The Greenery history
The Greenery company history timeline
The Greenery began in January, 1985 with Cook’s Farm, Home and Garden Center in Park Hall, Maryland, offering plants and gardening supplies as well as animal feed and farming materials.
In 1996, nine fruit and vegetable auctions decided to join forces with the Central Bureau for Horticulture Auctions (CBT). The merger was mainly prompted by the rapid increase in scale on the demand side.
In 1996, this new cooperative launched The Greenery BV as a marketing and sales organisation.
Around 2003, The Greenery, Inc. founder, Berry Edwards, was ready to retire and looking for an exit strategy that would also reward the dedicated employees that helped The Greenery become so successful.
The old church building had served the organization well as an office space, but the company had definitely outgrown it by 2005.
The summer of 2016 is an exciting time at The Greenery, the well-known skilled nursing facility that has been providing excellence in long term care, complex care and rehabilitation for residents of Canonsburg and the tri-state region for over 30 years.
