2001

In 2001, he sold the Canadian business and opened a dealership in Richmond, Virginia.

The Pete Store has grown from a single location in 2001, to one of the largest PACCAR dealers in the world today.

2004

The Pete Store is named the 2004 Peterbilt North American Dealer of the Year.

2005

But 2005 was another turning point; John Arscott was diagnosed with colon cancer.

A third location, Blue Ridge Peterbilt, opens in 2005 in Raphine, VA to support customers in Western Virginia along the I-81 corridor.

2007

In 2007, The Pete Store acquires a Peterbilt dealer group with locations in Knoxville, TN, Greenville, SC, and Ringgold, GA.

2008

Another good outcome came in 2008, when the elder Arscott sent his son to Greenville to help a location that was then struggling.
