This position includes controlling all ramp operations within the intermodal terminal ensuring trains are received. We are seeking an aggressive, forward-thinking and highly motivated candidate to work in a fast paced environment. Schedule: 6:00pm to 6:00am - 3 days on 3 days off (Including weekends and holidays) Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Manage the day-to-day operations of the intermodal ramp, ensuring efficient and safe handling of containers, equipment, and vehicles while focusing on safety, performance & productivity. Lead and mentor a team of ramp personnel. Provide guidance, support, and training to enhance their performance and professional growth. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Promote a culture of safety, conduct safety training sessions, and enforce safety protocols Efficiently allocate manpower, equipment, and resources to meet operational requirements. Monitor and adjust staffing levels based on workload and demand fluctuations. Regularly monitor and evaluate KPI's to assess ramp productivity, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures to meet or exceed performance targets. Maintain accurate records, generate reports, and document daily ramp activities, ensuring data integrity and providing insights for management decision-making. Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains. Implement initiatives to streamline ramp operations, reduce turnaround times, and enhance overall operational performance. The ideal candidate should possess the following: Experience in ramp operations, specific to the intermodal transportation industry Willingness to work in varying weather condition Bachelor's or Associate's degree (Preferred) Effective oral and written communication skills Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office

It is the responsibility of the Export Customer Service Representative to ensure all requirements for the booking are complete so it can be handed over to Load Planning. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Communicate effectively to meet customer requirements, resolve customer problems or complaints expeditiously, and complete booking requests timely. Working with the warehouse to ensure all cargo booked has been received prior to cut off. Report any OS&D issues on cargo received to customers, follow up to determine the outcome if the cargo can be shipped, required to be re-packed or collected as it could not be exported. Chase any missing documentation with the customer to ensure all required paperwork is received prior to cut off. Complete booking requests Arrange pick-ups with trucking company Contact shippers and complete bookings for overseas routings received, making sure to send the booking confirmation details to the origin office/agent and continue to communicate on the status of the booking to ensure they are aware that the cargo was uplifted. Determine if the customer requires VLS to complete export customs clearance, if so, correspond with the customs broker (if required) and complete the export entry. Make sure Load Planning is aware of any special requirements on the handling of the cargo.
