Our ideal candidate will leverage deep Agile expertise and skills to deliver both invest and maintenance projects within the Data & Analytics Value stream.
This role will have a
Hybrid work schedule,
with the expectation of working in an office (Danbury, CT or Hartford, CT) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Responsibilities:
Facilitate all the Agile/SCRUM ceremonies - DSU's, Sprint planning, Sprint reviews, Retrospective/Sprint demos.
Partners with the Product Owner, IT Delivery Lead and Business leadership to form execution delivery plans and manage progress and facilitates release planning.
Organizes and facilitates ceremonies, identifies improvement opportunities to optimize velocity and quality while mitigating risk.
Reports to Release Train Engineer and works closely with the RTE for overall delivery of Agile release train PI objectives.
Partners with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team
Tracks and communicates the overall team progress providing visibility to stakeholders.
Serves as a filter to remove impediments to progress as identified by the team.
Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
Motivate the team to be disciplined and accountable for ensuring the Agile tools(Rally/JIRA) hygiene is maintained.
Qualifications:
3+ years' experience working and managing Agile team structures (Scrum/Kanban). Experience with SAFe is a plus.
Strong knowledge and experience working with Agile reports/Metrics.
Experience working with PO in backlog grooming/refinements.
Experience in participating in Program increment (PI Planning).
Experience in Estimation and Story pointing.
Experience in Team Planning- Capacity/velocity.
Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict.
Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills and ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across teams.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction.
Scrum Master certification preferred.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge on Data assets including Snowflake, SQL Server, Tableau, or similar data assets.
Property & Casualty insurance industry experience.

Program Director, Global Reinsurance

The Hartford is seeking a highly skilled Small Business Underwriter, who is responsible for the following:
+ Underwriting all commercial lines, including Business Owner's Policy (BOP), Commercial Automobile, and Workers' Compensation and Umbrella.
