This position drives profitable growth for The Hartford's $3 billion portfolio of Auto and Home products by analyzing and evaluating actuarial pricing performance at the state level, providing action-oriented solutions to Pricing and Product Management leadership, and supporting our rate filing process. We are looking for someone with strong statistical, analytical and communication skills, with a desire to challenge and continuously improve established processes and to creatively solve new problems.
Responsibilities
+ Independently develop key state performance metrics-including rate indications, trends, loss development patterns, and catastrophe loads-to support rate filings, performance monitoring, and profitability or ad hoc analyses.
+ Effectively communicate to secure internal and external approval for proposed changes.
+ Create and improve analytical tools utilizing knowledge of analytical and technical skills.
+ Develop and maintain strong partnerships with countrywide and state product management, technology, operations, data science, actuarial, compliance and legal organizations.
+ Participate in countrywide projects, class plan enhancements or maintenance of complex product features.
+ Work as a team to continuously improve the analytical capabilities of the organization, including data capabilities and increased automation, documentation, and quality measures.
+ May review pricing methodology for the department of insurance consideration
Experience & Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree required.
+ 3+ years of relevant experience in the insurance sector. Familiarity with Personal Lines products preferred.
+ Near ACAS or FCAS credential, or individuals with experience not pursuing exams.
+ Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively resolve complex issues.
+ Strong Excel skills required. Knowledge of SQL, VBA, R, Python, SAS or similar code languages preferred.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Attention to detail with strong time and project management skills.
+ Driven, intellectually curious, passionate, resourceful and creative.

Additional Information:
This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of the Hartford home office locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

The Hartford's Enterprise Mobile app team is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven Senior Mobile Developer/Tech Lead to support Invest and Maintenance projects. This role involves working with all business lines to integrate each line of business into the app.
This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Receives and responds to incoming calls from investment professionals, plan sponsors and members on a variety of topics. Understands the different product suites, including current line-up and products no longer sold that still require servicing.
Responsible for interpreting and applying all changes and enhancements to new and old products, based on the daily change communications. Identifies the question(s) behind the question to proactively offer consultative expertise and uncover the unstated need.
Maintains a record of the conversations and follows a process of documentation to support our strategy of knowing our member better than anyone and use the information in a way that drives the relationship deeper.
Follows all rules and regulations to ensure compliance with FINRA or other professional licensure requirements, Nationwide policies, firms, plan documents and state and local laws.
Educates customers to ensure understanding of tax implications, penalties/surrender charges, death benefit protection, lifetime income, capital preservation and/or benefits pertaining to the plan/contract.
Analyzes problems to determine proper course of action, striving for first time final resolution. When necessary, works with internal partners to resolve escalated issues. Integrates lean methodology into daily interactions through problem-solving meetings and team huddles.
Develops and grows through monthly individual meetings with leadership to set in place a career path strategy. Setting goals and expectations to achieve success in the role as well as future opportunities.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Supervisor/Manager and does not have direct reports.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Undergraduate degree in finance, business administration, insurance, economics, communications preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: ChFC, CLU, other industry designations desirable FINRA series 6 and/or 26 licenses preferred and may be required based on assigned product/line-of-business or distribution system.
Associates must acquire the required federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit. Additional licenses/registrations may be required when new products and services are implemented. If an associate fails to acquire required licenses/registrations within the designated time period, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position. NOTE: A credit check may be required if a license is required for this position.
Experience: One year of experience in customer service, sales related occupations.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge of various insurance products and the sales process. Solid understanding of the state and local laws necessary to understand the legal implications of certain product features in different states. Understands the consequences of not following the FINRA rules and regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with others. Proficiency with computers and common office software. Ability to understand general aspects of plan/contract and utilizes technology to enhance conversations with customers.

