Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist - Insurance Brokerage (Fully Remote) About the Role: Our client, a leading retail insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist to join their accounting team. This role requires strong attention to detail and experience with EPIC. You will handle the receivables and will also help with some segregation of duties, determined by the Controller. Key Responsibilities: Invoice all premiums, endorsements, audits, and cancellation premiums via account manager activities. Post daily cash receipts via bank deposits, third party payment batches, and financed funds. Maintain accounts receivable report, research payment discrepancies promptly. Create activities to generate return premium refunds to the client or finance company when applicable. Other accounting tasks as assigned. As an Associate Accountant, you will post journal entries, update financial statements, prepare monthly financial reports for subsidiaries, and completes variance reconciliations. This position is also responsible for updating financial records via accounting software and support to Accountants. This is a hybrid eligible position with remote work consideration. This position may require planned visits to a Company office. Description of Duties & Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of various tax forms, including sales tax returns, premium and municipal tax returns, and state tax forms for parent, subsidiaries and non-profit. This position is hybrid - Tuesday - Thursday in the New York Office and Monday and Friday work from home. Senior Associate - Derivative Accounting & Reporting performs a variety of duties including accounting and reporting of the Derivatives for NYL ,NYLIAC and LINA General & Separate Accounts on a Statutory and management basis as well as NYLE on a GAAP basis. As an Associate Accountant, you will post journal entries, update financial statements, prepare monthly financial reports for subsidiaries, and completes variance reconciliations. This position is also responsible for updating financial records via accounting software and support to Accountants. This is a hybrid eligible position with remote work consideration. This position may require planned visits to a Company office. Description of Duties & Responsibilities: * Assist with the preparation of various tax forms, including sales tax returns, premium and municipal tax returns, and state tax forms for parent, subsidiaries and non-profit. * Assist with preparation of financial statement exhibits for budgeting, forecasting, planning, and statutory reporting. * Create general ledger entries and reconcile various general ledger accounts. Prepare bank reconciliations and assist in daily banking transactions. * Post invoices and other transactions in subsidiary accounting software using information from the revenue system to ensure that records are posted timely and accurately. * Assist team in researching accounting variances and working with various departments to correct accounting entries. Assist accountant in developing supporting documentation for external sources as needed. * Input new assets into fixed asset software, record asset amortization and depreciation and reconcile balances to the general ledger. * Special projects as needed or assigned.
