Summary:

Core Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive and problem-focused dermatologic examinations
Formulate differential diagnoses and develop evidence-based treatment plans
Perform office-based procedures: cryotherapy, shave/punch biopsies, injections, excisions, wound care, and suturing
Assist the dermatologist in surgical cases and complex procedures
Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and pathology reports; communicate results promptly to patients
Prescribe medications and manage refills, including biologics and topical therapies
Provide pre- and post-operative counseling and written instructions
Document encounters accurately and timely in the EHR, ensuring coding/billing precision
Coordinate referrals and communicate findings with primary care physicians or other specialists as appropriate
Participate in inventory management of clinical supplies and medications
Contribute to quality-assurance projects and staff meetings
Foster a welcoming, compassionate environment that supports patient satisfaction and continuity of care
