You're a skilled communicator with the ability to absorb and distill complexity and drive decision-making.
You are an owner, have excellent problem-solving skills, and can prioritize tasks effectively with strong attention to detail.
You build strong cross-functional relationships, facilitate productive discussions, and drive alignment.
You have a demonstrated track record of turning insights - from both quantitative and qualitative data - into impactful product features and experiences.
You have a customer-first mindset, a deep understanding of customer psychology and behavior, and experience collaborating closely with product, engineering, brand, and customer experience teams.
You love dogs.

Director, Brand Marketing
Little Spoon 4.3
New York, NY job
About The Role
Little Spoon was founded on the belief that today's parents are fundamentally different-more informed, more time-strapped, and more discerning about what they bring into their homes. We set out to reimagine a century-old category through products, transparency and an experience that delivers what the modern parent truly deserves. And we're at a very exciting growth stage- we're the #1 online baby and kids food brand in the US, and recently made a big foray into retail (nationwide at Target) this fall!
We are seeking a Director, Brand Marketing -a strategic, culturally attuned, and creatively ambitious leader who will own Little Spoon's brand expression across every touchpoint.
As a senior member of the Marketing Leadership team reporting to the Chief Brand Officer, you will set the vision and drive integrated brand strategy, ensuring brand excellence across core channels and awareness campaigns. Viewing Brand as an engine for growth, this role blends creative leadership with operational rigor-translating insights into culturally resonant, cross-channel storytelling that drives awareness, impact, and long-term brand value.
You will manage and mentor a team (currently three), while partnering closely with marketing and customer-led leaders across the business to scale the Little Spoon brand. You will play a central role in shaping organizational structure, capability development and operating rhythm as the brand scales.
What You'll Do:
Brand Leadership + Integrated Strategy
Serve as a senior brand steward, ensuring every channel and consumer experience ladders up to one cohesive brand narrative and drives measurable business outcomes.
Bring strategic rigor to brand planning by building scalable systems and structure - setting priorities, sequencing initiatives and making trade-offs to ensure focus, impact and operational excellence
Operate comfortably at both altitude and ground level, zooming out to define strategy and zooming in to drive execution when needed.
Connect dots across teams and channels to simplify complexity and move work forward decisively.
Partner closely with senior leaders across Growth, Creative, Digital Product, Care and Retail to ensure a unified, insight-driven, and culturally resonant brand presence. Architect omnichannel campaigns that drive measurable brand and business outcomes.
Ensure brand excellence across social, experiential, editorial, influencer, retail, paid, and earned touchpoints-delivering a consistent, differentiated narrative for modern parents and reporting on performance against defined brand and business metrics.
Drive the end-to-end brand strategy from positioning through big idea development, briefing, production, KPI development, and omnichannel roll out of go-to-market campaigns and launches.
Brand Content + Awareness Channels
Lead brand partnerships and advertising campaigns from strategy through execution, while managing a high-performing team across social, editorial, and brand management.
Bring business discipline to brand work - owning budgets, workflows and resource planning in partnership with Marketing leadership.
Oversee the editorial evolution of the brand, operationalizing our content development across mediums and our deployment of educational + editorial content across core brand channels.
Build content frameworks and scalable series across channels (with a strong focus on social) that reinforce our brand values, product differentiation and cultural role.
Partner with our Senior Director of Brand Communications to deliver breakthrough experiential activations, brand stunts and pop-ups that drive earned attention and connect Little Spoon to cultural conversation and parent communities in meaningful, ownable ways.
What You'll Bring:
Demonstrated success owning integrated brand marketing, social strategy, content innovation, partnerships and editorial/education.
An obsession with looking at problems, insights and opportunities across a multitude of angles to deliver the highest impact result.
A highly developed creative instinct paired with sharp strategic thinking, strong business judgment and an ability to operationalize vision into high-impact execution.
A passion for challenging category norms, dreaming ambitiously and building culturally meaningful brand moments.
Deep expertise in brand marketing, content development and social-first, consumer-first brand building.
Comfort leading through ambiguity and experience managing complex and fast-paced projects with cross-functional peers and a team with varying brand-led skillsets.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to champion ideas, align stakeholders and bring clarity to complex cross-functional work.
A forward-thinking mindset, hunger to leverage new technology, experiment across channels and explore the range of expression available for the brand and business.
What You'll Need:
10+ years of experience in integrated brand marketing, content, partnerships or related disciplines within consumer, DTC, CPG or culture-driven brands.
5+ years of experience as a people manager leading high-impact teams.
A portfolio of disruptive, high-impact brand work that builds cultural relevance and emotional connection.
Comfort working in a hybrid environment with teams and partners across NYC and the US.
Located in the Tristate/NYC area to have active and frequent presence in the NYC office.

