Duties and Responsibilities

Interacts with the Project Manager to determine the project schedule; develops and utilizes "look ahead" schedules to assess progress and spot upcoming issues.
Coordinates the pre-construction meeting with the Project Manager prior to mobilization.
Directs procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
Ensures all parties involved with the project are informed of construction issues and progress: (1) meets with and directs supervisory personnel engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays; (2) meets regularly with craft personnel to update them on construction issues and to gather input for solutions; (3) meets with subcontractors prior to the sub's mobilization to review scope of work and schedule; also, advises subs prior to each phase of work on schedule and phasing requirements; and (4) meets regularly with clients to update them on the project's progress.
Works with supervisory personnel and labor representatives to resolve complaints and grievances within the project work force.
Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and/or inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and to improve construction methods.
Inspects work in progress to ensure that work conforms to specifications and to construction schedules.
Manages the project based on progress reports, materials used, and costs and adjusts work schedules accordingly. (

Works with the Manager of Craft Resources to move personnel from project to project, minimizing hiring and layoffs; is responsible for crew mixes and work assignments to manage labor costs; may terminate company craft personnel not performing according to company policies, procedures, or other job requirements.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience in ground-up commercial projects, particularly in the light industrial and/or cold storage sector.
Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes.
Has a valid driver's license and is able to travel to and from the project site.
Understands and applies building codes and other design requirements correctly and reads blueprints accurately.

The Senior Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all electrical aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive electrical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Electrical Superintendent ensures that all electrical work complies with safety standards, codes, and regulations while meeting project deadlines and budget constraints.
Duties and Responsibilities

Ensures that “Constructing with Integrity” is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.
Oversee and manage all electrical installations and maintenance activities on construction sites.
Develop and implement detailed project plans and schedules.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals.
Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to electrical foremen, journeymen, and apprentices.
Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment on project goals and updates.
Ensure all electrical work meets or exceeds industry standards and client specifications.
Conduct regular inspections and quality checks.
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
Conduct safety training and ensure all team members are aware of potential hazards and safe work practices.
Monitor project budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including blueprints, progress reports, and change orders.
Prepare and submit detailed reports to project managers and clients.
Liaise with other trades and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
Qualifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of experience with a general contractor or 12 years as a trade foreman.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

* Participates in pre-construction meetings for assigned business unit projects, highlighting project safety needs and issues.
* Ensures accident reporting is accurate and prompt with prevention measures implemented.
* Assists with injury management to ensure industrial medical care is provided with attention given to cost control.
* The ESH Manager is responsible for safety program development, implementation, and oversight in the assigned operating business units.
* Functionally supervises the safety behavior of all craft workers and employees in the assigned business unit.
* This position interacts with SBU leaders, craft personnel, site supervision, HR, marketing, and accounting to ensure efficient administration of ESH Issues.
* This position interfaces with government agencies, including the OSHA, the EPA, and MSHA. Also, represents the company with AGC, ABC, and other outside construction related organizations.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Has Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety & Health or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Has excellent knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations and applies them to the conditions found on project sites.
* 2 to 5 years additional ESH experience preferred.
* ASP and CSP accreditations preferred.
* Previous OCIP experience preferred.
* Basic Spanish language communication preferred.
* Demonstrates good interpersonal relations by working well with teams internally and externally. Also, develops team members by appropriately delegating and coaching.
* Understands and applies industrial hygiene principles and best practices.
* Skilled at making verbal and written presentations and communications with others.
