As a LBS2/Bilingual Specialist at The Menta Education Group, you will advance student achievement among English language learners. Collaborate with the organizational curriculum team to develop a vertically aligned, research-based, and effective curriculum. Provide modeling, coaching, and staff development for administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service staff. Job DescriptionThe corporate office at The Menta Education Group is located at 2471 W Sullivan Rd, Aurora, IL 60506. Standard Operating Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday A School Psychologist with The Menta Education Group will provide regional leadership to effectively help students succeed. This includes working with parents, educators, and other professionals to create supportive academic learning and social environments for all students. Successful candidates for this position will have strong skills in data-based decision-making, multidisciplinary collaboration, functional behavior assessment/SEL Goal writing and behavioral approaches to change, intervention planning, risk assessment, progress monitoring, program evaluation, and consultation with educational staff, parents, and other professionals. Knowledge of childhood mental illnesses and empirically-based interventions is essential. Local travel to our school network, with occasional regional travel is required. As a Paraprofessional with The Menta Education Group, you will be responsible for working with classroom instructors and staff to offer targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school Staff Hours: 7:30 am to 3 pm, Mon-Fri, following a 10-Month School CalendarResponsibilities Individually monitor the assigned student addressing academic, functional, behavioral, or safety concerns as noted in the IEP under the supervision of licensed professional staff. Prepare and adapt materials for use in the classroom; maintain classrooms and materials in good order. Inform clinical staff of social, emotional, or behavioral concerns of students. Implement and maintain behavior program policies and data. Coordinate and communicate with administration and other staff members in order to ensure consistent application of the academic and therapeutic program. Fill in as needed and as requested throughout the program. Have awareness of other students in the program in order to ensure consistent application of the academic and therapeutic program. Maintain confidentiality of students and student records. Attend all staff meetings and in-service training as requested. Report any unusual incidents or safety concerns to the administration. Support and promote administrative policies and goals. As a Paraprofessional who provides Student Transportation with The Menta Group, you will be responsible for working with classroom instructors and staff to offer targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school. You will also provide student transportation to and from school, using school equipment (van or bus). Responsibilities Manage classroom behaviors Provide regular, before & after school student transportation (to and from school) and also "as needed" transportation during school hours.
