**Summary**
The Labor and EmployeeRelations Senior Manager serves as a strategic partner to the HR Business Partnership team and business leaders, in coordination with the Senior Director of Labor and EmployeeRelations and Legal department, to manage the labor and employeerelations activities across the organization. The role will provide guidance, support, and direction to the HR Business Partnership team and business leaders in the areas of employeerelations, union-managementrelations, collective bargaining, and labor laws and perform routine-to-highly complex workplace investigations.
This role supports the Legal Team and is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring 2-3 days in-office/ at show site based out of one of the following locations:

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Develop effective relationships with the HR Business Partnership team to promote positive employeerelations throughout the organization and ensure a high level of employee satisfaction and engagement.
+ Partner with the HR Business Partnership team in conducting investigations and provide guidance to facilitate prompt and effective resolution of workplace concerns.
+ Conduct routine-to-highly complex investigations in response to a range of employeerelations concerns, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace violence, and other violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
+ Communicate regularly regarding pending investigations and provide timely investigation reports with supporting documentation for all completed investigations.
+ Work collaboratively with business leaders and union partners to guide the timely and effective resolution of grievances and potential arbitrations to ensure consistency in decision-making and outcomes to reduce potential liability for the company.
+ Analyze collective bargaining agreements and develop interpretation of intent, spirit, and terms of the contract to guide management in the development and application of labor relations policies and practices.
+ Partner with business leaders in labor contract negotiations and/or serve as a resource to negotiators by providing information on provisions of the collective bargaining agreement and the significance of proposed changes.
+ Design and deliver labor and employeerelations focused training and materials.
+ Responsible for tracking and updating data across various platforms and databases, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of information.
+ Collaborate with Finance/Payroll to manage labor costs, benefits, and payroll administration.
+ Analyze labor and employeerelations trends to develop proactive strategies, solutions, programs, and policies.
+ Assist with the preparation and response to federal and state administrative charges (i.e., EEOC, NLRB, etc.).
+ Participate in projects led by the Legal team, as needed.
**Education & Experience**
+ Bachelor's Degree in business administration, human resources, or related field or equivalent experience.
+ Five (5) years of experience in human resources or operations management environment with a strong preference for specific experience in labor relations and dispute resolution processes.
+ Experience working with small to large union groups.
+ Strong investigation skills.
+ Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply provisions of collective bargaining agreements effectively.
+ Knowledge of grievance and arbitration procedures related to collective bargaining agreements.
+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills that establish collaborative working relationships.
+ Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
+ Ability to compile and analyze complex data.
+ Current knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as Kronos and SAP.
**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations**
SHRM Certified Professional (PHR) or Senior Professional (SPHR) preferred.
**Travel Requirements**
Travel up to 25%

Human Resources Manager Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, SPHR) preferred
Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within a high-growth or fast-paced organization
Strong knowledge of employment law, payroll compliance, and HR best practices
Demonstrated success in talent acquisition, performance management, and organizational development

The HR Integration & HCM Operating Model Lead is responsible for leading the Human Resources workstream across healthcare mergers, acquisitions, and ERP integration initiatives. This role plays a critical leadership function throughout the full transaction lifecycle-supporting HR due diligence, Day 1 readiness, and post-merger stabilization-while ensuring workforce continuity, compliance, and alignment with strategic objectives.
In addition to M&A integration responsibilities, this role owns the Human Capital Management (HCM) operating model workstream within an ERP implementation, with direct oversight of payroll, compensation (including premium pay structures), and learning functions. The successful candidate brings deep healthcare system experience,
executive presence, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
Key Responsibilities
M&A HR Integration Leadership
Align HR integration strategy with transaction rationale, synergy targets, and overall integration goals.
Lead HR due diligence activities, including assessment of workforce risks, compliance requirements, benefits, policies, and labor considerations.
Evaluate talent, organizational design, workforce redundancies, and capability gaps across merging entities.
Drive compensation and benefits harmonization to ensure equity, compliance, and retention across hospitals and health systems.
Execute Day 1 readiness and post-merger stabilization plans to minimize workforce disruption.
HCM Operating Model & ERP Leadership
Own the design and execution of the HCM operating model within an ERP implementation.
Provide oversight and strategic direction for payroll, compensation (including premium pay), and learning functions.
Partner with functional leaders to ensure system design aligns with healthcare operational realities and regulatory requirements.
Support system deployment, change management, and post-implementation optimization.
Experience with Workday or similar HCM platforms strongly preferred.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
Serve as a senior, client-facing leader interfacing with executives, boards, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Provide clear, confident guidance in complex decision-making environments.
Supervise, coach, and mentor team members across multiple HR workstreams.

Ideal Background & Qualifications
Director or Senior Director-level experience in HR M&A, HR consulting, HR operations, or closely related roles.
Mandatory experience within healthcare systems or hospital environments.
