The Small Commercial Senior Sales Rep candidate will work with existing and prospective Independent Agencies to develop profitable business and sources of new business. The Small Commercial Sales Representative will be responsible for the building and execution of an effective Agency Management sales plan to achieve maximum production and profit goals in assigned territory.
Responsibilities
Personal meetings and telephone contact with agents, meeting or exceeding sales objectives in growth, and a mix of business and renewal retention in assigned territories.
Management of the territory, including compiling and evaluating competitor products, rates and activities and offer appropriate recommendations.
Maintaining a current knowledge of underwriting territory, including source and nature of agents' business.
Maintaining sales administration responsibilities through timely reporting and expense management.
Creates demand and enables agents/producers to maximize the flow of desirable business to meet or exceed Hartford financial goals in the territory
Follows disciplined sales process and ensures consistent execution of Sales Excellence principles.
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of an assigned territory, including the right number and mix of agents/producers who have the market opportunity to meet Sales Rep territorial financial objectives.
Possesses a deep knowledge of industry practices, market conditions and competitor information to position the agency to maximize business development. Align Hartford strategies and support (tools, initiatives, resources) to continually increase market share.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with agents/producers in an assigned territory to meet or exceed the financial objectives for that territory.
Enables agents/producers to maximize their revenue through the sale of Hartford products and services by providing tools and information that differentiates The Hartford and its overall value proposition from competitors.
Exercises discipline and focus around flow management to ensure adequate flow and acceptable mix of business to meet agency and company growth and profit objectives.
Creates call plans to prioritize and leverage agency contact and activity to ensure sustainable flow of desired business.
Builds actionable Agency Sales Plans that align with Hartford financial objectives for growth, retention and profit. Utilize data tools to monitor plan results, communicate, and implement actions.
Qualifications:
5+ years of P&C Small Commercial sales and marketing experience, product knowledge and sales skills are required; underwriting knowledge is beneficial. Candidates lacking this experience may be considered for an alternate titled position.
Proven outstanding sales performance; should be a highly driven and self-motivated individual with a strong desire to win.
Experience with Agency training.
Technologically savvy (e.g. Microsoft tools such as SalesForce, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Overview of the Position
The position is part of the Global Specialty US Actuarial pricing team supporting the Financial Lines book of business. This role supports this segment's success as the Assistant Director & Actuarial Associate for Public D&O, Financial Institutions, and Transactional Liability business. The position will work in close partnership with our Underwriting Divisions as well as Finance, Claims, and IT departments.
Responsibilities
As a key member of the Global Specialty Actuarial team, this individual will perform a variety of actuarial functions including rate development, price monitoring, loss ratio planning, profitability studies and rate filing support where applicable. This person will also assist with semi-annual reserve studies.
We seek a candidate with strong statistical, analytical and communication skills, who is eager to challenge and continuously improve established processes and creatively solve new problems.

Pricing
+ Assist in the development, enhancement and maintenance of actuarial pricing methodologies and tools used by the Underwriting and Product teams. This includes tools focusing on risk segmentation as well as the development of account-specific indicated premium.
+ Identify and analyze critical pricing and profitability benchmarks.

What Is the Opportunity?
National Accounts provides casualty solutions for clients with significant risk with coverages such as Workers' Compensation, General and Product Liability, as well as Commercial Automobile Liability. The Account Executive Officer (AEO), National Accounts will partner with agents, brokers, and customers to provide guaranteed cost and loss sensitive coverage for new and renewal business based on customers' needs. This role is seen as a technical resource. As an AEO, you are decisive, detail-oriented, and know how to build relationships internally and externally to drive results. Your ability to independently assess complex risk and sell our products in challenging markets will contribute to the profitability and success of Travelers.
What Will You Do?
* Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
* Underwrite and skillfully negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.

What Is the Opportunity?
Reports to Field Manager, Boiler and Machinery. Responsible for managing delivery of Boiler and Machinery Risk Control services to large account and special risk clients country-wide. Works with underwriters and business partners to help acquire and retain profitable business. Provides technical advice and account information to aid in risk selection and pricing. What Will You Do?

* Serve as resource to business partners in development of insurance deal and account retention strategies.

What Is the Opportunity?
Bond & Specialty Insurance (BSI) provides management and professional liability, cyber, crime insurance, and surety bonds to or on behalf of businesses of all sizes. The BSI Claim Counsel team conducts thorough investigation, analysis, evaluation, and disposition of claims and claim litigation to achieve superior customer service and to optimize claim results. Travelers' PNP Programs Team provides coverage for Community Associations, Healthcare Institutions and Providers, Managed Care Organizations, Life and Health Underwriters and Public Adjusters. * Follow operational policies to analyze, investigate, and resolve BSI claims of varying levels of severity with moderate supervision from claims management.
* Prepare and present reports for management that accurately reflect loss development, potential/actual financial exposure, reserve adjustments, coverage issues, and claim and recovery strategies.
* Retain, monitor, and manage outside counsel actively utilizing litigation management plans and budgets.
* Communicate with underwriting on significant claim exposures.
* Continue to develop the ability to identify all recovery opportunities and coordinate recovery efforts with the Recovery Management Unit and Claim management.
* Travel to and attend mediations, settlement conferences, claim conferences, field office visits, trials and depositions.

**What Is the Opportunity?**
Bond & Specialty Insurance (BSI) provides management and professional liability, cyber, crime insurance, and surety bonds to or on behalf of businesses of all sizes. The BSI Claim Counsel team conducts thorough investigation, analysis, evaluation, and disposition of claims and claim litigation to achieve superior customer service and to optimize claim results. Travelers' PNP Programs Team provides coverage for Community Associations, Healthcare Institutions and Providers, Managed Care Organizations, Life and Health Underwriters and Public Adjusters.