Manager, New Verticals & Special Projects
Little Spoon 4.3
New York, NY job
About The Role:
Little Spoon was founded on the belief that today's parents are different - equal parts more time-strapped and more food-savvy than ever. We set out to disrupt a century-old category with products and an experience that deliver on what the modern parent deserves.
We're looking for a highly versatile Manager, New Verticals & Special Projects to join our Business Operations team. This role is perfect for someone early in their career who thrives as a generalist - comfortable switching between analytical work, strategic deck building, in the weeds execution, and cross-functional project management. It's a role where no two days will look the same.
Reporting directly to our Chief of Staff, this is a hybrid role that will act as the connective tissue that ensures launches are tight, performance is visible, and leadership has what they need to move fast and effectively. If you love operating inside complexity, bringing structure to chaos, and being trusted with high-stakes work early, this is your kind of role. You will primarily own critical retail workflows, supporting and project managing new vertical launches, developing pitches for buyers, and helping to drive the internal structure needed to scale Little Spoon's fast-growing retail business.
You'll also create leverage for the leadership team by supporting special projects and strategic initiatives with research, modeling, analysis, and storytelling. You'll be an essential partner in shaping how Little Spoon grows and you'll have direct exposure to mission-critical projects and the opportunity to own meaningful work from day one.
What You'll Do:
Retail Growth & New Vertical Expansion
Share weekly performance snapshots and campaign dashboards with leadership to drive visibility and agile decision-making.
Lead the creation of monthly buyer readouts, IRI performance synthesis, and retail performance storytelling.
Develop repeatable templates and structures for ongoing performance reporting and buyer materials.
Support new retailer launches through modeling, scenario planning, and business case development.
Build decks and materials that synthesize insights, performance, and strategy for internal leadership and transform data into crisp narrative and insights for external audiences.
Retail Management
Support all retail marketing and go-to-market workstreams across Target, Amazon and future retail partners (e-commerce + in-store).
Build and manage GTM calendars, promotional timelines, and execution plans; align agencies and internal teams and hold stakeholders accountable.
Centralize and route retail marketing requests (from promos to in-store marketing), ensuring clarity, speed, and brand alignment.
Manage day-to-day agency and platform relationships (shopper, Roundel, TPA, and retail media partners), ensuring all programs launch on schedule and deliver against performance goals (ROAS, CTR, conversion).
Structure and manage internal cross-functional processes across Retail, Marketing, Strategy, and Ops (promo calendars, in-store marketing, reset timelines, ISM coordination, cross-functional meeting cadences).
Identify bottlenecks and implement systems to help teams operate more efficiently.
Analyze POS, retail media, and paid campaign performance data (ROAS, CTR, conversion, velocity, household penetration) to identify trends, insights, and optimization opportunities.
Manage retail marketing budget trackers; monitor spend and flag reallocation opportunities based on performance.
Strategic Support
Support Chief of Staff with ad-hoc financial and business modeling across new launches, promotion planning, resets, and commercial planning.
Pressure-test P&Ls, validate assumptions, and partner with Finance and Ops on margin and cost-structure opportunities.
Executive Enablement & Special Project Support
Act as a force multiplier and operate as a true extension of the Chief of Staff and CEO on priority initiatives - conducting analysis, preparing executive-level materials, and driving execution on high-impact, time-sensitive projects.
Prepare concise briefs, meeting prep, and internal comms that allow Chief of Staff and CEO to move faster.
Support the execution of high-priority growth initiatives, working directly with Chief of Staff and CEO.
Absorb some of the miscellaneous special project executional work that sits between retail, strategy, ops, and marketing - connecting dots across the organization..
What You'll Bring
Strong grasp of financial statements, business case modeling, channel economics, and commercial planning.
Data-driven; confident pulling reports, analyzing velocity, and able to distill complex problems into clear recommendations.
Polished communicator with the confidence to interface with buyers, agencies, and senior leadership.
Strong project management skills - highly organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

