The Senior Charge Description Master (CDM) Coordinator is responsible for supporting Revenue Integrity at Johns Hopkins by ensuring the accuracy and compliance of the Charge Master. This role leads complex CDM maintenance, supports annual updates, and works closely with clinical, billing, compliance, and IT teams to ensure charges are built, captured, and billed correctly. The ideal candidate has strong hospital Charge Master experience and a deep working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and revenue codes. Coding certification is not required, but hands-on CDM maintenance experience is essential. Candidates with approximately five to seven years of Charge Master experience are encouraged to apply, with flexibility to hire at the coordinator or senior level based on experience.
Requirements:
Requires High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree strongly preferred
Three (3) to Six (6) years of experience in the hospital setting, healthcare industry, or coding, directly related to chargemaster maintenance.
Skills and Knowledge
Strong knowledge of hospital coding and documentation standards, billing workflows, and compliance requirements.
Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and how clinical services translate into codes and charges.
Experience working with Maryland HSCRC regulations and the ability to interpret complex billing and regulatory guidance.
Strong analytical skills to reconcile regulatory and government requirements related to Charge Master maintenance.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with all levels of staff.

The Director, Facilities Engineering for The Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH) and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (SOM) is responsible for leading the Facilities Engineering teams for JHH's inpatient and ambulatory care facilities and the research and education facilities for the SOM. JHH operates approximately 1000 inpatient beds and the two facilities together encompass approximately 8M square feet. The Director provides guidance to managerial staff, mechanics, technicians, and support staff to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations defined by The Joint Commission, NFPA, AAALAC, and other regulating bodies. Devises and implements strategies to ensure a high quality of service and standards of care by implementing modern technologies, methods, and techniques. Coordinates training and other programs to develop and enhance the technical and management skills of staff and to ensure the retention and career advancement of employees and managers in the department.
Ensures that the work and efforts of the division are effectively communicated to team members, peers, and leadership of the department, SOM, Hospital, and Health System. Works with appropriate parties across the Health System and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine to implement innovative safety practices consistently. Works with internal and external customers to plan for and support continual changes and advances in healthcare, research, and education.
Develops departmental policies and procedures and manages their implementation in accordance with institutional and departmental strategic objectives or initiatives. Prepares operational staffing and budgetary plans and manages resources to achieve goals. Assesses, manages and mitigates departmental fiscal risks and tracks and reports key functional metrics to departmental leadership to reduce expenses, improve effectiveness, and to maintain the financial health of the department. Utilizes institutional benchmarking tools to look for areas of performance improvement. Actively participates in the annual capital budgeting process. Performs general managerial duties such as supervising staff, planning, scheduling, budgeting, data analysis, reporting, and performing presentations. Represents the department to patients, staff, faculty, visitors, or interested parties. This work is performed under the minimal supervision of the JHHS Executive Director, Facilities Management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business, or related field. MBA or related master's degree preferred.
10 or more years in healthcare facilities including 7 or more years related work experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

Pathologists Assistant Job Responsibilities
Performs special procedures such as coronary artery perfusion studies, central nervous system perfusion studies and enucleations.
Assists in the organization and coordination of anatomic pathology conferences and attends departmental business meetings.
Obtains clinical history (e.g. scans, X-rays, laboratory data, etc.) as indicated after consulting with the Pathologist.

Years of Experience: Per College of American Pathologists (CAP): three months of experience including; Laboratory training including either completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by the AAPA, NAACLS or other organization approved by HHS (note that this training may be included in the 60 semester hours listed within Education notes) or at least three months of recorded laboratory training in each specialty in which the individual performs high complexity testing. Qualifications
Requires Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or Information Management is preferred.
CRCE/CMPA/CHFP certification preferred, leadership role in industry organizations such as HFMA, AAHAM, or MHA strongly encouraged.
A minimum of ten (10) years of hospital receivables/operations management experience within a large academic medical center or health system, with at least six (6) of those years in a management capacity.

Salary Range: Minimum 36.31/hour - Maximum 56.28/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.

Summary:
Reports to the Administrator and is responsible for the management of all clinical operations for the department, including personnel, equipment, training, space, etc. Develops departmental goals, policies and procedures. Mentors managers, oversees, and stewards projects to scheduled completion, reviews expenditures with managers and implements operational solutions to budgetary issues. Oversees departmental compliance with regulatory agency requirements. Manages capital equipment selection and purchasing, equipment and space. Represents the department on institutional committees.
Education: Work requires a professional level of knowledge in business administration in order to effectively manage the administrative and clinical activities in the department, as acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in business, Health Science Administration or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of administrative/ supervisory experience in health care operations and finance, preferably in a hospital setting.
