Responsibilities
Operate an electric or propane forklift.
Ensure accurate product procurement and placement of all product.
Complete appropriate forms and paperwork.
Conduct accurate inventory counts.
Trains to Pictsweet Food Safety and GMP procedures and complies with requirements.
Operate assigned PKMS duties; bar code scanning, operate computer, following directions.
Complies with attendance guidelines.
Follows personnel safety procedures.
Properly conducts pre-shift forklift inspection and completes forklift inspection sheet.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience operating a forklift in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Must be able to stack product bins, up to 25 feet high, in a safe and neat manner.
Must be able to stack bulk bins (up to 5 bins) safely with forklift.
Must pass Pictsweet's forklift certification program.
Achieve satisfactory assessment score for forklift drivers.
Successfully pass minimum 20/40 vision test.
Other:
Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Working in outdoor weather conditions, a 38-degree environment continuously, or extreme cold temperatures (-15 degrees) for extended periods.
Must be able to stand, lift, bend, and walk for an extended period.
Must be willing to work extended hours as needed (including weekends and holidays).

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The Lift Truck Operator (LTO) operates stand-up equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, move, or place in racks, products/materials in the cold storage. The ideal candidate will move materials in the warehouse, CPG, Natural Ingredients, and load/ unload truck trailers or shipping containers.
* Conducts daily inspections on assigned equipment which may include but not be limited to stand-up, sit-down, high reach, quad-mast, pallet jacks, or double pallet jack equipment.
* Consistently uses a radio frequency scan gun which is connected to computer (VMU) on lift that directs, identifies and tracks materials as it is moved.
* Responsible for physically rotating materials to ensure proper aging.
* Utilizes Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to relocate materials to the proper department for utilization.
* Will unload, transport, and store all incoming materials/finished goods using WMS.
* Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or GED.
* One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Record delivered goods in the receiving verification log.
Assist with accounts payable to resolve any invoice issues.
Ensure stocking areas are replenished daily (bags, boxes, film, etc.).
Daily housekeeping of packaging storage and unloading areas.
Inform Packaging Coordinator and Purchasing Manager of any current or potential issues.
Assist with the annual cycle count.
Receive materials inbound to the Warehouse as needed.
Research opportunities to reduce costs on existing materials.
All other duties that support the Warehouse as assigned by Purchasing Manager.

Forklift operating experience preferred.

The warehouse must remain USDA inspection ready at all times.
Conduct monthly and yearly inventories.
Keep management personnel up to date on warehouse operations through verbal and written communications.
Confirm product quality is acceptable prior to shipping.
Assure that all products meet customer requirements.
Inspects all trucks prior to loading; they must be clean, free of any foreign debris. Do not load any damaged product.
Aid in the training of new personnel.
Follow all safety, working, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the operation and mechanical maintenance of assigned packaging line(s).
Works cooperatively with supervisors, maintenance, and line workers to meet productivity standards.
Sets up line for production runs.
Capable of running multiple lines.
Continually monitors packaging equipment, product, packaging and personnel for the production run.
Maintains safety, quality and production standards for each production run.
Perform minor mechanical duties including minor repair of all line equipment.
Maintain and operate ink jet coders as well as case printers.
Performs preventative maintenance on line equipment as scheduled.
Communicates progress of line to supervision.
Responsible for correcting errors on line.
Actively develop solutions to limit operational downtime.
Consistently meet 100% efficiency standards and goals for film and over fill reduction for a sustained period.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a machine operator or related craft.
One-year of experience in direct operation and maintenance of machinery similar to those used by Pictsweet is preferred.
Will be capable of running two or more lines and/or performing general mechanical duties.
Must be able to maintain and repair basic mechanical operations of line equipment.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, weigh machines, metal detectors, VFFS baggers, and material handling systems.
Should possess an advanced understanding of packaging systems, applicable to Pictsweet packaging equipment.
Cognitive & Psychological:
Must be able to understand basic mathematical computation.
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and written in English.
Must be able to excel in a cooperative team environment.
Other:
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Must be able to stand, lift, bend, and walk for an extended period.
Must be able to work in cold environment (30-40 degrees), non-climate controlled area, and outdoor weather conditions.
Must be willing to work extended hours as needed (including weekends and holidays).
