The Polyclinic company history timeline
Since our founding in 1917, The Polyclinic has focused on one mission — promoting the health of our patients through personalized care.
In 1920 in Britain a consultative council on medical and allied services (Dawson Committee) described a health centre as an institution wherein various medical services, preventive and curative, are brought together.
The hospitals of the University of Chicago, for example, began operating a clinic on such a basis in 1928.
In 1971 Polyclinic established the first health center operated by a hospital to serve inner-city residents.
Establishment of health care "7th city dental clinic" was opened in March 1976 in adapted and attached to the dwelling house, previously planned for a vegetable store and children's dairy kitchen.
Over a period of little more than 30 years, 2 major repairs were carried out in the clinic, in 1993 two separate premises were connected by an extension, which allowed improving the working conditions of the personnel, creating physician offices and new workplaces.
The Polyclinic and The Everett Clinic joined Optum in 2019.
