We are seeking talented individuals in any of the previously mentioned fields to help us design systems to address the nation's immediate needs within the intelligence community. As a team that develops these entire systems from end-to-end, we have a range of technical focuses that need support. These range from the hardware (circuit design, FPGA work, and embedded development), to the software (web/linux/android development as well as GPU optimization) and even to data analytics.
As an Engineering Intern in the Signals Exploitation Systems Group, you may:
* Support the development of new algorithmic possibilities by assisting in the brainstorming, prototyping, implementation, and/or optimization.
* Assist in the development of portable communication devices and miniature wireless systems through board-level circuit design and integration of analog/RF and high-speed digital components, commercially available chipsets, and embedded processors.
* Work with a small team of developers to design, implement, and test software solutions for advanced RF exploitation and communication applications.
* Support evaluation, testing, and debugging of prototype and deliverable devices through lab and field testing.
* Contribute to design reviews, system integration, technical reports and informal memoranda, and presentation of work to sponsors and the technical community.
Qualifications
You will meet our minimum requirements if you:
* Are pursuing a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in fields related to Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering or Physics.
* Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
* Have experience developing applications using at least one of the following: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Matlab.
* Are passionate about and capable of learning new technologies and test methods.
* Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
You will go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you have any of the following:
* Experience with or knowledge of RF hardware design and related test equipment.
* Knowledge of Digital Signal processing.
* Experience with FPGA design.
* Exposure to Web/Android development.
* Willingness to work on quick-reaction projects with a short turn-around time.

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. Job Summary:
This internship is designed to provide STEM students in their baccalaureate years with experience working with the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Applied Water Science Laboratory team, which includes microbiology, chemistry, and instrumentation. Additionally, the program seeks to increase the diversity of scientists involved in conservation and aquatic animal science.
Students will assist water science laboratory staff with instrument calibration and maintenance, daily rounds, chemistry and microbiology testing, and participate in laboratory safety training, as required. They will also observe and assist applied water science staff, including aquatic life support operators, data management, and the environmental discharge management to facilitate a better understanding of these aspects of applied water science at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The student is required to design, implement, and present a final project pertinent to the Aquarium and Applied Water Science at the conclusion of the internship.
The work environment includes, but is not limited to, behind the scenes areas, the Water Science Laboratory, and office time. It may include work in wet, slippery areas, hot and humid areas, variable temperatures, and varying weather conditions. Locations may also vary between the Monterey Bay Aquarium, various off-site facilities, and field sites around Monterey Bay.

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master's degree program or within one year post-graduation
In good academic standing
Able to work safely in a laboratory environment utilizing handheld laboratory tools, such as pipettes

The Applied Water Science Internship is offered in the summer through fall of 2026 for up to 480 hours. Weekend work is unavailable as the lab operates Monday-Friday.

Qualifications

About This Position:
Support Dega Systems' technical departments while developing IT and cybersecurity skills. Interns get first-hand experience in help desk support, technical audits, cybersecurity, and strategic IT. This is a hands-on role with accessible credentialing opportunities and a supportive onboarding experience. Making Waves Education Foundation is assisting Dega Systems with hiring for this internship.
We will begin reviewing applications as early as November 7, 2025.
What You'll Do:
Shadow Tier 1 engineers on ticket triage, monitoring, and resolution
Participate in user onboarding/offboarding and account management
Assist Tech Alignment Managers with site/system audits: update network diagrams, asset inventories, and SOPs
Review patching, MFA, backup verification, compliance checklists
Contribute to alignment meetings on client risk and remediation
Build reports and dashboards for internal/external use
Support EDR/MDR, phishing simulations, and security awareness training
Document patching/vulnerability reports; observe incident response exercises
Produce at least one SOP or Knowledge Base article; complete a mini-audit and technical project
Pursue weekly certification coursework in CompTIA (ITF+, A+, Network+, Security+) or free Microsoft learning
