Position Summary
The Research Associate Professor will provide strategic leadership, oversight, and coordination of community outreach and engagement efforts across the UI Cancer Center (UICC). This individual will serve as a key advisor to the UICC Director and as an advocate for community-focused initiatives within center-wide planning, decision-making, and scientific development.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Serve as a principal advisor to the UICC Director in all matters related to COE.
* Ensure alignment with Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) requirements, NCI guidelines, and institutional priorities.
* Promote consistency of language, strategy, and documentation across COE components in accordance with CCSG expectations.
* Represent and advocate for COE priorities during UICC planning, resource allocation, and strategic discussions.
* Initiate, lead, and support collaborations across departments and colleges within the University of Illinois Chicago.
* Collaborate with other Associate Directors, program leaders, and faculty to advance UICC's strategic goals.
* Help shape the vision, strategic priorities, and actionable strategies for COE initiatives.
* Monitor, evaluate, and report on progress toward UICC strategic planning goals.
* Provide input into budgeting, resource distribution, and infrastructure planning to support COE.
* Build and maintain partnerships with institutional, local, and national collaborators to elevate UICC's community impact.
* Serve as an active member of the Executive Committee and Cancer Scientific Council.
Minimum Qualifications
* Terminal degree required (PhD, MD, doctorate)
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in discipline, including at least 3 years of demonstrated leadership in research and/or clinical area.
* Must have peer-reviewed funding and/or PI of Clinical Trials, as applicable for specialty/discipline.

Position Summary
The UIC School of Public Health is seeking two full-time instructional faculty to support our newly developed, fully online, asynchronous Master of Public Health (MPH) Generalist Concentration and online, asynchronous Public Health Foundations Certificate Program. Courses are taught in 8-week terms, and faculty are expected to teach 7-8 courses per calendar year, including practicum and capstone teaching/advising. Responsibilities include course development, teaching, student supervision/advising of capstone projects, and participation in concentration-, divisional-, and/or School-level service. At least one position will be responsible for helping students locate and be placed in applied practice experiences (experiential learning sites). Faculty will be at the rank of Lecturer or Instructor (or Senior Lecturer/Instructor) and must meet the following minimum qualifications based on rank.
Minimum Qualifications
Instructor
* Terminal degree (PhD, DrPH, JD, MD, etc.) in a relevant field.
* At least 2 years of prior experience teaching public health courses at the graduate level.
* Experience teaching courses in any of the following disciplines: epidemiology, biostatistics, foundations of public health, health policy and/or law, public health promotion, planning and evaluation, health communications, environmental health, global health, and/or health economics.
* Proven experience teaching in an online environment.
* At least 3 years of demonstrated experience working in public health practice (e.g., academic institutions, governmental public health, public health advocacy, nonprofits).
Lecturer
* A minimum of an MPH or related Master's degree (e.g., MS, MHA, MHS, MSPH).
* At least 1-2 years of prior experience teaching public health courses at the graduate level.
* Experience teaching courses in any of the following disciplines: epidemiology, biostatistics, foundations of public health, health policy and/or law, public health promotion, planning and evaluation, health communications, environmental health, global health, and/or health economics.
* Proven experience teaching in an online environment.
* At least 3 years of demonstrated experience working in public health practice (e.g., academic institutions, governmental public health, public health advocacy, nonprofits).
Preferred Qualifications
* 3 or more years of experience teaching public health at the graduate level.
* Experience serving as a primary instructor of online, asynchronous graduate-level courses within the past 5 years.
* Experience using the Canvas Learning Management System for teaching.
* Experience managing, developing, and implementing online degree courses and/or programs.
* Familiarity and demonstrated experience with developing and teaching MPH courses aligned with the foundational knowledge, foundational competency, and/or concentration competency items from the Council for Education in Public Health (CEPH).
* Experience advising students for public health field experiences and/or capstone projects.
* Received a degree from a CEPH-accredited school or program of public health.
* Experience teaching/advising health professions students (e.g., MD, PharmD, DMD, DNP).
* Proximity to the Chicago area to enable working with UIC instructional designers, in our media development studio, on course material development, student meetings, and college-level service.

The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Neonatology, is seeking full-time general pediatricians to join our multidisciplinary care team at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital NICU as Clinical Associates with renewable terms of up to three years.
Appointees will provide neonatal services at one or more level II nurseries in the University of Chicago Medicine system. These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation is dependent upon qualifications. These positions are benefits-eligible. At our level II nurseries, appointees will attend deliveries, perform neonatal resuscitations, stabilize infants for transport, and manage infants whose acuity allows them to remain at their birth hospital.

The University of Illinois Foundation is the official fundraising and private gift-receiving organization of the University of Illinois. It works closely with alumni and friends, faculty and staff, corporations and foundations, as well as campus development professionals to create fundraising programs and opportunities that benefit the University.
The Senior Prospect Development Analyst, University Initiatives, supports university-wide fundraising efforts by leading research initiatives focused on principal and chancellor-level prospects. Reporting to the Director of Research and Portfolio Management, UIF with a dotted reporting line to the Senior Director of Development, University Initiatives, this position serves as the lead researcher for top-tier prospects and will primarily focus on principal gift-level prospect identification, research, and reporting, and will monitor and offer strategic consultative support for the development of the principal gift pipeline. This position will combine reactive research with proactive discovery to identify individuals and organizations with the capacity and alignment to make a significant impact on UICs mission.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the lead researcher for university-wide initiatives, principal gifts, and chancellor-level prospects, delivering comprehensive, strategic research to inform high-level cultivation and solicitation strategies.
Proactively identify new high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and organizations aligned with UICs mission and strategic priorities.
Collaborate with the senior director of development for university initiatives and director of principal gift engagement to provide insight and recommendations on prospects interests, giving capacity, philanthropic affiliations, and potential pathways to engagement.
Develop detailed prospect profiles and briefing information in support of major, principal and transformational gift activities.
Monitor philanthropic trends, industry news, and donor movement to identify emerging opportunities and challenges for engagement.
Maintain University of Illinois Foundation standards, in accordance with University of Illinois Development Policies, Processes and Procedures, and maintain high standards for data accuracy, privacy and compliance in all research and prospect development activities.
Leverage internal database, external tools, and analytical resources to develop insights on wealth, capacity and philanthropic alignment.
Support senior leadership with tailored research deliverables to guide high-level engagement strategies.
Monitor daily media alerts on top prospects and share information relevant to prospect strategies with appropriate team members.
Establish a deep understanding of the top prospects and ensure that research and information in all systems is kept current and available. Read contact reports related to all top prospects.
Maintain the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 8 years of experience in prospect research, prospect development, or related advancement roles, preferably in a complex academic or research environment.
Demonstrated experience conducting high-level research for principal and transformative gift prospects.
Deep knowledge of wealth screening tools, databases and CRM systems (e.g., Blackbaud).
Proven ability to synthesize complex data into concise, strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of evaluating and analyzing financial information including SEC filings, government documents, deeds and property tax assessments, and other wealth documents to assess potential philanthropic capacity.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to a range of audiences including senior leadership.
Strong understanding of fundraising and development strategy, particularly within principal and major gift contexts.
Bachelors degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications in research, library science, nonprofit management, or related fields preferred.

The starting salary range for this position is projected to be $56,000 - $62,000 per year. While our job postings include salary ranges, your compensation will be based on your specific experience and qualificationswe're not limited by these posted ranges.
