In this position an employee is expected to safely operate a forklift or other powered material handling equipment (MHE) to move and stack finished goods and packaging material. Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may be required to perform duties as an order selector, unloader, or loader. Ability to drive electric powered MHE equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, walkie rider, reach truck and ability to operate push pull devices in order to move product, equipment or materials. Operate Stretch Wrapper and Inverter in the Warehouse DC.
The General Warehouse Worker job duties are:
Obtain a J.M. Smucker Forklift Drivers License and demonstrate safe operations of the forklift to include safe travel speeds and conditions.
Keep forklift battery area clean, service batteries and be able to change forklift batteries.
On a daily basis, perform pre-operational inspections of power equipment and record activity on inspection sheet.
Review, understand and follow the operator responsibilities of all JSA's, SOP's, and Safe Practices written for the Warehouse DC.
Adhere to all OSHA standards.
Load, unload, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, walkie rider, or other power equipment.
Receiving/Putaway: Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate areas.
Order Picking: Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
Loading: Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers or containers.
Quality: Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
WMS/Inventory: Utilize warehouse management system to maintain accurate inventory including RF capabilities for every warehouse operation to include; order selection, moves, receiving, loading and cycle counting.
Safety, Housekeeping, Security: Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and other applicable standards. Support and abide by the company's safety program and all safety initiatives. Policies and procedures. Report issues and problems to Management.
Report maintenance issues in a timely manner.
Clean warehouse of all loose debris from the floor and traveling area - immediately.
Communicate with both oncoming and departing shift.
Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate with job tasks and areas

The **Maintenance Technician** will be responsible for the support of production lines, equipment, and the facility. The Topeka, Kansas plant has a Full Time opening for a Technical Lead, Projects-Electrical in the Plant Engineering Team. It is an hourly, non-rotational, technical position with responsibilities to lead the trades and work related to electrical power, controls and instrumentation to support Capital Project execution and equipment installations across all areas of the plant, as well as support the Facility and Operations teams with maintenance and reliability issues
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the manufacture of pet foods and snacks while complying with all food safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
Understand and support company and site safety policies and perform work-related activities in a safe manner. Recognize unsafe working conditions, coach peers and suggest new safety standards as appropriate.
Understand, follow and improve documented operational, maintenance and sanitation standards in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) work environment.
Supervise the electrical trade including daily planning and coordinating resources (equipment, contract labor and plant labor) as related to electrical power, controls and instrumentation to support equipment installations and start-ups in alignment with Operations and Capital Project schedules.
Provide support with supervision of electrical trade for Facility and Operations maintenance and reliability tasks as needed.
Assist in budgeting and procurement of equipment, materials and labor within established project budgets.
Assist with organization and maintenance of plant documentation and drawings related to electrical power and controls.
Provide assistance and support to R&D and TSO for Plant tests in manufacturing and packaging areas.
Support the adherence of NFPA 70e standards for facility.
Lead projects to improve safety, quality or production results in a designated area.
Work as part of a team and assist fellow employees when needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High-school diploma or equivalent is required.
Associates or technical degree or advanced training preferred.
3 years of relevant manufacturing work experience with electrical trades, industrial utilities, process controls and/or instrumentation.
Experience with electrical power distribution, PLC, motor and motion controls, SCADA systems, device and information networks, sensors and instrumentation is preferred.
Experience with AutoCAD 2D or Electrical, SQL database preferred.
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC platform, drives & motion control, HMI, Ethernet/IP preferred.
Previous mechanical/maintenance experience preferred.
Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, GMP's and general instructions.
Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out both oral and written instructions.
Ability to perform critical thinking skills to problem solve and resolve conflicts.

Your Opportunity as an Operations Management Intern
As an intern within our Operations Management team, you'll be a working part of our Plant Logistics team and understand how large-scale operations and logistics teams function in unison. This internship will be a real-life display of not only manufacturing but will also get a front row seat to how all supply chain roles in the enterprise work together to meet the same end goal.

Work Arrangements: 100% On site
In this role you will:
Reconcile inventory transactions, file shipment documentation, and provide support in daily shipment activities.
Support audit requirements as needed by pulling documentation and assist with any corrective actions.
Act as single point of contact for setting daily dock appointments inbound raw materials.
Record raw material receipts in Oracle (purchasing) System as needed to ensure prompt payment.
Create and oversee process for central filing location of certificate of analysis documentation.
Assist the plant procurement team in reviewing daily Material Requirements Reports (MRP) and issuing purchase orders to replenish inventory.
Support an improvement project identified during the co-op term with a final report-out to leadership at the conclusion of the rotation.
Support Logistics team with special projects as needed.
Support Safety and Quality initiatives.
Exposure to many different supply chain and operations computer-based systems.
