The Coding Quality Reviewer II is responsible for performing quality analysis of coded medical records, documenting the analysis, summarizing the metrics and reporting quality statistics to management. Responsible for complex multi-specialty coding to include but not limited to: Neurosurgery, UI, Neurology, Critical Care, hospitalists, surgical and others as defined. The Coding Quality Reviewer II is also responsible for communicating identified issues to coding staff and management, as well as reviewing and correcting coding issues from the EMR and PMS systems. In addition, the Coding Quality Reviewer II may be called upon to provide education to staff and clients, prepare coding audits for physician education, and/or coding charts as business needs dictate.
The Coding Quality Reviewer II is responsible for providing and ensuring accurate, complete and timely coding of professional services to include all surgical and inpatient services. All coding staff must ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Coding Quality Reviewer II is also responsible for performing audits in accordance with NGPG's annual Compliance Work Plan and preparing written and oral communications to the Coding Compliance Manager.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Perform timely, concurrent quality review of coded medical records.
Correct errors identified in the quality process in both EMR and PMS systems.
Maintain coding quality statistics and provide detailed reporting to management.
Communicate errors to the Posting, Clinicians and AR staff on an individual basis.
Communicate to management any problem areas identified in the quality process and steps taken to resolve.
Assist with the review and correction of coding errors in the billing process (TM queues).
Assist with the review and correction of coding errors in the electronic claims process (clearinghouse on-line errors).
Promptly and professionally respond to both verbal and written coding questions from the internal staff and other areas of the company.
Review documentation deficiencies for accuracy and communicate identified errors to the coding staff and management.
Prepare documentation audits as needed for on-site physician education.
Production coding of medical records as per business needs.
Adherence to Coding policy and procedures.
Review charge slips/cards for completeness (providers are ultimately responsible for codes they assign).
Attends Regional and Local sponsored in-services and/or continuing education.
Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations as necessary.
Provide and/or validate CPT, ICD-9-CM and HCPCS coding of professional services for outpatient clinics, outreach offices or programs, minor diagnostic procedures, and/or ancillary services.
Review charge tickets for missing or inaccurate information. Items reviewed include service and diagnosis codes units of service, modifiers, facility code, place of service, provider billing numbers, etc.
Communicate with providers and clinic staff to ensure charge capture of all professional services, supplies, drugs, vaccinations, etc.
Monitor reconciliation procedures to ensure all charges are captured and billed in a timely manner.
Research and correct claims manager edits in a timely manner by applying coding and carrier specific guidelines while maintaining compliance initiatives.
Provide coding coverage to other specialties, departments, divisions, and/or units as required.
Attend billing educational sessions to enhance coding knowledge i.e. American Academy of Professional Coders, Professional Medical Coding Curriculum, NGPG Compliance Proficiency training, specialty seminars.
Performs other job duties as assigned.

What You Bring
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.

At least two (2) years of healthcare experience with strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy/physiology, ICD-10 coding, and chart abstraction.

Coding Education & Quality Auditors (CEQA) conduct coding/billing/documentation audits of all NGPG/NGHS Providers to determine organizational integrity of coding/billing for professional services, including detection and correction of documentation, coding and billing errors. Audits consist of evaluation of the adequacy and accuracy of documentation to support services billed including ICD-9/ICD10/CPT/HCSPCS and other third-party payer codes. CEQAs ensure the medical necessity of services, compliance with other documentation, coding and billing standards. CEQAs apply standardized audit scoring methodology to evaluate consistency of documentation and coding, and standardized audit findings methodology to report audit results. CEQAs communicate audit results to physicians, physician leadership, senior management, Compliance department and staff. CEQAs are required to provide physician and coder education, and make recommendations to management for corrective action. CEQAs serve as an institutional subject matters expert and resource on interpretation and application of documentation and coding rules and regulations. CEQAs assure the quality of the coding documentation fits service and codes, and any missing labels on documentation are corrected.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Coordinates, schedules, performs the professional services documentation and coding audits of outpatient records for NGPG/NGHS.
Evaluates the quality of clinical documentation to identify incomplete or inconsistent documentation that could impact the quality of data being reported.
Audits codes and professional fee services performed by providers from medical records according to ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and CMS guidelines.
Audits every charge for new providers, PRN providers, locum providers, and any under compliance audit daily, till said provider passed an audit.
Meets with the providers to review the audit findings and to recommend ways to improve when indicated.
Orients and trains new providers throughout the year.
Audit charts for accurate and correct coding and compliance within documentation guidelines and NGPG/NGHS policies.
Prepares written reports of the audit findings by provider/practice.
Follows up with providers as needed until documentation improves.

PRIMARY ROLE OBJECTIVE: The Call Conversion Manager is a mission-critical leadership role responsible for the daily operations, alignment with strategic direction, and relevant operational coordination with FHC clinics and the FHC call conversion staff. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises Call Conversion staff and acts as a partner and liaison between FHC and any contracted call conversion support companies/teams.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Drive a performance-based sales mindset, coaching staff to use persuasive, patient-centered communication that drives scheduled visits.
* Supervise and support the performance of call conversion staff and act as a liaison with any/all contracted call support vendors.
* Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and training to promote patient-centered customer service and effective appointment conversation, including the oversight and effective use of IVR (Interactive Voice Response) in FHC's phone system.
* Coordinate with clinic-level leadership & staff to optimize provider schedules and appointment access.
* Achieve schedule fill rates and implement strategies to meet organizational access targets.
* Collect, analyze, and present data related to call center operations, including call-to-conversion rate, call volume, abandonment rate, call wait time, provider utilization, and time-to-fill metrics.
* Translate data insights into actionable plans to improve conversion and patient satisfaction.
* Serve as the organizational expert on scheduling policies, workflows, and tools.
* Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for call handling, scheduling, and non-clinical triage and escalation.
* Ensure call conversion staff appropriately identify clinical red flags that require escalation to licensed clinical professionals in accordance with established protocols.
* Support integration of clinic-defined protocols and best practices into call center workflows.
* Facilitate team meetings and participate in cross-departmental improvement initiatives.
* Address patient complaints and service recovery cases related to call center interactions.
* Ensure compliance with JC, HIPAA, HRSA, and other applicable regulations and standards.
* Collaborate with clinical supervisors, IT, billing, and QIP to ensure call center operations align with organizational priorities and compliance requirements.
