Job Summary
The Learning Experience is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support multiple centers across Palm Beach and Broward County. This role ensures our buildings remain safe, efficient, and fully operational through preventative maintenance, general repairs, and vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical repairs, and light carpentry
Conduct routine facility inspections to identify safety or maintenance needs
Manage service requests and vendor dispatch using Corrigo or similar maintenance software
Coordinate vendor work for landscaping, cleaning, HVAC, specialty trades, and larger repairs
Track repair costs and stay within established maintenance budgets
Maintain accurate logs, maintenance records, and compliance documentation
Keep company vehicle, tools, and equipment in proper working condition
Support new center openings, center transitions, and renovation projects
Qualifications
Five or more years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or skilled trades
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
Technical training or building maintenance certification preferred
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
Valid drivers license and ability to obtain DOT medical certification
Strong problem solving and time management skills
Ability to work independently and travel between assigned centers
Flexibility for occasional nights, weekends, or overnight travel