The Farmer's Dog 4.4
The Farmer's Dog job in New York, NY
Who We Are
The Farmer's Dog was born from a mission to change the landscape of pet health, providing dogs and their humans with honest, smart, and simple care. We're starting by radically improving the $90 billion pet food industry, replacing bags of highly-processed pellets with a personalized subscription service that sends complete and balanced, freshly-made dog food directly to customers' doors. Our ultimate goal is to create innovative, delightful and personalized experiences across all aspects of pet care, and we believe our direct-to-consumer business model, holistic approach to growth, and dynamic culture uniquely position us to shepherd this backwards industry into the future.
What We Stand For and Where You'll Come In
As The Farmer's Dog's VP of Finance, you will be the architect and owner of the company's financial planning engine. You'll design, operate, and continuously improve the end-to-end planning and performance management cycle, ensuring the business has the clarity, insights, and rigor to make the right decisions at the right time.
You'll lead a growing team of finance business partners and work hand-in-hand with leaders across every corner of the company. As a leader in Finance, you'll report directly to the CFO, be a trusted partner to the executive team, and a core contributor to how we operate, grow, and create value.
One Team: We don't think of ourselves as “Acquisition Marketers”, “Engineers”, “Data Analysts”, or “Product Managers”.
We Execute For Impact: We don't subscribe to “best practices” or “industry KPIs”. We're uninterested in how we compare to “benchmarks”; instead we orient ourselves around being the best we can possibly be.
Lead and evolve the company-wide planning process
Build and execute the full financial planning cycle, including annual planning, monthly/quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning.
Own and refine corporate financial planning frameworks that align with strategic priorities.
Leverage new technologies and tools to make our planning process more efficient

Lead a team that works directly with functional owners to understand performance, pressure-test plans, identify risks/opportunities, and influence decision-making. ● Build a deep understanding of every part of the business, becoming a go-to partner for executives.
Drive performance management
Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews with the executive team, framing insights, drivers, trends, and recommendations.
Build mechanisms that ensure accountability, transparency, and forward-looking action across the organization.
Deliver high-impact financial insights
Analyze key initiatives, investments, capital allocation decisions, and productivity programs to guide strategic choices.
Partner with Operations, Marketing and other teams to monitor business health.
Own critical company communications
Prepare materials for the Board, Audit Committee, investors, and other external stakeholders.
Support M&A and strategic initiative evaluations with financial modeling and structured analysis.
Build for scale
Lead the implementation and optimization of FP&A systems/tools (e.g., Corporate Model, Planning technology).
Develop processes, reporting, and analytics that support a growing, increasingly complex business.
We're Excited About You Because
You bring 12+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or high-growth operating environments.
You have deep expertise in financial planning, business partnering, forecasting, and 3-statement modeling.
You have omnichannel consumer products experience
You're both detail-oriented and big-picture-minded - equally comfortable discussing drivers in a model and debating long-term strategy.
You've directly supported senior executives and know how to communicate clearly, influence decisions, and create clarity.
You thrive in fast-paced, scaling organizations and can build processes from scratch without over-engineering them.
You're a strong people leader who can elevate a team, develop talent, and build a best-in-class FP&A function.
You're a proactive problem-solver with excellent judgment, high ownership, and a bias toward action.
You love dogs
Office Guidelines
We are an in-office culture, made of in-office people who thrive on the collaboration and magnetism of working in a shared space. We are seeking individuals who excel in this type of environment, where being present fosters deeper connections and engagement.
Our Belonging Philosophy:
At TFD, we believe Belonging is a shared commitment to creating a workplace where every person feels respected, valued, and empowered to be themselves. When people feel a true sense of belonging, they do their best work, take smart risks, and bring forward diverse perspectives - leading to stronger decisions and deeper relationships.
We anchor this belief in a simple phrase: “Everyone's welcome at the dog park.” No matter your background, identity, or role, there's space for you here.

We anchor this belief in a simple phrase: “Everyone's welcome at the dog park.” No matter your background, identity, or role, there's space for you here.

