1955

The Boca Raton News began weekly publication in 1955.

1978

In 1978 the Cincinnati-based E.W. Scripps Company purchased the paper.

1988

Each December until his death in 1988, Pope hosted the largest Christmas tree in the world, shipped from the Pacific Northwest by rail to the grounds of the Enquirer, located adjacent to the Florida East Coast Railway tracks.

2004

In 2004, BRHS assured the preservation of these valuable resources by having them scanned and digitized into a searchable PDF format.

2005

Florida Digital Newspaper Library The Florida Digital Newspaper Library includes: Current Florida newspapers, digitized from 2005 – present, and Historic Florida newspapers.

2009
