Interview patients for the purpose of gathering health history and current medications - health screening.
Participate in mandatory staff meetings as needed.
Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls.
Promote TOI's culture of exceptional behavioral standards for customer service.
Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including but not limited to, financial and client information.

PHYSICAL WORKING REQUIREMENTS:

Key responsibilities this position will perform include:
Evaluates patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consultation with medical staff.
Coordinates organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
Coordinates and assists in the surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management - including logistics such as arranging transportation, ensuring surgical packaging, and preparing lab specimens for shipment.
Provides support to donor families and conducts medial/social history interviews.
Updates donor information into electronic medical record

**The Organ Recovery Coordinator (ORC) has a work schedule of 12-hours per shift. Employees will work either day or night shifts (from 8:00 - 8:00). Employees working night shift receive an additional $5 per hour. Employees should plan to work 15 days per month. Work schedules are provided 30 days in advance.**

Provides support to providers and the nursing staff in the delivery of timely, quality patient health care services. Some duties include assisting with rooming patients, managing patient flow, administer medication, communication with patients.
Principle Responsibilities
Rooms patients, manages patient flow and obtains adequate patient medical information/data.
Confirms information with patient when necessary and document per practice.

Uses equipment following policies, procedures and manufacturer directions or standards.
Follows all policies, procedures, standard work, and proper techniques when providing patient care.
Cleans, stocks, maintains inventory for exam, medication and supply rooms.
Reports any acute problems and changes in patient's condition.
Applies High reliable safety principles to all interactions.

Required Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required principle competencies as listed on the job description
Non-Certified Applicants with less than six (6) months of Medical Assistant experience must have graduated from an accredited school with a clinical externship
