Regional Sales Associate

The Regional Sink & Spout Sales Associate, is a very important position that will allow our Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Showrooms in Southeastern New Hampshire, to remain open at proper Staffing levels on busier days and during planned vacations, last minute sick days or other unplanned absences. Extreme flexibility will be required of the proper candidate, to go where needed to best serve our customers while always keeping our Showrooms open during their scheduled times. A normal 5-day work week will include scheduling at more than one Showroom location. A typical week might include working in Rochester on Friday & Saturday, and Portsmouth on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This typical week would be modified by the Showroom Sales Director to cover vacations and sick days that would include our Exeter Showroom. While unusual, the Regional Sales Associate could be asked to cover at other locations as needed.
The Sink & Spout Regional Sales Associate will be an exempt, salaried position with defined quarterly sales and profit objectives. This important position will have a strong Salary component with a smaller quarterly commission opportunity to recognize that it will be very difficult to build a reoccurring book of business while covering multiple showrooms. This is a full-time position with hours that will include evenings and/or weekends.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Greet visitors by phone and in person in a friendly, professional manner.
Develop knowledge and expertise on all the products and lines displayed in the store as well as industry trends.
Learn and practice excellent sales and customer service skills.
Be mindful of the store s sales goals, profit goals, and the products that can best help achieve them.
Support the Showrooms full-time Salespeople on their days off, or when they are with other customers.
Learn the pricing structure for different customer types.
Become proficient with CSD, the company s order entry and inventory system.
Generate sales by meeting with and selling to Sink & Spout customers: plumbing contractors, builders & remodelers, designers, architects and their homeowners.
Promptly prepare and distribute quotes to all involved in a project (homeowner, contractor, etc.)
Learn Specbook software; prepare and maintain Specbooks for customers.
Follow up on all quotes in a timely manner until a sales order is closed or rejected.
Work collaboratively with the contractor/builder/etc. to help ensure the project runs smoothly and on time.
Proactively keep the customer apprised of the status of their order.
Develop a network of repeat customers, particularly within the trades.
Participate in meetings, marketing events and training events, both live and virtual, offered by the company and/or product vendors.
Help keep the interior store environment (including desk area) and product literature complete, clean, neat and attractive.
Help monitor exterior storefront to ensure it is neat and tidy, e.g. windows, doors, sidewalks, plantings.
