As the teacher, you will lead a team supported by an exceptional 2:3 staff-to-student ratio. Enter employee information and work schedules, vacation, and changes into integrated time and attendance system.
Processes nursing department payroll utilizing integrated time and attendance system, validating all worked and non-worked hours to assure accuracy.
Prepare monthly work schedules and ensures compliance with company and industry labor requirements.
Research questions pertaining to payroll and provides support to resolve payroll issues with department management.
Contact nursing unit management as necessary to investigate and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Prepare and maintain related records of activities. Will provide new hire orientation regarding the payroll process, nursing scheduling system, department policies and procedures.
Perform other clerical activities such as daily paperwork, filing, maintaining, and updating manuals, preparing reports, distributing payroll time sheets and payroll advice, etc.
Qualifications for a Scheduling Manager:
Proficiency using MS Office Suite
Proficient typing/keyboarding
Organizational and analytical skills relevant to scheduling.
HS Diploma
1+ year experience scheduling or experience in a related area, medical terminology, or related experience in a health care setting
Experience with long term care scheduling

Job Summary
The capstone student must complete 14 weeks (full-time) towards their capstone experience. Students draw on their self-directed learning skills to develop and implement an action plan with guidance from an expert in the field (capstone mentor). It is the student's responsibility to track their hours and make up time missed due to holidays or absences.
Job Responsibilities
The capstone student is responsible for all elements of the design, development, implementation and evaluation of the capstone project and experience. The onus is on the student to meet the agreed upon objectives for the capstone project and experience. OTD students are responsible for:
• Understanding and following all Duke OTD academic policies and procedures related to the capstone as outlined in the student and capstone handbooks.
• Reflecting on the impact of systemic issues on occupation in the area of focus.
• Completing Capstone I and Capstone II assignments with a minimum grade of a pass.
• Articulating personal and professional goals related to the capstone project and experience.
• Working with the capstone coordinator to identify potential sites and mentors.
• Designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the culminating OTD capstone project and experience.
• Planning the logistics of the capstone experience (i.e. transportation, lodging, travel documents).
• Meeting all capstone documentation and compliance requirements specific to student projects and sites (i.e. MOU forms, evidence of capstone mentor expertise, hour logs, site compliances).
• Demonstrating synthesis of in-depth knowledge of the Duke OTD curriculum.
• Completing a 14-week capstone experience
• Engaging in self-directed learning.
• Seeking and implementing constructive feedback to support professional growth.
• Taking responsibility for one's own learning and professional development.
