As a Maintenance Worker, you'll play a hands-on role in maintaining our shelter and administrative facilities, vehicles, and equipment. Your work will help ensure our programs run smoothly and that clients and staff feel welcome and supported in their environments. What You'll Do You'll be responsible for a mix of custodial, repair, maintenance, and inspection tasks across The Night Ministry's facilities and vehicles. This position is based primarily at our Open Door Shelter/West Town location but may involve support across other program sites. Key responsibilities include: Cleaning & Sanitation * Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in bathrooms, kitchens, offices, hallways, and common areas. * Replenish supplies and remove trash regularly. * Vacuum, sweep, mop, strip, and wax floors as needed. * Clean storage areas and perform occasional window, wall, and vent cleaning. General Maintenance * Perform minor repairs in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing systems. * Paint, change light bulbs, and maintain interior/exterior fixtures. * Conduct seasonal outdoor work (snow shoveling, mowing, litter pickup). * Assist with vehicle upkeep and documentation. * Drive agency vehicles for supply runs or scheduled maintenance. Systems & Preventative Maintenance * Monitor and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems. * Schedule and perform routine system inspections and repairs. * Collaborate with the Facilities Manager on major repair needs or cost-saving recommendations. * Maintain logs and inspection records as needed. Additional Duties * Grease trap and sump pump maintenance (in conjunction with contracts). * Support with agency events and supply management. * Participate in safety trainings, staff development sessions, and organizational meetings. * Respond to on-call maintenance needs when necessary. You can troubleshoot basic building issues, follow safety procedures, and work well with a wide range of people. Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED preferred. * Comfortable using hand and power tools. * Able to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor in indoor and outdoor environments. * Valid driver's license and clean driving record. * Able to respond to on-call emergencies as needed. * Familiarity with maintenance compliance requirements and audit preparation a plus. * Spanish language skills and blueprint-reading ability are helpful. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Coordinate all aspects of Summit Together Creative Placemaking program including ensuring that creative partners fulfill program deliverables; Serve as liaison to funder and attend all funder check-ins and cohort learning sessions; Develop and ensure adherence to program timeline ending August 31, 2026; Serve as primary liaison to program location partners and contractual creative partners; Engage cross-sector involvement to ensure equity and effectively integrate community voice; Work with community stakeholders to recruit youth and senior program participants; Facilitate community consensus-building processes and sessions to develop a shared vision and messaging; Create and manage community events and gatherings associated with creative projects, including a family event for mosaics placement, intergenerational garden event and final mural ribbon cutting ceremony; Attend senior and youth programming as possible in coordination with creative partners; Perform ongoing outreach to engage participation by Summit Community Network members and residents; Provide project updates at United Way Summit Community Network meetings; Responsible for implementing program evaluation in cooperation with SGA evaluation team; Meet weekly with Program Manager to review project timeline and deliverables; Serve as liaison to affiliated SGA projects such as Racial Healing, as assigned; Assist SGA Communications team and Project Coordinator in developing and implementing media outreach and public awareness campaigns; Other duties as assigned. The Fatherhood Group Facilitator (Part-time) provides supportive case management services to fathers in the Englewood community, as part of the Strong Fathers Strong Families program. This program works together to strengthen and support low-income, minority fathers by helping them to strengthen their relationships with their children, families and communities. The Strong Fathers Strong Families program will provide services directly to fathers, collaborate with early childhood programs, in particular the doulas, to improve their ability to include fathers in services to families and inform and advocate for policy decisions that directly impact fathers and their families. In addition to providing case management services, the role will facilitate fathers' skills-based and support groups, as well as plan father-child enrichment activities in the community. The Father Outreach Worker provides ongoing support to fathers and through the utilization of needs assessments and individual family support plans. This position coordinates with local referral partners to ensure the needs of each participant is fully met. Duties include, but are not limited to: * Facilitate weekly and/or bi-weekly group parenting classes using a specialized curriculum designed for the unique experiences of Fathers * Facilitate Fatherhood Support Group where fathers meet to give and receive support in a nonjudgmental space * Provide one-on-one coaching tailored support to address individual fathers' specific needs, challenges, and goals. * Provide practical support of case management and referrals for other services like job training, housing, or legal aid. Provide practical support, hands-on assistance and immediate resources that fathers need to fulfill their roles effectively, focusing on direct and tangible benefits. * Plan father-child activities, such as field trips, multi-generational group activities, and father-child events * Provide supplemental services, offering additional support that enhances the overall well-being of fathers and their families, contributing to long-term stability and personal growth. * Provide peer mentoring connecting fathers with experienced mentors who provide guidance, support, and encouragement * Collaborate with trained doulas to provide prenatal and postnatal education to provide fathers with education on pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care, helping them to understand their partner's experiences and how they can support them. The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience: * Two years experience working in a strength-based environment with fathers and families. * Knowledge and skills in working with families in crisis or trauma exposed situations. * Group facilitation expertise * Competency in understanding and working with diverse cultures and populations * Work related travel required so applicant will need access to reliable transportation * Understands the developmental stages and needs of children * Basic computer skills - word processing, email, internet research, on-line timesheet. * Flexible schedule. What You'll Do You'll be responsible for a mix of custodial, repair, maintenance, and inspection tasks across The Night Ministry's facilities and vehicles. This position is based primarily at our Open Door Shelter/West Town location but may involve support across other program sites. Key responsibilities include: Cleaning & Sanitation Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in bathrooms, kitchens, offices, hallways, and common areas. Replenish supplies and remove trash regularly. Vacuum, sweep, mop, strip, and wax floors as needed. Clean storage areas and perform occasional window, wall, and vent cleaning. General Maintenance Perform minor repairs in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing systems. Paint, change light bulbs, and maintain interior/exterior fixtures. Conduct seasonal outdoor work (snow shoveling, mowing, litter pickup). Assist with vehicle upkeep and documentation. Drive agency vehicles for supply runs or scheduled maintenance. Systems & Preventative Maintenance Monitor and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems. Schedule and perform routine system inspections and repairs. Collaborate with the Facilities Manager on major repair needs or cost-saving recommendations. Maintain logs and inspection records as needed. Additional Duties Grease trap and sump pump maintenance (in conjunction with contracts). Support with agency events and supply management. Participate in safety trainings, staff development sessions, and organizational meetings. Respond to on-call maintenance needs when necessary.
