Maintain accurate patient records, including patient history, test results, and imaging reports, in compliance with hospital or facility protocols. Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of nuclear medicine imaging equipment, ensuring proper function and safety. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to imaging equipment or radiopharmaceuticals. Ensure that all equipment and facilities meet safety standards, particularly in handling radioactive materials, to minimize risk to both patients and staff. Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols to protect both patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure. Radiation Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines regarding the use of radioactive substances, ensuring patient and staff safety at all times. Monitor and manage radiation exposure to patients, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Radiation Safety Office (RSO). Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety standards and best practices in radiation protection. Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the proper execution of imaging procedures. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area. Eligible for a Sign-On Bonus up to $10,000 Routinely performs a wide range of clinical analyses in all sections of the laboratory by properly utilizing a variety of methodologies and instrumentation according to laboratory policies and procedures and in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements in order to provide results of the highest level of quality to physicians and their patients. Primary responsibilities include culture and susceptibility testing, specimen processing, and rapid testing to support infectious disease and immunology testing.
