As Maryland's only Level 1 pediatric trauma center and state-designated pediatric burn ICU, the PICU cares for children up to 15 years of age with complex diagnoses including respiratory failure, metabolic disorders, seizure disorders, multiorgan failure, shock, toxic ingestions, and neonatal and pediatric ECMO. Our surgical services encompass extensive general, cardiac, thoracic, orthopedic, and neurologic procedures. Must work 5 out of 6 weekends in a 6 week schedule) Qualifications: BSN/MSN from an accredited nursing program preferred. Applicants with an Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited program may be considered if enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within one year of hire and completing the degree within five years. Active Maryland or Compact RN license required. BLS CPR certification (AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted). Minimum of one year of RN experience in a pediatric critical care setting. **Must have authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship applicants will not be considered). The Patient Care Tech Intern works under the supervision of a nurse and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates. The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) is a 32-bed adult inpatient surgical unit. The unit offers 3 levels of care: floor, telemetry, and intermediate care for acute cardiac, vascular, and other surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring. Care and services provided: coronary artery bypass, Heartmate II or III & Heartware mechanical circulatory support devices, valve replacement or repairs, Type A & B aortic dissections, fem-pop bypass, scalenectomy, TAVR, heart or lung transplantation.