Our Risk Engineering Organization is currently seeking a Sr. Industrial Hygiene Consultant to support the Southeast Regions. Remote position; travel may include both car and air travel, estimated at 20%-40%.
This role is responsible for conducting Industrial Hygiene workplace evaluations for policy holders and fee-based customers as part of a comprehensive Risk Engineering service plan with targeted exposure evaluation and /or exposure reduction activities. Identify and analyze exposures and develop engineering solutions to mitigate risk through partnership with the customer.
Responsibilities:
+ Conduct onsite and/or virtual exposure assessments to identify potential occupational health exposures and develop an appropriate industrial hygiene air/noise monitoring strategy.
+ Conduct onsite air/noise monitoring survey at customer locations making recommendations as appropriate.
+ Develop and deliver meaningful service to customers with engineering solutions to reduce or eliminate exposures.
+ Provide Virtual IH Technical Consultation to customers through Microsoft Teams meetings.
+ Develop effective relationships with National Account Managers, field Risk Engineering Consultants (REC, Claims and Brokers to develop a valuable Industrial Hygiene service plan for customers.
+ Collaborate continually with the RE IH Laboratory to assist customers with self-sampling and interpretation of laboratory analytical reports.
+ Develop and/or enhance client expertise and knowledge related to Industrial Hygiene through virtual and/or onsite basic industrial hygiene skills training.
+ Create Industrial Hygiene Technical Reports in a timely manner for the policyholders and internal business partners
+ Clearly communicate a summary of the consultation provided, including reasonable, appropriate recommendations.
+ Achieve monthly production goals including number of visits and hours.
+ Provide IH consultation, coaching and mentorship to internal business partners including, regional Risk Engineering (RE) field consultants, National Account managers, Underwriters and Claims.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from a four-year college or university and 3+ years of Industrial Hygiene consultation in either insurance loss prevention, Industrial Hygiene consulting or general industry is required, with an academic focus on Occupational Safety and Health or Public Health.
+ Master of Science (M.S.) or Master of Arts (M.A.) in Public Heath, Industrial Hygiene or Occupational Health and Safety preferred with at least 5+ years of experience in industrial hygiene or occupational health related field highly preferred
+ Willingness to travel 50% of the time; both local and overnight required. Ability to travel over for work via air, rail, or automobile.
+ High degree of technical skills with strong consultative skills and ability to deliver results efficiently and effectively in a timely manner.
+ Must have and maintain a Certified Industrial Hygiene (CIH) designation in Comprehensive Practice and/or be capable of sitting for the CIH exam within 2-3 years of Saas qualified to sit for the exam based on education and experience.
+ Ability to operate a motor vehicle, climb stairs, stand and walk-through customer buildings and facilities to a significant degree. Stooping and bending is also required for this job.
+ Lifting 40 lbs. maximum with some lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 20 lbs.

Robust understanding of Application Security Standard and Frameworks (OWASP Top 10, OWASP SAMM, BSIMM, NIST SSDF, etc.)
Familiarity with application security testing tools (SAST/DAST/SCA/Containers) and Web Application Firewall (WAF)
Familiarity with Agile Workflows and Software Development Process (SDLC)
Strong relationship management skills and ability to engage business partners across the enterprise.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $138,230.00 - $264,200.00.

We are looking for a highly motivated and service-oriented individual to join our Multi-line Damage team as a Multi-line Adjuster! As an ambassador for GEICO's renowned customer service, you will work in a dynamic environment that may include repair shops, salvage yards, and customer's homes. You will be responsible for inspecting damage, estimating cost of repairs, negotiating settlements, issuing payments, and providing excellent customer service. This position primarily will include servicing vessels, motorcycles, RV and other specialty claims.
Qualifications & Skills:
Valid driver's license (must meet company underwriting guidelines for at least the past 3 consecutive years) and the ability to maintain applicable state and federal certifications and permits
Must attain and maintain the required licenses issued by state insurance departments
Willingness to be flexible with primary work location
Solid computer, mechanical aptitude, and multi-tasking skills
Effective attention to detail and decision-making skills
Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, and willingness to expand on these abilities
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, college degree or currently pursuing preferred
Requirements:
Experience appraising Vessels - 2 years minimum
Preferred experience appraising motorcycles and RV's
Strong Customer Service skills - Ability to interact with customers and repair facilities
Must be able to obtain/qualify for Rhode Island all line adjusters license
Annual Salary
$32.05 - $57.49
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