What We Stand For and Where You'll Come In
As a Senior Product Designer 1 on the Conversion & Acquisition team, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of products that help potential customers discover, understand, and become customers of The Farmer's Dog.
We Execute For Impact: We don't subscribe to “best practices” or “industry KPIs”. We're uninterested in how we compare to “benchmarks”; instead we orient ourselves around being the best we can possibly be.
Lead the design of early customer experiences, from first impression through decision-making, using service design principles to shape how people discover, understand, and consider The Farmer's Dog.
Develop and communicate a clear point of view on what we're building and why, aligning pawds around design strategy and customer goals across digital and physical surfaces.
Use customer psychology, storytelling, and systems thinking to create persuasive, emotionally resonant experiences across multiple touchpoints including site, email, SMS, and customer support.
Prototype quickly to test, validate, and evolve ideas, gathering feedback through both qualitative and quantitative research and bringing others along in your process.
Build scalable systems that account for edge cases, complexity, and business constraints while maintaining a high bar for craft, usability, and cohesion.
Collaborate closely with Conversion & Acquisition, engineering, brand, and content partners, advocating for design with clarity, empathy, and strategic influence.
Contribute to and evolve our design system with a sharp eye for detail, identifying opportunities to refine, automate, and improve how we work.
Mentor and support other designers by modeling strong design thinking, sharing feedback generously, and raising the bar for quality and consistency.
Bring structure to ambiguity by organizing workshops, creating alignment artifacts, and guiding projects through uncertainty toward clear, actionable outcomes.
Prioritize work that drives impact by helping prospective customers make confident decisions that are right for their dog and right for the business.
We're Excited About You Because
You have 7+ years of experience designing customer-facing products, ideally in environments where education and conversion are key.
You think in systems and services, not just screens, and have a track record of designing cohesive journeys across channels and customer states.
You combine strategic thinking with exceptional craft, designing with precision at both the conceptual and visual levels.
You have a deep understanding of customer behavior and psychology, and use it to create persuasive, human-centered solutions that build trust and clarity.
You know how to bring teams together by aligning partners across product, engineering, brand, and customer support with clarity and intention.
You are fluent in tools like Figma and experienced with prototyping, research, testing, and analytics, using data to shape and measure your work.
You are a proactive communicator, a thoughtful collaborator, and an effective facilitator who can navigate ambiguity with confidence.
You care about mentoring and sharing your thinking to help others grow and elevate the overall design culture.
You think critically about how we work and actively contribute to improving process, systems, and design operations.
And of course, you love dogs.

In support of this we're committed to supporting a diverse workforce, and investing in internal structures, opportunities, and training that create and sustain an inclusive team. New York, NY job
About The Role:
Little Spoon is looking for an experienced Associate Director, Product Management (Growth) to join our high performing product management team. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for building new products and features which fuel Little Spoon's new customer acquisition by delivering an exceptional customer experience and establishing growth loops that drive sustainable compounding growth. You will act as the single threaded leader for Little Spoon's acquisition pod, develop a robust product vision and roadmap, and execute that roadmap with dedicated design and software engineering resources while partnering with a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders across marketing, operations, data science, analytics, finance, and product development.
What You'll Do:
Define a long-term vision for Little Spoon's DTC e-commerce platform and develop a clear roadmap of prioritized features and initiatives that deliver against that vision.
Develop clear product requirements and specifications and work directly with software engineers, product designers, and data scientists to turn good specs into intuitive, working products.
Partner with UX Research and UX Design to conduct casual conversations with customers and formal research studies to uncover core customer problems impeding new customer growth.
Rapidly prototype new ideas using cutting-edge AI tools (e.g., LLMs and generative UX tools) to explore concepts, validate direction, and accelerate iteration cycles.
Develop and implement an instrumentation strategy which enables you to form a robust understanding of how customers engage with your product and unlock actionable insights.
Build and execute an experimentation roadmap. Design experiments, define primary and secondary metrics, activation logic, test duration, and success criteria. Analyze and share results with key stakeholders.
Propose, build, and launch net-new customer acquisition programs and products from scratch.
Manage relationships with a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders including marketing, analytics, product development, operations, finance, customer service, and C-Suite leaders.
What You'll Need:
7+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years of Product Management experience delivering successful and innovative consumer facing products with your fingerprints all over them. You should be familiar with systems thinking, analytics and experiment design, and have a solid understanding of software development processes and concepts.
Customer obsession. A track record of starting from the ideal customer experience and working backwards to make it a reality. You have plenty of examples of times you personally identified important customer problems by conducting customer research through formal studies and casual conversations with customers.
Familiarity with the Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) framework, experience applying this framework to uncover actionable insights, and a track record of turning those actionable insights into meaningful business outcomes.
A deep fluency with data. You are comfortable with basic concepts of statistics and probability, have experience instrumenting and analyzing clickstream analytics, and a track record of turning data analysis into actionable insights to drive meaningful outcomes for the business.
A passion and sense for simple, intuitive, and elegant product design.
A bias for action. You value calculated risk. You understand that execution pays for ideation and you don't confuse activity with progress. You persevere when faced with ambiguity or setbacks and you never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.
Extremely high standards across the board. You're used to pushing back when others tell you “it's good enough” and you have an insatiable desire to improve.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You've been complimented on your ability to write a crisp PRD. You're a highly skilled storyteller who can confidently communicate your vision and the potential upside of that vision to your peers and senior leaders.
You're comfortable making the decision to pivot or persevere. There can be immense pressure to frequently change priorities and direction in a start-up. You're open-minded enough to pivot when it's the right decision for the business but disciplined and courageous enough to push back and say no when it's not.
Confidence collaborating with teams across multiple time zones (we're remote-friendly, with a preference for NYC-based candidates who can join us in a flexible hybrid capacity).
Nice to Have:
Experience as a founder or entrepreneur. You've led a business and you're comfortable owning and optimizing business metrics.

