Description:WHAT WE'RE DOING As a Member of the Software Configuration Management team, on the Joint Strike Fighter Training & Simulation program, your mission is to maintain the integrity and traceability of the COTS software released by the program to its customers.
THE WORK
The team operates in a software-focused environment where a variety of software tools are employed ranging from MS Office, to the Atlassian suite to EPDM.
As a Software Configuration Analyst, you will:
• Coordinate across teams
• Assess and close COTS software license-related problem reports
• Support Third Party Compliance (3PC) team for license compliance
• Partner with IPT engineering to confirm COTS software requirements and obsolescence
• Partner with 3rd party/OEM vendors to confirm portal access, purchased versions, agreement types, OEM account information and obsolescence
• Work with 3rd party/OEM vendors for correct versions required (downgrades and upgrades)
WHO YOU ARE
Strong computer skills are expected. The tasking of the team varies day-to-day based on program needs, so organization and communication skills are important to ensuring tasks are completed correctly and efficiently. Surge support is required to meet critical deadlines due to the work's critical nature, and extra effort may be needed.
Note: This position requires on-site presence in the Orlando office to meet client needs. Seeking individuals with the ability to intermittently flex work hours to support program schedules.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 1 or more years of engineering experience
• Experience with COTS/GOTS/FOSS Administration
• Ability to analyze proposed changes of product design to determine COTS SW licensing impacts to the product baselines

THE WORK

As a key member of our Software Engineering team, you will:
• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps
• Containerize applications using Docker and Podman
• Develop and maintain scripts using languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of code changes into the CI/CD pipeline
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the CI/CD pipeline, including debugging and optimizing pipeline performance
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, including implementing security scanning and vulnerability management tools

The Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) is seeking a qualified Project Manager to plan, assess, coordinate, oversee, and lead the implementation and rollout of a Learning Management System (LMS). This part-time role averages approximately twenty (20) hours per week, with hours varying based on business needs. The selected employee will undergo an on site orientation in Salem, OR, lasting approximately 16 to 40 hours, upon starting their role. The selected candidate will begin by spending time on-site at the academy to meet stakeholders and understand the project scope; remote work will be available thereafter.

Estimated project duration is approximately 18 months, from contract execution through full implementation.
Agency Overview
DPSST serves Oregon's public safety community, including police, corrections, fire, parole and probation, and emergency medical dispatch. Its mission is to promote excellence in public safety by providing high-quality training and by developing and upholding professional standards for police, fire, corrections, parole and probation, and telecommunications personnel. DPSST also licenses private security professionals and private investigators in Oregon.
Project Overview
DPSST is a multidisciplinary public safety learning institution that currently lacks the modern technological tools needed to efficiently create, manage, and deliver learning materials. Existing systems for managing training resources, curriculum, and instructional content are outdated, do not support distance learning, and no longer meet the evolving needs of DPSST students and stakeholders. To address these challenges and support more flexible, accessible, technology-driven training models, DPSST received funding in the 2025-2027 biennium to procure and implement a modern Learning Management System (LMS).

Role accountabilities:

Sandia's artificial intelligence (AI) team is building the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) next-generation AI Platform, an integrated scientific AI capability that delivers rapid, high-impact solutions for national security, science, and applied energy missions. The Platform is based on three pillars: Models, Infrastructure, and Data. You will join the Data Pillar team to design, implement, and operate Sandia's AI-ready, zero-trust data ecosystem. About Our Team:
The Computational Science Department performs leading-edge software development and technical analysis through physics-based modeling and simulation, using our applications expertise as 'power users' to guide software development at Sandia's Center for Computing Research. Our goal is to establish first-of-a-kind uses of this software in diverse applications of national importance, ranging from nuclear stockpile stewardship to global climate modelling, and spanning multiple disciplines of the physical sciences and engineering. Candidates must have experience preparing environmental documents and reports, including technical reports, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents, and permit applications; and must have an understanding of managing energy projects regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The successful candidate will be engaged in both client development, through the management and growth of new and existing client relationships, and in project delivery.
Role accountabilities:
As an Environmental Permitting Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the life cycle of environmental permitting projects. This will include leading proposal scope and cost development; managing project budgets, schedules, and risk; client and regulatory agency coordination; and leading technical delivery and providing senior review of client deliverables. Successful candidates will have expertise in providing permitting strategies and guidance to both clients and internal teams. The role - what you'll do
Barr is seeking an environmental scientist to join our Bismarck, North Dakota, team. In this hybrid role, you will support our Water Resources group with challenging and fast-paced work on environmental impact assessment, permitting, and compliance projects.
A successful person in this role will have strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. They possess exceptional organization skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a flexible working style. They are also willing to occasionally modify their schedule to meet deadlines and/or client needs.
Your impact - key responsibilities
Field support: conducting wetland delineations, inventories, functional assessments, protected species assessments, botanical inventories, and other ecological field investigations.
Permitting and regulatory support: conducting and writing environmental impact assessments and related documentation, interpreting regulatory and permitting processes, communicating with regulatory agencies and client contacts, and developing and reviewing environmental permit applications.
Environmental impact and reporting: performing desktop and field-based threatened and endangered species reviews and other biological and/or natural resources inventories (i.e., raptor surveys, migratory bird surveys, noxious weed inventories, etc.).
About the opportunity
Compensation: anticipated range of $75,000-95,000 annually. Compensation will vary based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance. This position is classified as Exempt (salaried) under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Hybrid: a hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office. This position is based out of Barr's Bismarck, North Dakota, office.
Travel requirement: daily travel to field and client sites within the state of North Dakota during peak season. Up to 10 percent domestic field/on-site work involving short-term, out-of-town assignments.
Work environment: some fieldwork locations include difficult terrain typical of backcountry (e.g., dense vegetation, fallen timber, poor footing soils, streams), roadway, and construction sites. Work may also require entering and working in facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of mining or other industrial facilities. Safety training will be provided.
Physical requirements: walking up to 10 miles per day in extreme temperatures of up to 90+ degrees Fahrenheit.
About you - required core competencies
Education: Bachelor's degree in environmental science/studies/policy, ecology, natural resources management, biology, botany, or a related natural resources field.
Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience related to the job responsibilities described above.
Licenses/certifications: must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Travel: ability and willingness to travel to site and client locations.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future.
Helpful additional experience (not required)
Experience with state and federal environmental review, regulatory interpretation, and permitting processes (including EAW, EA, and EIS) in the Midwest.
Professional Wetland Scientist Certification.
Wetland delineation, wetland functional assessment, wetland restoration design and construction, and restoration project monitoring, contracting, and management experience.
Familiarity with CAD or GIS tools (ArcGIS, Collector, etc.).
