Dr. McIntosh conceived the Safe’N’Clear® concept and coordinated the protective device initial design. She led and financed the first generation development of the Safe’N’Clear® product and managed the initial patent filings for the technology behind the device. Dr. McIntosh is the majority equity sponsor of Safe’N’Clear, Inc, and has transferred to Safe’N’Clear, Inc. all rights to the intellectual property and product prototypes. Dr. McIntosh is trained in the Communication Sciences, and holds a Bachelor of the Arts with a major in Speech Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a Master of the Arts in Interpersonal Communication from the University of Montana at Missoula, and a Doctorate in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas at Austin. Past clients include: U.S. Department of Navy, Charlotte Fire Department, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, American Renaissance Charter School, Lake Norman YMCA Preschool, and St. Patrick’s Preschool.