What We Stand For and Where You'll Come In
As the Accounting Manager, Inventory and COGS, you will own the financial integrity of our inventory and cost of goods sold across the business. You'll lead monthly close processes, manage and improve controls, and partner closely with Operations, FP&A, and third-party logistics providers to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of inventory and COGS in our ERP system. You'll oversee key processes like purchase accruals, inventory movements, and costing methodologies, while identifying opportunities to improve and standardize inventory and COGS accounting across locations. This role will play a key leadership role within Accounting and Finance more broadly, helping drive scalable solutions that support our rapid growth and set up the business for long-term success.
One Team: We don't think of ourselves as “Acquisition Marketers”, “Engineers”, “Data Analysts”, or “Product Managers”.
We Execute For Impact: We don't subscribe to “best practices” or “industry KPIs”. We're uninterested in how we compare to “benchmarks”; instead we orient ourselves around being the best we can possibly be.
Lead the monthly close process for inventory and COGS, including journal entries, reconciliations, and internal reporting
Ensure accurate inventory costing and valuation, including landed cost, freight, duties, variances, and other COGS components
Own the inventory subledger and ensure alignment with the general ledger
Oversee purchase accrual processes and work with Procurement and AP to ensure accuracy and completeness
Build, manage, mentor and lead the Inventory Accounting group, including thoughtful hiring, onboarding, coaching, and continuous feedback
Monitor and analyze inventory movements, including in-transit, consignment, write-offs, and returns, and ensure appropriate accounting treatment
Drive process improvements related to inventory and COGS accounting, including documentation of policies and procedures
Partner with FP&A and Operations to provide timely and accurate analysis of COGS trends and inventory balances along with insights and reporting regarding inventory and margin drivers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to implement inventory reporting tools and automation in our ERP
Support the annual financial audit, including the preparation of spreadsheets or reports that support the financial statement numbers (e.g., inventory balances, COGS breakdown, inventory adjustments) and responses related to inventory and COGS
Support physical inventory and cycle count processes and ensure results are reflected properly and timely in financial statements
We're Excited About You Because
You have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in inventory and/or COGS accounting and 1+ years of people management experience
You bring a strong mix of technical accounting knowledge and operational mindset
You've led or audited month-end close processes and are comfortable owning a complex area of the P&L and balance sheet
You're detail-oriented but also able to step back and see the big picture
You're comfortable working in ERP systems-NetSuite experience is a plus
You have a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and aren't afraid to challenge the status quo
You are able to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, naturally curious and proactive self-starter, constantly on the lookout for new opportunities and solutions
You're an owner, have excellent problem-solving skills and can prioritize tasks effectively
You thrive as a self-starter and excel in managing multiple projects simultaneously
You're a skilled communicator and have the ability to absorb and distill complexity into simple terms to drive decision making.
You love dogs.

You'll have the opportunity to build upon our existing foundation to take the foundation we have in place today and evolve it effectively with the business to ensure we continue to design seamless and deeply personalized experiences in the box journey..
In the role, you'll partner closely with groups across the business in Product, Engineering, CX, Operations, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Scientists and other Analysts to build a best-in-class experiment design and insight generation engine.
We need a leader who can share an inspiring vision, execute by bringing everyone on to the execution path, bring clarity and momentum and work with internal and external partners to remove blindspots in product journey to customer. This is the competitive edge for DTC business. This helps build feedback loops to what future products to launch, calibrate existing recipes, personalize fulfillment, identify margin opportunities and improve stickiness of our product with customers. As we continue to grow operationally for new products, product lines, etc. we'd need more strategic leadership to understand intricacies and nuances with external partners as well
One Team: We don't think of ourselves as “Supply Chain Specialists”, “Engineers”, “Data Analysts”, or “Product Managers”.
We Execute For Impact: We don't subscribe to “best practices” or “industry KPIs”. We're uninterested in how we compare to “benchmarks”; instead we orient ourselves around being the best we can possibly be.
